Question on fourth bar sense 2.4.2 - HTC Amaze 4G

When I unlocked the screen, there is a vibration. How do you turn it off?
I already tried disabling all sounds in settings and it did not work.
Text input feedback disabled as well.
Help??
Thanks

SMS Popup over lockscreen - CM7

I just installed GSB 1.5 and I'm looking for a way to either get a SMS popup or preview on the lockscreen (like in Sense) so I can see what the message is without having to unlock the screen.
I've tried Handcent, SMS Popup, and Go SMS, and set it to enable popup over the lockscreen but none of them work! They only popup after I unlock.
Am I missing something? Does it have to do with the CM7 lockscreen or rotary unlock style?
Is there any solution other than using Widgetlocker?
Thanks!
EDIT: ok - I got it to work with SMS Popup but only when I set it to turn the screen on when a text comes. When I disable that, it requires me to unlock the screen first to see the popup. Is there any way to see the popup before unlocking but without the screen going on?
Handsent SMS works over the lockscreen for me.

What lock screen are you using? I'm using rotary style. I am trying to have sms popup over lockscreen while still locked, but can't seem to get it to work. I also don't want the screen to come on until I turn it on.
i have sms popup, the rotary lockscreen, and gsb 1.7. the popup works fine. there is an option to leave the screen off when popup received. not sure how well that feature works. the "mark read on close" option does not seem to work though.

with sms popup, additional settings->screen on for popup. if checked, your screen will turn on, if left unchecked it should not turn on screen. let me check to see if it works.
edit: so sms popup will turn the screen on and show up over the lock screen if that option is checked. if the option is not checked, it will not turn on the screen, but you have to unlock to see the popup. strange.
I see that, but I thought I had work once but now I'm not sure d/t I have tried multiple scenarios using Handcent, smspopup, chomp and Go sms.
With Handcent the screen comes on, then the popup, but it is only there for about 5-10 seconds before shutting the lockscreen off like normal. Then when you wake it back up you have to unlock.

Yes I know that's how it works, I'm just wondering why there is an option in Handcent that allows for sms to show when locked, I want it to show without screen coming on. I would like it in this order, 1.msg arrives 2.vibrate/alert 3.press end button 4.read msg 5.unlock to reply.

Charmeleon 5.0 issues with bootsound and dialer

Awesome rom!!! I am having just two nagging issues... I can't seem to disable the bootsound and I can't call my work voicemail and use the keypad to punch in passcode and menu options because the screen keeps timing out. I already reflashed with a double wipe... Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I should also mention that in PkMn tweaks there's a checkbox to disable bootsound that unchecks after each reboot. It says next to it "just works if you didn't disable it in aroma." I don't even know what "aroma" is....
Also, I have the display set to sleep at 2minutes and when the dialer is on it shuts right away.

Diasable sense 5.5 lockscreen?

Has anyone had any luck disabling the stock lock screen in sense 5.5? I had been using widgetlocker with the lock screen copletely disabled through settings but that option seems to be missing now. I've tried disabling the HTC lockscreen apk through the settings menu and also freezing it through titanium, both methods did nothing to remove it. I know it's nit picking but I don't like how the lock screen will appear briefly sometimes before widgetlocker overrides it. More annoyingly my alarms can't be turned off from and oddly when they go off widgetlocker doesn't allow me to unlock. This happens with calls from time to time as well. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same issue. Use this app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock&hl=en
Finally gets rid of the annoying lockscreen.

vibrations options

Unbelievable but obviously true, the tab vibrates by incoming calls only. There are no other options for vibration feedback like on the keyboard or home screen for example. That's quite poor for such a tab in my opinion

Yes, of course but only that one option for incoming calls

Hi @meduza
I had the opposite issue where it would vibrate for all notifications which I didn't want. The solution was to edit the individual app notification settings (Settings -> Notifications ) to disable vibration. In your case, you'd be looking to enable vibration.
I hope this helps.
I was wondering the same thing... OP is referring to calls/notifications, but HAPTIC feedback (app touches, keyboard touches, navigation button presses...) are disabled and the settings that are usually there on other devices, including the Tab S4 and 5e, are gone. GBoard does let you select vibration on key presses, but if you set it to 'system default', it states DISABLED, so this IS disabled in the OS.

Cool, thanks! That helped in deed! Didn't know there is an option to turn on vibration in individual app notification settings. This brought back the vibration to my email app

That's exactly it! Only one option, the one for incoming calls. I asked in the samsung members app support, if this is really like this or if there is something wrong with my tab, I just couldn't believe it.
The answer was, my tab is o.k., there is this one option only I hope they will fix this with some update ... .
