My setup with cases - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I have been looking for suitable cases for ages and have finally settled on 2 that work for me. One is a tuff-luv universal 10 inch netbook folio case which I use with the dock when I'm at work. It fits perfectly and has elastic straps which hold the dock in place. Bought direct via ebay.
The other is a Great Shield which I use for tablet only when I'm at home. It fits great although a little stiff for getting the tablet in and out. the speaker still sounds nice and loud. The only thing I don't like about it is the lip which is meant to be the catch for holding it shut. It's a bit of tight fit, but may loosen up in time. Bought from amazon uk.

I have the same style case for the second one, and I agree with you, that lip that closes it is damn tough!

The lip on my case was so tight it wouldn't close at all. But I found out it softens up if you heat up it and then you can pull it back a bit for a better fit. I heated it up by repeatedly holding it over an electric stove for a few moments and then using a round pencil to pull it back evenly while keeping it nice and round. Give it a try, just make sure you don't burn your house in the process

New case spotted (chinese :P)

This one looks ok:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Foldable-Stand-...Accessories&hash=item4aaaed0f5b#ht_6111wt_937
What do you think? I might order it
Looks terrible. The display tablet isn't even a Transformer.
wow, looks the one I've been waiting for, leather and functional, usable while still in the case, not expensive too.
I wonder how tightly it holds the tablet...don't think I'd trust this thing if its the kind of elastic I'm thinking it is.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
those of us that came from the gtab went through these corner elastic cases. the elastic loosens withing a few weeks and you are left with a loose fitting tablet. Many times the elastic covers or presses buttons in the locations it is covering.
most people cut the elastic off and velcroed their tablets into the cases.
Horrable. Do not buy that junk
What about this one that uses clips? Do you think the clips will hold the transformer securely? and would it scratch it?
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220782110011
i got the one with the elastic bands as it seemed a safer bet than the clip version. Its a great fit and really snug with the TF in it thumbs up!
P.S: i took a risk and ordered it when it was still named as for the Gtablet. The dimensions were compatible though. And so it is. Phew
Made a mini review : http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=55917642&postcount=42
I got one of these too. Perfect fit and looks good. Well happy ..........
I give it an 8/10.....

Got it from a u.k ebay seller....came next day....only cost £6.30......bargain !!

How can you denounce something that you haven't even seen ?
I have got one of these and I am telling you they are good quality. Whether it lasts a long time or not...we will see. But, to be honest, for £7 all in....., I don't mind if it lasts a couple of years.....

I got one of these, it's ok not great, for £7 delivered it's about right.
The back of the case(not the TF case!) warps slightly due to the pressure from the 4 corner holders.
The top left corner strap sometimes pushes the volume up button as it covers it, you can still use the volume up button though. I have slipped off the top left corner one due to this and it still seems to hold ok.
No way of using the stand in low profile mode (shallow angle so the tablet is near flat to desk)

I found a cap with a pocket clip for the stylus

Since I got it, I have been afraid of loosing the $80 stylus. So instead of learning how to use it, I've just been leaving it at home. I finally found a reasonably secure way to take it with me.
The cap from a PaperMate Flair pen is a perfectly snug fit on either end of the stylus that does not cover or intefere with the buttons. The only fault i can find is if I am not careful, twisting it off can loosen the threads on the battery cover.
I had to pay 6 bucks (at Staples) for a 4 pack of pens that I will never use just to get one cap. But it was $6 well spent.
I actually found the Expo Vis-a-Vis wet erase cap to work pretty well, also. Doesn't look so bad...doesn't look "good" either, though.
Pics please?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Sorry, didn't see your request until just now.
With the pics I see what you mean now, not a bad idea. That would clip onto just about any case. Think I'll give this a shot.
This actually is a big issue and a flaw. Anyone else got any creative ideas.
I just took a few pictures of the EVO View's pen with the Flair pen cap.
They are sitting on a M-Edge pouch for a Nook Color. I picked-up a $6 tool pouch from Home Depot. A shoe repair shop sewed it's belt clip on the M-Edge pouch. Note the pen fits nicely in the zippered pocket that hides the pouch's carrying strap.

yes very secure ... don't worry as i said i need to enlarge it slightly so that i can force it into position.
I pulled the clip off a 99 cent air pressure gauge. Slips on tight and it was dirt cheap.

My solution came from a free Gas Co pen that never worked but never got trashed. had to destroy the pen and file the inside of the ring so as to not damage the battery cap threads.

I really like the case, its about the same thickness of my platinum series or "seido" case. It's very lightweight with the phone in the case. I like the design a lot and it fits nice in my hand. It doesn't really feel like rubber but more like plastic, although it IS in fact rubber. The leather and stitching is on point, it gives it a nice look and feel. The side treads? Gives the user a good grip. Ive seen a lot of reviews saying it is hard to put the case on, but for me it wasn't even close to.being difficult. For $5 its a steal. High quality case seems like it'll be able to go through many drops without any problems. One more thing it hugs the phone very snug so you can rest assure that the phone won't pop out and it will stay protected. Here's pictures:
The buttons on the sides arent bad btw. The case does not affect my screen protector (rise along the edges or corner). Heres the inside of the case:

Thanks for the review and pictures. I was on the fence about getting yet another case (I have 3-4 ebay specials I swap in & out), but the pictures really make this look sharp.
Just ordered, $5 for a $18 case is a steal.

There WILL be a Urban Armor Gear case!

Just got an email back from them stating they are in fact making a case for the nexus 6! Yay!
I always thought those looked really cool. I'm afraid they might be kinda bulky on a phone this big, though.

I always wanted one of these cases for my devices, but they never seemed to support anything past Galaxy/iPhone devices. Now I know what case I will be getting for sure!
No dust covers and silly Transformers reliefs on the back that will interfere with an Aidock (and even with putting a magnetic sticker there for the airdock to adhere).
Nope : I'll pass.

The airdock is a wireless charging dock (essentially, for cars) : you lay your phone on a micro suction foam (below which is the QI coil), and it adheres to it. If your phone case is a bit rugous, the foam will not work as well, but you can just use a smooth magnetic adhesive (supplied with the dock) which'll work fine....
... provided you can lay it flat on the rear face of your case. And with such shapes on Urban Armor Gears cases, it will be a problem...

Yeah, but we don't know yet wether there'll be enough metal in the right place inside the Nexus 6, so to do without a magnetic sticker ; and said sticker won't do with the back of such a case as the Urban Armor Gear one.
The Airdock also has a suction foam which makes magnets redundant (or at least, adhere better, which is always good in the car), but it requires glossy and (rather) flat plastic at the back of the case, which is another problem with this one...
Well... we'll see what comes out as accessories. I now hope Otterbox indeed really is considering a case, as neither Trident nor Ballistic seem interested, and as Spigen won't do a case with dust covers. So a Commuter is among my last hopes, so I can buy the Nexus 6... If I can't have a somewhat rugged case (without going to the last extremities), I'll have to pass on this phone, even though I'd really like to get it.
Was always interested in UAG cases. Will probably cop one for times when I'm doing an activity that may require a heavier duty case for extra safety measures.

Thanks for linking it. I never had a UAG case before so I couldn't tell you. 40 bucks is quite steep for what amounts to a piece of plastic in my opinion. I'm thinking more of a flipcase or something with a kickstand since the phone is so large. The fact that the volume and power buttons are on the same side would suggest that they intend for it to be more of a media consumption device as well.

My Seidio CONVERT Case for the Nexus 4 was $50 when it was released and to this day I never had any damage happen to my phone (hell even the glass back has not been damaged at all if you can believe it!).
Fact is that when you are paying up a premium, you are paying for top notch protection. My Nexus 4 never was graced with the attention of Otterbox or UAG (hell I wish it was) but considering the attention and love the Nexus 6 is getting from Case Manufactures it is good luck for all of us on the options out there for us now!
I personally cannot wait for this case. I just hope they get it out there soon!
I'd like to see one in that olive green color they make.

My problem with the UAG for my S4 was that the high lip on the front, even with a tempered glass screen protector, interfered with swiping from the side gesture for opening the navigation drawer. The N6 is supposed to have a nice edge on the side, and I am afraid of ruining it.
For those of you wanting other colors: I just e-mailed their support and asked if they had any plans for different styles/colors. The response was a negative
Shame really, the Scout style looks really nice.

It's not so bad. Case is much more enjoyable without the corner jabbing you in the palm. People still comment about phone/case looks, don't even notice it.
I just wish they didn't make the inside lanyard corner deeper than the opposite side. Otherwise it would be nearly identical. I picked up another MAX today for $10 and an extra FUSION for $6.
