Any way to enter screenshot editing without the S-PEN tap-hold? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

i would like to edit screenshots without using the S-PEN but the only way i know to get to that fullscreen editor is to use the S-PEN and tap-hold
i would rather edit using my finger
i can take screenshots with home+power but it saves as image and if i send that image to S-note it does not edit like a fullscreen screenshot
anyone know how to get to that fullscreenshot editor without using the S-Pen?

Edit never mind you wanted the edited program...Slide palm of hand from left side to right side of screen it will take a screen shot

[Q] Can you copy and paste images over others?

Example: Edit a pic with the s-pen, use the lasso to select a certain part of a image, copy that, and paste it on another image?
Is there a way to do this? Was sending my bro a pic of a ridiculous sandwich and was trying to copy a pic of the ingredients onto the picture of the sandwich itself.
The included smemo app can do a bit of this.
I didn't see ability to crop but you can quickly overlay two pics. It lets you move them around and resize when you first add them but I don't think you can move them once they're anchored.
Edit-picsay pro lets you do a bit more with resizing and cropping and giving option to erase bits but I still think once its anchored it's done.
The stock gallery has photo editor built in but it seems to suck for anything other than editing a single photo.

Picsay pro quick edit...
There are other apps like LayerDraw I think you'll just have to experiment or buy one.

Nvm, refunded the app and used smemo. Originally I tried doing it by holding the button on the pen then clicking the image to take a screenshot of it and edit it there

[Q] Hot to send Picture text? (help please)

so if anyone watches vampire diaries,, klaus sends a picture text on his Gnote,
I CAN NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THAT
help is appreciated..
please and Thank you!!!!!
the episode was Season 3 episode 18 i think.. half way through..
he basically writes and clicks sends,, and the image got sent,, not a typed message.
so if he a word his handwriting would've shown as a picture rather then the typed word,
i have the note, and i would really love to be able to do that
There is a round about way.
In smemo write your message, then hit menu button, then share with and messaging.

if you want to use a pre-existing pic, just press the attach button (its a paper clip on the left side of the text input window), and choose from the options below
....or you can use the note to take a screen capture by holding the pen button and long pressing the screen, then draw/write on it and share via GO SMS Pro
.
ok i get that, but is there a way to free write and send it quickly? without going through allot of buttons,, is there a quick and easy way,, say i wanna just text with mms?
It depends on the phone. If they are a GO SMS user, they receive it directly, otherwise it goes as a link.
I guarantee that Klaus was using GO SMS on his Note. I saw the episode.

Photo and Video Editor

Hello. Got my VZW Galaxy Note 2 on launch day. Really really liking it a lot.
Of course I went through and did the usual "disabling" of apps.
After doing that, I have since realized that the Gallery doesn't have a Photo Editor, not does it have a Video Editor. I was told these needed to be downloaded.
I thought I remembered disabling the Samsung App Store, but for the life of me I can't find it on my device.
I guess I'm looking for the actual name of the app, because maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing?? Or if someone has a link to download the Galaxy Note 2 Photo and Video Editors, that would be great too.
Thanks a lot.

Usually whe u disabled an app they end up at the very bottom of the app list under setting> app manager

I think I found it. "S Suggest" looks like where the apps are.
And you're right. Usually at the bottom. That's what had me so tripped up. Haha.
Anyways, still can't find the Photo Editor, nor the Movie Editor apps for the Note 2.
Anybody have any ideas/suggestions?

I had the same problem and havnt been able to solve the video one but the photo one I did. Just install the photo editor apk as a sideload app or you can just hold the button on the spen and longpress the screen. It will take a screenshot and let you draw on it.

OK - so I like the "editor" that comes up when you take a screenshot with the S-pen (hold button and long press the screen). How can I use that editor when I am in the gallery and use the "Advanced edit" menu item?
I installed the apk linked to earlier, and now the advanced edit menu gives me a choice of the linked apk and the Paper Artist app. Is the one that happens with the screenshot function an integrated part of the screenshot application??

Its a feature (that mind you doesn't cross platforms) that allows you to simulate writing on the back of your pictures to remember what they were or where they were taken, etc.

So you actually need the photo editor to be able to draw on a pic to like add a wig to someone or a missing tooth etc.. you cant just draw on a pic without the editor?
How do I disable apps?

My experience is this. If I go into the gallery and open up a picture, I can then hit the menu button and I'm greeted with many options. If I choose However, "Draw on Image" only flips over the picture and lets me draw on the back, not what I want to do. If I scroll down and click on "Advanced Edit", I get the option of choosing either "Photo Editor" , or "Paper Artist". If I choose "Photo Editor", I get the popup message that says, " Photo Editor is not installed on the device. Download Photo Editor?" If I choose "Download", nothing happens. I've tried numerous times and the phone does not link me to the play store or any other app store to download Photo Editor. While I know I am able to sideload the apk, most new customers using the phone for the first time are going to be awfully frustrated when they want to do the one thing Samsung is pushing in their Lebron and family commercial here in the U.S. Not good.

On screen Nav buttons

Now that we have root, does anyone know how to install the MOD we had for the SG3 where it would add on screen soft keys and make the home button ONLY wake up the phone. It would also disable the capacitive buttons....I miss this so much...absolutely hate the Samsung home button.
Thanks ahead of time!!
On-screen nav is literally one or two line changes. There's guides all over this site. Why dont you search and maybe figure it out yourself.

I would be afraid to follow a guide that wasn't listed specifically for this phone. Your response is kind of uncalled for.

seriously. please do us all a favor and get a different phone so we don't have to deal with you.
anyway. i wasn't really happy with the way this looked or worked so I went back. But if tweaked it could look / function better. It changed it so that if you hold the home button on screen and physical you get S-Voice. The on screen nav was really big also and the page indicators were covered by icons. It just looked and felt sloppy and there was no way to customize anything obviously.

Only thing I don't like is this kind of messes with the dialer DPI, and now the top of recent calls and favorites is being cut off by a big block of blue.
Edit: On Bean's new ROM, the top names are still covered, but the "blue" block is now transparent stuff just a blue border, so the names are now visible, but you can only touch the part of the name that sticks out from the bottom of the block. This is definitely more manageable though.

Question regarding wallpaper for my note 2.

I have seen screenshots where it appears that people are using multiple wallpapers on one screen. For example a wallpaper on the top half and a different wallpaper on the bottom half of the screen. Is there an app where I can accomplish this?

I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Can you provide a link for a picture of this?
You could always put together multiple images in Gimp or PS to make a collage and then just send it to your phone.
