Westcrip's Resurrection ROMS are pretty good...

my fav. is OMEGA

To me, Illusion roms are best, both GB and ICS. Speed and stability both are awesome.

OMEGA rom is the best

WanamLite
My favourite ROM is WanamLite !!
I find it to be the most stable and working according to my needs

+1
Wanamlite's ROM is the best BY FAR compared to the other ICS ROM's based on Sammy's leaks. And believe me I've sampled them all!

Agree 100%. Wanamlite is the best.

Depends if you're after Vanilla or TouchWiz ICS. Haven't had any luck with any TW ICS roms, but for me AOKP is the best vanilla rom.

Aokp is the best vanilla ics rom.

This is a development forum. Polls about the best ROM aren't development.

I have had horrible data + wifi speeds since I left AOKP...

I recently left AOKP for Ressurection because I wanted to test out JB (it's awesome). So basically, now I have Siyah kernel 4.01 (will be upgrading it) with a dual boot of Ressurection Remix 3.0.3 and Abbereation 1.2. Please help, the speed averages only 30 Kbps. I am using the same modem as before LE5, and I am in LA so just in case you recommend another modem if you're in a near area.

Just try a different modem. Make sure you get the one corresponding to the ROM type. (Sammy ROM get Sammy modem, aosp ROM getaosp modem)

Have you checked your APN's?
Also... modem has nothing to do with wifi.
Wifi speeds are not as slow, but a lot slower then they were and yes my apns are set correctly.

[Tutorial] Make your Amaze as AOSP as Possible

Want to have the AOSP experience without compromise? Then this is for you! Please do not take this the wrong way, sportstar and company have done the impossible in this forum, but unfortunately, we have limited functionality with some things like data for example. Anyway, this is to my personal taste and I just wanted to share
1. Speed Rom 7
In my opinion and experience, the best performing senseless Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623184
2. Craigtut's AOSP Status Bar
Original, pure Google.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623184
3. Jellybean Transition Animations
Jellybeans animtions are plain awesome.
(link here)
4. Awesome Beats mod
The cherry on top it's awesome and for some reason, works with Speed Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728391
5. Nova Launcher
Provides lots of jellybean features for ics.
(link here)
Finally, what I do, get a cm9 rom, extract it's phone app, and replace Speed Rom's one in order to get The Aosp call screen, but be sure you flash the Aosp status bar first, or you will get continuous force closes, also make sure to fix permissions for the new phone app!

jelly bean transitions?
I am trying to create AOSP on NRG rom, how can I obtain Jelly bean transition effect?
Any reason why 1. Speed Rom 7 and Craigtut's AOSP Status Bar point to the same thread?

Are there any good AOSP/AOKP roms that have a good camera?

I've used both CM10 and CM10.1 and the camera is awful. Takes forever to switch. Also the rear camera has problems focusing.
The stock rom works so much better, but I don't like much else of the stock rom.
you can use custom sammy - based ROMs
Maybe UltimaROM by Kryten2k35 is for you, then.
A custom Sammy rom. I've had heaps of luck with the new slim bean, the camera does crash on occasion but just requires you to press okay and then go back to the camera app, instead of having to restart the phone every time

UltimaRom might be what you are looking for
CodecRom is the Daddy - IMO of course.
DSA is still updating via his website, and help (not that you need much as everything always works!) is available in the Q&A thread.
please don't turn this thread into a best ROM one. all of these ROMs have the same camera performance
Could give ReVolt a try ... Tbh I was in same predicament as you and I've tried the 4.2 camera and I didn't like it as first.. Just change a few settings on that .. I know it may not perform perfect but fiddle with settings you may even fall in love with it

[Q] Fastest rom for Galaxy s2

Hey.
I am looking for a fast rom for my samsung galaxy s II i9100. I want it to be fast but it's also important that it's stable. I've tried out a couple of custom roms but no one was what I was looking for. Cyanogenmod was very clean and also fast, but the battery was just sucked out of the phone...
So... what whould you prefer??
Thanks in advance!

Try the ROMs for yourself and find out, no one is going to give you any advice since you decide what ROM is best for you
A red one (because red is the fastest colour)
for stability sammy roms, aosp (cm, etc...) is fast but not 100% stable (open source drivers). just choose

My Advice: Dorimanx Kernel 9.39 + SlimBean Build 8
It's an AOSP ROM, battery life with shipped kernel is okay, not extraordinary but not as devastating as XENON HD.
And very stable and fast, probably because it really deserves its name: Its just 81MB
Try it!
Guys, why are 'What is the best/fastest/greatest rom?' questions suddenly allowed? It's subjective, no one can tell you.
So stop asking and please stop answering with subjective suggestions.

Ahem ahem. From when did it become a kitkat based ROM? Is it not a jelly bean based kitkat themed ROM? No offence. Just asking
