navigation with blutooth gps and bt-headset at same time?

hello, i use an new os xda mini s. i will use it with bluetooth-gps and tom tom navigator 5 in my car. can i also use an bt-headset at the same time to place a phonecall?
greets,
mikka
Sure, I do this all the time with my K-Jam, the external speaker will stop during a phone call. If you use BT toggle to direct gps voice prompts thorough your bt headset the call will still ring through and put the audio from the gps on hold until the call ends. I've hooked up an fm transmitter to the headphone jack and played gps voice prompts through the car stereo and they continue even if a call comes through the bt headset. Hope this answers your question.

Bluetooth and caller ID

Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a bluetooth headset (like Jabra BT3030) and I'd like to know if there is the possibility to handle caller id (es. a voice that tells you in the headset the caller ID) with all the headset that don't have a display. This because having a wireless bt headset and still having to get the phone from the bag is a big issue if you bought it because it's wireless...
thanks
My I-tech Clip Radio and car stereo both work over bluetooth and display the caller id so I don't see why any other decent bluetooth headset shouldn't be able to display the caller id.
The only thing I've not been able to display is id3 tags over bluetooth.
My doubt was about headset without display
I don't know, but MS voice commander might do this over BT. It will certainly announce callers names if they are in your contacts so it might announce the number.
I've never tried it over BT, have a look - maybe it will do what you need.
MSVC when working properly does announce who is calling, also reads your sms's and announces appointments, emails via bluetooth.

Navigation and bluetooth

So I have a shiny new Legend, and am very happy with it. I quite frequently use my phone handsfree in the car, and have a Parrot MKI9100 car kit installed. This seems to work well.
I also use my handset as a Satnav. My last phone was a Nokia E71, and when navigating whilst connected to the Parrot kit voice commands muted the stereo, presumably by the HFP/HSP protocol. I have installed both google navigation and Navigon on the Legend, and have hit a problem. The voice commands from the software seem to be sent over the Bluetooth Streaming (A2DP) protocol and so do not cause the Parrot to mute the stereo, unlike the commands sent over the handsfree protocol from the E71.
Is there any way to force the voice commands over the handsfree protocol, or do I have to resign myself to satnav via the Legends (rather quiet) speaker?
Thanks!

[Q] Does Google voice support A2DP headset?

Greeting:
I have an A2DP Jabra Bluetooth headset and SGS2 (Tmobile). I try to speak use google map voice command but it doesn't seem to work. It seems to work with Samsung VoiceTalk but not Voice search. Is there a way to use Google voice command via A2DP Bluetooth headset.
Your time and help is greatly appreciated.
It doesn't support it (stupidly).
See if you can select Vlingo (presumably what the Samsung VoiceTalk actually is) under Settings -> Voice Input & Output -> Voice recognizer.
You can then use Google Voice but it'll use Vlingo to do the audio gathering/processing. I think I got it working this way.
I try your instruction. However, when I hold the talk/call button on the headset; I got the voice prompt from Vlingo the 1st time but sub-sequently I have to look at the phone and hit the Taps To Speak. What is brand and model of your headset if you don't mind I am asking? Mine is Jabra BT530.

[Q] How to start voice control app from Bluetooth headset?

Hello,
How to setup 'launch defaults option' for voice control software? After successful pairing I can use my Bluetooth headset during calls but I can't start voice control app from my headset shortcut. Is a option or additional app?
Thank you,
