I believe you are correct good sir. That area is where the magnet for closing the device is located.

The problem for me (and apparently a lot of others - just google "sense 3.0 carousel") is that it spins when I don't want it too.
I just want to flip to the next screen, and then it goes.
I never asked for it, I don't wont it, and, in fact, it's slowing me down.
It was a bad idea.
It will spin if you drag your finger quickly starting at one end or the other of the phone ( so left to right or vice versa). If you don't want it to.spin just fling your finger starting closer to the middle , make sense?

That could be a good thing as far as aosp goes though. May not mean anything but I remember reading a post from someone in a aosp thread who said he could hear noise while scrolling through his home screens and wearing head phones. And someone else made the comment that maybe there was sound but it was just so low you couldn't hear it. That while working on sound for another phone they plugged it into an amp and they actually had sound. Don't really know where I'm going with this but just kinda thinking out loud.

I still have it on the screen lock though.
I've always had the mental habit of using the home screen one. 1 Friday ago I claimed I would no longer be a slave to it's capacitive might.

That first comment is not a troll comment by anyway, it was the users first response (and mine) and was in no way Offensive to the OP. You are the first comment with negativity in this thread as you just name called.
Anyway, i am not sure of you fellows but this information popped up the first time my phone turned on.

Yeap, mans got a point. Alot of us are so quick to check the "do not show again" box because it keeps popping up that we dont bother to realize that it has good info. I myself am guilty (very very guilty) of this. OP was just trying to be helpful and responders were polite about informing him of where this info can be found at.
I never use the S-Pen unless im taing screen shots or playing draw something. so these shortcuts are cool, but will probably be forgotton (again) by the time im in the position to use them. Once (or if) the pen gains more functionality then I will be more inclined to take advantage of this.

Thanks, Stulzerl!
The spirit of xda-dev is all about sharing information. We all benefit from the knowledge that the other users have. This website simply couldn't exist if users like stulzerl didn't share the tips, tricks and general knowledge of their devices.
Please do not disparage these attempts by adding negative comments and votes. In the words of Thumper, "If you don't got nothin' good to say, then don't say nothin' at all!".
I going to ask for something here. This thread currently has several negative votes. I have added 5 stars and it has only gone to 2. If you love xda and the sharing that is done here, I want you to click up there and get this thread as high as possible.
I'm sure the devs are going to lock this thread soon, since it turned negative early, but in the meantime the community has a chance to turn this around and show our love to stulzerl for having the courage and kindness to share his knowledge with the rest of us.
Added my +5 because I am sick of all the dicks on here. For a site with a bunch of great info the attitude sure sucks.
