solution for root at 0.62 (downgrade) - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A
Well, I was wondering and reviewing several posts and achieve get, here are the steps taken to have root q at 0.62 sk17i xperia mini pro:
1. make backup of everything (I use titanium)
2. FlashTool download and install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309(I did with version 0.5.3.0)
3. download file. ftf of this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477440and place it in the firmware of FlashTool
4. FlashTool and click open the flash / Flashmode / select the file and ok for ftf
5. connect the phone in Flashmode (mini pro with key low volume) and wait
6. once the flashing turn and proceed to the root by this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
7. download the new firmware from the phone and update.
to restart the phone it will have updated and root
I am a rookie, and it is my first post and hope it helps many people

this right but also a tutorial in Spanish for my brother, thanks I also am of Peace, but the simplest is to take root in any model of SE and then updated and ready companion for pc not lose ROOT, I I did and it worked, since there is no root for 62 version

Or you can just use wotanserver to pick up an "US Generic .58" firmware, root it with flashtool, and OTA will be available.

mine doesnt want to turn on..
i explain: i have .62 originally, so i downgraded using flashtool to .42, then i root it using your link. Then I update back to .62 using the in-phone update (not the pc) but the phone doesnt restart. If i press the power button, i can see the green led light very weak and the phone doesnt do anything.

Una vez vi el icono de super user, intenté actualizarlo de vuelta a la .62 pero el telefono luego de hacer el allante del upgrade, no quiere prender. Presiono el boton de power y solo se ve el bombillito verde que prende bien tenue pero no hace nada..
any advice? algun consejo?

Try removing the battery and wait about 5 minutes to turn it on, if not try to flash again with the FlashTool, try to have a secure network to download the update

only update you if you did not play any system file, as I did a mistake was produced by OTA update, so I had to root q and update flash -

Does the downgrade root method also works with the newest .69 Firmware?
not probe because in my country the .69 update does not come out yet, but should work, but in this case if you go back to the 42 and rooteas is have you on the upgrade to .69 for ota
for those who using FW.62 or .69 you have to downgrade to .58 FW 1st then root using this kit...after root u can upgrade ur firmware Over-The-Air(OTA) the root still remain there...
u may use the WotanServer.com to downgrade....while it still free^_^ try using Trade Germany firmware cuz it gave u update .69 i'm using it now...and i'm from Malaysia and live here its work perfectly on me....^_^

Where the flashmode key for Live with Walkman? And after the root , firmware update is can be done by pc companian or not?because this is my first android phone and first experience for me.

main reason is that OTA update data and applications are not deleted, but with the pcsuite erase everything to root!

build.prop aqui esta el build.prop que acabo de usar para hacer el ugrade desde un noruego a brazileiro jajaja ... como sos argentino me vas a entender hace 10 minutos actualice sin problemas ahora probare el 3g aca en chile con entel haber sin funciona la cagada esta ...espero que te sirva boludo (con cariño) saludos

You will only get the 0% battery problem if you flash from 2.3.4 to 2.3.3 or 2.3.2, so no need to worry about this for you.

Hi friends.Sorry my bad english!!! My Sony Xperia Live With Walkman WT19I (12w16) bricked but i dont know hard or soft. So i was try install a rom (Revolution_Super Silk 8.0! aroma installer) from sd card with recovery.But before install i was delete cache,dalcik cache and in "monts and storage" format system and data.After i try install from sd card but during frezee installer.I was restart the phone but nothing.No flashmode (green led),no boot ONLY SONY logo and my pc not recognized the phone only with test point (zeus driver). My bootloader locked but still testpoint detect on pc via Zeus driver . Before flash my stock rom was all things work fine. When battery charge very low only blink red led then the pc detect as unknown device. -I was try other battery,usb cable, on other pc.-->nothing -all drivers installed. -under battery "12w16" -i have locked bootloader -no flashmode only SONY logo -i have a fully cwm nandroid backup -i have a TA backup Maybe the TA damaged? I need help i had installed a rom with locked bootloader since I can't unlock my phone it was called ¨DeliciousSandwich¨ and I had it rooted by EROOT and I wanted to go back to the original firmware to use it again and see if it was available with some applications and things like that and Flash my phone with flashtool and after flashing it stayed in the logo and occupied other firmwares almost like more than 26 firmwares and it stayed in the sony logo and turned off and on and quickly went to the walkman logo in 4.0 or sony ericsson in 2.3 since I tried with firmwares of 2.3 and 4.0 and there are some where it shows me the error ¨The device does not recognize the command¨ and I no longer know what to do since the same thing happens to me with an ST18i that I ordered on aliexpress and I dedicate myself to occupy and try old cell phones and I wanted to revive these but there is nothing anymore and in no repair place in my city they accepted it they looked at it and told me that there was no longer support and in the Xperia companion the same thing happens and in old versions It turns out that my cell phone is blocked or the application doesn't even open. Hello! I am using Sony Xperia Go ST27i. I had a pattern lock on phone and my younger brother tried to unlock my phone. he draw the pattern 20 times wrong and now my phone is asking for security question and my account details. i forgot what was the answer of my security question and also my phone is not connected to the internet so I can't enter my account details untill its connect to internet. I am trying to Factory Reset my phone. I have tried to go into recovery mode but my phone only vibrates 3 times and nothing happens when i try to go in recovery mode. i have also tried flashing it with xperia flashtool by andryoxide. but error occured when i try to do that. it shows this error "the processing of loader.sin completed with errors" and then Flashing aborted. plz someone help me. Hi, Have you tried using PC Companion? 1. Install PC Companion from Sony Mobile's website ( http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion// ) 2. Connect your phone to your computer and when it detects, press Support Zone. 3. Choose Software Update, and there'll be a pop up 4. Press Recover phone (Might say little different, but it is blue in letters) And now you should be able to factory reset your phone.
