The Backstory:
After some ROM Tesing for Evo 3D GSM (Leedroid, Warm) I'm not satisfied with battery life (I also tried different Kernel/ROM combinations). Doing Internet Research I found and got all hyped for ViperRom, tried to install it and discovered (as you might know) it only runs for cdma version.
Looking for GSM Version i only found this thread:
No viperRom for GSM
and discovered that development was cancelled in August 2011.
Coincidentally I found a little thread about Synergy Rom replacement, where I asked the viperRom developer team. The answer is already posted above.
I have been running the cdma rom since I rooted back in version 1. Very good rom, is the best out there

One of the hard parts for us would be that neither viper or myself have a gsm 3d, so we'll have to depend strongly on testers. I'll talk things over with him and see if the demand is high enough

I have had the 3vo for quite a few months now, and think that the time has come to finally root and flash some good stuff, but was wondering what would be the best rom to flash. I know that its better to try out a couple to see which one suits me best, but I would like to skip all the hassle of experimenting with many roms, and just go straight to the ones that others are using and are happy with. So what rom are you all using, and would you recommend that over the rest? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I should have mentioned this before, but its cdma.
I don't know if your gsm or cdma but from the gsm side of things I have tried most. Leedroid is always the one I come back too. It's stable has loads of support and great tweaks thanks to Jan and daniels and also some good theme options. The best imo.

If youre looking for a great "Senceless/ASOP" rom.... MIUI
a great full featured closer to stock looking Sence 3.0 rom.....Wildshooter or CleanRom
a great tweaked and themed rom.....Warm 2.3 is the only way to go
or a great Sence 3.5 rom....JoelZ's Prime XL 3G
of course, there are more choices but these IMO are the best hands down and of course others will have different opinions
Fresh 4.0.6 is a great daily rom. Very close to stock with some extras but runs without issues and fully functioning.

It's got a lot of awesome stuff built in like beats audio and sony bravia hd..
I like mine with a blue zeus theme instead of the default red but if you follow the instructions to flash it, everything will work.. don't skip out on the instructions tho because everyone who skips the wiping the cash and data parts because they think they are too smart ends up having troubles later.
Thanks a lot for your input. This sure narrows down the list. I will try them out and see which I like best. From what I have seen MIUI looks awesome, but the camera isn't functional, which is something that really comes in handy this time of the year.
I'm just wondering if it is something that would be worth our time to bring over. I believe I would be able to use a multi-device flash setup like Team Warm did with at least 1 of their ROMs. Not having the device makes me not want to really do it, but if there is enough demand for it, I would consider it - especially if I could use the same base and push the right files for the 2 different phones since I know the CDMA base is already very solid. Please let me know your honest thoughts.

More than we do, getting really ugly on the gsm threads , I think a pus*y riot is going to happen, every noob complain about bootloops with kernels now, predator 395 missing inaction, soon moderators will close more threads do to warez kernel

Hello XDA,
My name is swagstr and I am as some would call a developer and others would call a contributor. Either way, I have created two very successful ROMs, SOS+ (X/S/M) for the HTC EVO 4G and SOS M for the HTC EVO 3D.
I have a vision for a new project and I was hoping to get as many developers and contributors as possible to help with this project.
The project is titled: All Swagged Out Project. It is a play on the way most people misspell AOSP.
The goal is simple. Every time a new developer or contributor begins to dig his/her heels in and tries to learn how to modify Android, this person has to search and search and search. I was hoping that the people that develop and contribute for the EVO devices could take the lead and create a repository of sorts for modifications.
A wise man named tommytomatoe (developer of The Classic ROM for the HTC EVO 4G) once said: "Sharing is caring." I fully believe in this motto and hope that everyone in the EVO community feels the same way. I have opened up several threads over at the SOS Forums where people can post their original (or borrowed) mods and tweaks for the EVO 4G LTE, 3D, V, and 4G. I would not be opposed to having these posted at XDA, but I think I would be nice to the XDA moderators if I took the moderating of these threads on myself. My goal is to moderate these threads and add as much information as possible to provide the best ROMs for EVO users.
I think this could revolutionize knowledge sharing in the Android community and I hope EVO users can lead the way.

This means I am looking for someone who can devote HOURS to this project. Knows how to use 7-zip/WinRAR to mess with flashable .zips. Can decompile and re-compile an .apk. Knows how to use ADB. Knows how to root and install ROMs (in and out) for the HTC EVO 4G LTE. Also, this person needs to have an HTC EVO 4G LTE and needs to plan on keeping it for at least 6 months.
If you don't quite fit this category, I will be releasing a special SOS Soak Test over at my SOS Forums for those that want to test the ROM as it is being developed and before it is ready for prime time.

Pretty decent. I can push, pull, permissions, logs, shell, fastboot, adb, and I know the parititions, etc.
Make my own ROM for me based on stock and update it after every update. Don't really put tweaks/etc. in it that often, because 1.) stability and 2.) usability are the most important things for me.
Can do bootanimations, resizing of images using Photoshop CS6 or Fireworks.
Do most stuff on Windows 7 64, however, I have VMware Workstation 9 running Ubuntu 12.04 as well and do some things on there (i.e Gimp for .9 patch editing)

I have experience with aroma. I have an aio zip for the evo 3d that uses it. I think I also meet your other requirements. I may not have that much free time but I will most likely be available on weekends and part of the week.

Have you tried talking to viperboy or vinchenzop? They use aroma in their viper4g Rom.

Questions like these are not allowed In The evo 3d thread. I recommend you try out ROMs for yourself that's the only way you will know which is the best & most soothing for you.

Use Mwakious3Drom. Its best rom for evo 3d so far. Updates regularly. Very smooth and Zero bug.

We have 85 roms listed on GSM. Are you suggesting him to try them all for 2-3 days to see what "is the best & most soothing for him"?
I vote for cool ics v15.
I am trying now MIUI 3.2.22. Looks pretty stable too.
I dont like Mwakious3Drom because of Mwakious attitude mostlty. He thinks too high of himshelf and acts like he coded the rom from 0 but that my opinion and you know what they say about opinions.
Yodas(ryrzy) Sensless is stable too but I found the phone.apk (or contact.apk) shut down every 30 minutes too much disturbing
It doesn't matter what you think about the developer because all ROMs are free and you use ROMs not developers. He can flash ROMs by recomendation but everyone has different opinions (as you stated) and the best thing is for him to try as many of ROMs as possible to find that one that suits him the best

It would be best if he tries it himself, just because you can't go on peoples word alone. I take comments into account when downloading ROMs, what have people said about this ROM . you kind of have to to cope with being a flash o holic.
Check ROMs that are recently updated , ones that have a high comment count and recognition if you're pressed for time . these are ROMs that have been updated and worked on a lot vs getting a base and adding mods.

I recommend negalite blurom for virgin mobile/sprint cdma..... Dev works very hard on the Rom... It's 3.6 based so everything works... He updates very often adding new features and fixing small bugs, If u have requests for new features he has his own forum for request and much more.... All on all a very good Rom.... Recommend checking out... It's my permarom

after one week with miui 3.2.22 ice built I am pretty sure it's the best Rom. everything works and its miui. battery is the best I tried so far at any room. theming capabilities, very fast.
if you try I recommend Swype keyboard, performance governor and 384 minimum core speed linked.
