ok my mom and dad each have an asus transformer tf-101 running 4.0.3 ice cream sandwich and they would like to be able to put photos on the removable micro sd cards in their tablets so they can take them to Walgreens and get professorial prints done and the Walgreens we have can get the photo off the tablets because the computers they have do not have the drivers for mounting an android device so we have to use an sd card. but i was looking and saw in honeycomb and ice cream sandwich sd card are just read only is their a way to make them read/write?
Thank you for any help,

To all our SD chefs out there, has anyone considered porting MDJ's ViVo v2.5 so that it can be used on a SD Card. Similar work is already taking place on the Android HD2 NAND build.
It would be nice to see sense 3.0 in HD2 Android SD development
Cheers
100% agree. I really hope at some point, some clever guy does something magic with a kernal and we can do this. I'm still really comfortable on SD for now, partly as I can't tear myself away from a ROM which isnow 4 months old (and this is from a former flash-a-holic). I feel that when Sense 3.0 is perfected, I may consider NAND again (I have NANDed twice for the fun of it), but I would love an SD version to tinker with.
The good thing about SD is it's like having a Virtual PC. You can chop/change/resume. I know NAND is overall much better, but SD's advantages are still enough to keep me here for the moment
Found this on youtube today, it isn't in English but shows off ice cream sandwich on the prime.

Seems like all Transformer Prime were on ICS during the Asus event in taiwan.
Too much showing the camera off, I want to see the ICS apps like Talk and Gmail running on the Prime.
I would like to know if anyone here can help with this. Can the Flyer / Evo View have it's Internal Memory Upgraded and if so, How?
I don;t think so, not easily and why would you want to? You already have a Micro SD slot for that.
To upgrade past 32GB. That's why. I would either go to 64GB or Higher if it's possible.
Not going to happen. The SD interface is limited to 32 GB cards max. That's the limit for most or all devices.
Just plug in a USB hard drive and zoom to #### TBs
As to being limited to just 32GB, you could be really wrong. My HTC Arrive is supposed to only come with 16GB. I upgraded it to 32GB. I have a friend that just put a 64GB Micro SDXC Card in the Micro SDHC Card slot in his phone. So as to you saying that it's not supported can be Very Wrong. If it's not a card, then it can be upgraded to what can be put there, but then it would not worth the while to tear it apart and de-soder it, then re-soder the new one in it's place.
I believe that a sdxc 64gb micro sd card works if you format it in the device so that its a FAT32 format.

No. It's an EMMC chip that has certain parts blown into it and we don't have the tools to write them on a blank eMMC chip. The largest available (electrically compatible) eMMC is a 64GB and even if it were possible to write those parts you wouldn't get very far by sodering it, however you might have some luck soldering it.

Hi baller,
I also have a 64gb sandisk ultra I am running, when you format the card, you need to use fat32 with a 16kb cluster size. I you just have the one partition you will end up with approx 59gb of space. I used MiniTool Partiton, free for home use. Anyway, that was my first setup, now I have a 28gb fat32 partiton and a 31gb ext4 partition. I am running the mod from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803252 on blackbean 3 with the modified boot.blob from YoMark. If you try this out, and download and of the modified boot.blob files, make sure when you insert them into the rom that you change the name to be boot.blob. Each one is specific to a certain rom so don't try to mix and match... class 10 card works the best for this but I think some people have used class 6 also... depends on the brand of card mostly...
Link2SD is the app i've been using since gingerbread up until jellybean. works like a charm. it's free, too!
Have had a Sony Tablet S that I have enjoyed, but as time goes on I find the inability to root it (came with the wrong kernel and then I got the upgrade notice to ICS the next day which sealed my fate) has become a larger and larger problem. Biggest issue is that the version of ICS on it makes the SD Card read only unless you use the Sony File Transfer program.
So am thinking of getting another 9-10" Android tablet. Would like to make sure it is at least dual core, and this time I'd like to make sure it's easily rooted, etc. Anything like that out there in the $300-$400 range? Would be great if like the Sony it supported a full sized SD card, but I will make do if it at least handles a micro SD.
Thanks in advance!
Xoom. Got jb ota over a week ago and its not too hard to find one for cheap. I got a 32gb for 299 at Walmart in January.
Even if its getting older the Xoom does look like a good tablet. It gets quick OS updates from Google, it already has Jelly Bean available. I don't know any other 9-10" tablets that even have JB yet, besides unofficial CM10 roms.
Xoom, eBay has great prices on it.
