On the G1 you could hold down the call+Menu+hangup and it would reboot.

Hey thanks. It was kinda like 8 seconds for me, but whos counting.
I have not found one.. Although if you search the Market there is a "quickboot" app, you can make a shortcut on your homescreen and with a click of the icon it reboots.
This is the best alternate to it...
I hold down the volume buttons [up and down] while the phone is off. Boot up and wait for it.
^ he is talking about rebooting, not recovery.
Thanks for the tip kizer/gad13.. I added it to the sticky.
Yeah thanks for adding it to the sticky. I was going to follow up with another PM to you to make sure if there is a mention to who discovered it, it would go to Gad13 since well he told me. LOL
updated it, thanks guys.

Agree. This is what I do as well. Except I don't have a shortcut because I might accidentally click it.

Simply, edit /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl and change key 107 to POWER instead of ENDCALL.

There s only one app that wrks on our sg3.. But u can find that in market bcs the developer thinks that app dsnt spprt sg3's configuration.. Name is "screen capture shortcut free" .. Find the apk by urself , coz I dnt hav that..
Why do you need one when "Screen Capture" feature is in-built in our phone ? IMO it takes a good enough shot
P.S. - Back Soft Key + Home button is the combination, if ya didnt know...
didnt know that one, many thanx!

No prob mate, each of us keeps learning from this wonderful community and its exceptional developers
bit fiddly, exits or goes to task manager...
You are doing it in reverse - Hold on to the back key first and then press the Home / Menu button, you will hear the capture sound and you are done! Dont let go of the Back key !!
i'll make that a double thanks then!

Search your menu app, the app called Screen Grabber.

[Q] How to take screenshots after ICS update?

Before the ICS update, I thought taking a screenshot was as simple as holding the recent apps icon. It does not seem to work after the update. Does anyone know how to do this in ICS without third party software or root?
I just tried and it still works for me. Just for giggles, you didn't happen to turn off screenshot mode did you? Before I understood what that pop-up was I had hit YES and couldn't snap anymore screens.

Ah, the setting is under Settings > Asus Customized setting. I do not remember having to enable this before but after the update and factory reset, it was not checked. Thanks.
