Recently my Galaxy S2 with CM9 became slow, the Lock screen response time is really slow..
In cm7 it was never like that
Any thing I can do to change it?

Reflash. Make sure you wipe everything on the reinstall, and remember ICS (including CM9) is still in beta for our device, which means that there will be bugs.

Oh, well, in that case...try my advice in the above post.

check in settings under apps for any thing thats taking too much resources

The latest 02202012 build uses Samsungs newest Kernel which still seems to have issues. Its slow for me too but not unusable. Some people in the CM9 discussion thread suggest going back to the 01292012 build as it was smoother.

Any help please ?
Which rom are you using!

Official ICS 4.0.3 for SGSII
IML74K.XXLPQ
Yup that build is not a stable release eve from Samsung. They did not even care to make it lag free. I dont think there is anything you can do about this. The release is messed up. Try using some other custom roms!

did you wipe cash after installation ?
I only found contact lag with mine
I can recommend hydrogen-ics.
Have tested many kernels on this rom and they are all very smooth.

If you really want a stable rom then id say downgrade to gb and go for Checkrom. Click on the picture in my sig!

Not just stability. Having used ics for about a week now. Id love it if the rom had some ics icing on it
Think cm9 and ressurrection remix. Just cant decide between the two

[Q] CM10.1 on the GS2, any problems?

Well it appears that there are only nightly builds for the i9100, but I can't see any known problems.
This is my mum's phone, and she has been telling me it's really slow so I thought going from 4.0 stock to CM10.1 4.2 would really help that, with project butter and stuff.
She uses wi-fi tethering alot, and I've seen on alot of custom roms that that doesn't work, but as I said, I didn't see any known problems for the CM10.1 nightly build. I don't want to flash her phone with something that'll make her lose functionality.
Thanks guys

Install the samsung JB leak..I would not recommend CM since it is still under development. But there are no big issues i myself use it. But since its your mom's phone its better to keep it stock.
Also there isn't Project Butter in CM.
But did you flash with a full wipe? Quite strange your mom does notice it's very slow, because there are a lot of people (understatement) who are really satisfied with the performances of CM10.1.

I've read it wrong. But with 4.0.4 I've never noticed anything slow or what so ever

Not your phone, not running stock & an 'average' user using it day to day sounds like asking for problems to me. And potentially a lot of you playing 'tech support'.
If it were me, I'd be leaving it stock.
Do a factory reset & a clean install of apps/etc if it's a bit sluggish (remember, you don't have first hand knowledge of this, just what she's told you & also remember she is an 'average' user, so it may be running just fine most of the time).
Why not Chameleon Rom?
I suggest to use this rom because it has the CM layout but its samsung base so no bugs

Will be rooting soon, what ROM should I put on my Droid X2?

I haven't rooted my droid X2 yet but I will soon. I was looking at the ROMs and noticed that CM10 has some issues still. What is the recommended ROM to flash that is full featured with nothing missing?

nothing missing ? eclipse. some things missing, but better than cm10 as far as battery life, apps working, and features? cm9 for sure. more reboots, but better performance. just my 2 cents.
i used cm10 for a long time, but got really tired of calls cutting out because of the screen proximity sensor. i switched to cm9 a few months ago and have been on it ever since. it all depends on what you use your phone for really.

just remember there are issues with cm9 it just has a bit more stability then cm 10. if you want everything to work without too much trouble then your gonna want to use eclipse.

if you take a lot of photos, or especially video, or use the web a lot, or mainly on your phone than your computer, if you need your phone to have all web functionality at ALL times, cm9 might not be for you. i was just suggesting the most up to date but usable rom that we have. ECLIPSE is a great rom, but it is gingerbread, kind of outdated as far as features go. but everything on eclipse works. everything.
just depends on what you use your phone for. if you just rooted, and are still on 2.3.4, try cm9 for a day or two. more than likely, youa re on 2.3.5, in which case you may as well just try eclipse first. good luck! let us know how it goes/ any questions you have .

[Q] How to restore to HC?

Hi all!
Could you be so kind and help me revert back to honeycomb stock?
I know it sounds crazy, but I cant stand anymore how slow and laggy CM 10.1 I currently use is on this device. I've tried a lot of things like factory reset, reflushing lates nightly etc. Still horribly slow and at times totally unresponsive.
My ultimate goal is return back to task650 rom.
However I cannot find any HC stock images. I do not think that I can simply flush HC rom in CM 6.0.3.1 recovery.
I was only able to find hc-3.2_touchwiz_ux-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip from pershoot.
Please advise! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Not sure where to find an HC-image yet, but what about trying Omni-ROM 4.4.2 KitKat newest build (+ A1-Kernel)?
It still has got some quirks, like bluetooth-audio not working or slow Video-decoding, but the rest is quite good and fluid now.
Thanks for your reply! However we are talking about my wife tablet and she needs video/cameras and BT.
So, unfortunately KK is out consideration at this point.
By the way, is KK Omni really that better? Thought I guess anything is better then touching screen and seeing touch and then waiting a couple of seconds for an action to really happen. I do not know what Google changed in memory management, but it now doesn't hold a candle against older versions. At least for such old device as Tab 10.1 is.
If your wife doesn't need much features, go for Omni 4.3. Its very smooth and stable enough for daily use.

Camera works; Bluetooth works also, just not streaming audio to a bluetooth-audio-device; Videos also work. Lokally stored seem to be better than streamed (YouTube, gameone, etc.)

Then... What about JellyBean3 (Android 4.3.1)?
I think most if not all you need is already compatible on that and it is a lot better in any case, thought.

Even 4.1.2 cm10 was superior,... What do you think you can expect from a Kitkat-Build?
IMHO, yes it is, even with those little quirks...
...and not to be mean, but I really don't think any 4.2-build can be called stable... They all have heavy idle-times/"hangs" up to a minute, if you've got some CPU&IO-Load-Hungry apps installed and running...

Well... May be it is my bad luck... I do not remember any CM build of any version that was smooth as Task650 rom.
So, you suggest to try rollback to 4.1? I though they stopped development.
Wife use BT streaming... I just got her nice LG headphones.
I guess I softened the problem a little bit for now by removing all apps that create background services and account. FB, LinkIn etc.
It helped a little bit.

Nope. I think you should rather try a 4.3.x-based build.

Help: Extreme lag and screen stuttering issues with CyanogenMod 11 on HTC One X+

I just bought a brand new HTC One X+ a few days ago for a really good price on eBay. Immediately after receiving it, I unlocked the bootloader, rooted, flashed CWM and installed the latest CyanogenMod 11 snapshot. To my surprise, the device lags and sometimes freezes for minutes in completely simple tasks like pulling down notifications or typing on the keyboard. I've tried a lot of stuff, but nothing has worked so far.
I'm convinced this can't be a problem with the phone, the specs are too good for it to lag in such simple things. I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy S III with a CM11 nightly and that didn't have any lag even though the specs were technically lower. Also, another problem I'm experiencing is that the screen "blinks", as in it has a sort of stutter effect which is really annoying. I don't know whether this has to do with CM or with the phone itself, but the blinking problem doesn't happen in recovery or fastboot mode.
Is there anyone who can help me figure out why this is happening? Thanks.
Is there anyone who can help me? I need my phone to be functional as soon as possible, thanks

Flash Nik3r's kernel. You will find it in the android development section.
Also running a huge amount of apps will screw with the device, and a reboot now and again doesn't hurt

Thanks so much for the suggestion, I will try it out. Also, really nice job with that Pure AOSP 4.3 ROM. I've been trying it and it's really smooth and fast.

Use EliteKernel, it will be much more faster. For me the stock CM kernel is troublesome, phone lags, battery drains, and heat up the phone quite much.
