what does Cotulla means when he says :
You need FullUnlock to use this application.
Application will NOT work with Developer or Iterop unlocks.

The only unlock available to all Windows Phone devices, is a Developer Unlock (either by using ChevronLabs or with an official Microsoft AppHub Developer account).
Nokia and various 2nd generation Windows Phone devices do not have the ability to be Interop Unlocked or Full Unlocked (yet).
can't find a topic for 2nd generation unlocking project is there any?
Not at the moment. We are all waiting for an unlock
i need the topic of the unlocking project to know the progress of it

Recently i figured out my nokia wasnt shipped with the qualcomm unlocked bootloader, so i went through the process of registering for AppHub with a student licence and dev unlocked my nokia, hoping i could install an accentChanger XAP, but since you arent allowed to send interop XAPs with the deployer, and there are ways to do so with an interop WP7, is it possible to get access to interop from developer?
No, this is not possible on the Lumia Phones.
my hw Revision is 2.3 and i have never updated with nokia care suite, does this affect anything?

Either you have Qualcomm or not. As you stated above you don't have a Qualcomm device so you cannot flash a custom ROM.
since it is not possible, and i dont see it being possible in the near future, is there any way to push the Accent Changer XAP to my Developer unlocked phone?
Accent Changer needs to access the registry which is only possible with an interop unlock.
Wondering the same

Dev unlock is available for DLOAD bootloaders its been available for quite a long time.but still its not worth it since the maximum number of apps u can install is 10. And also there are not many useful apps available for developer unlocked phones. ur best bet is to wait for a hack for the DLOAD bootloader.its only a matter of time till someone hacks it. cheers XD
Hello guys,
I am new to the whole bootloading and unlocking phones thing and I have a problem. I have a Nokia Lumia 800 with a prepaid lock, now my question; could someone make me a tutorial on how to unlock the phone with some steps and links to the tools I need? Maybe this question has been asked and answered already, send me a link of that thread then, but I have searched the forums for about 3 hours now and im getting a bit hopeless now.
Regards,
Zoipe

There are several internet services that can provide me with a code similair to the one the carrier will give me, but I do not know which one I can trust and which one not. Do you have any idea where I could get a unlock code cheap and safe?
Huawei has apparently closed the the possibility to unlock the bootloader for the future.
Does this mean, there is no other way to unlock the bootloader with their devices and instal custom ROMs?
You can still get unlock codes. I have got mine for Mate 10 just today in the event I decide I want to unlock after 22nd July.
Thanks for this hint, halfcoast!
But i - and a lot other users - do not have a huawei phone yet and only think about buying one in the future depending on if it's unlockable or not.
Does the "huawei service" stop on the 22nd July and no unlock codes and no other unlock method, no customROMs for the mate 10 and their other phones afterwards?

My understanding is that after the 22nd, they won't be providing any codes to unlock anymore.
U can't unlock bootloader after 22.07.2018 = the death for custom roms
I will sell my Mate 10 Pro and never buy again a Huawei device. So easy...
Because Huawei shut down the unlocking service, will there be another way to unlock the bootloader?
I have been looking to buy a new phone but I need it to be able to support lineage. Sadly, Nokia 8 seems long off bootloader unlocking.

Do note that although there are ways to get your bootloader unlocked unofficialy, custom ROMs are still a long way from stable. There are no active developments for the P20 lite itself and the Treble ROMs do not support notch yet and are not stable enough to be daily drivers.
