I just recently noticed this on my phone as you see in the pic I have the spot semi circled. If I tap in that spot nothing happens. You would think it would open the applications folder. Now if I tap on the exact spot on the other side even almost to the far corner opera opens. Is anyone else having this issue with their phones?

UPDATE: I just went to best buy to see about exchanging my note for a new one. I tried the touch test on 6 of their phones 4 demo and 2 brand new out of the box and they all have this problem. I'm hoping Samsung fixes this soon so I can get a new one.

Yup that is exactly what mine looks like i tried with my finger and s pen and could not get any response from that bottom right corner or very bottom. DAMMIT! i wonder if they made a bad batch or if all of them are like this

I doubt it would be the screen protector because then there should be more dead spots.

Test the outermost edges.
The bottom i understand...the skyrocket had constant issues with registering screen touches as capacitive button touches...that space may fix that

I have the same issue. Just tested it. I hit the applications button like seven times in a row this morning and it wouldn't launch. Now I know why. WTF can't we ever get a phone that doesn't have some sort of issue. UGH!

well by doing some more research this is a leak of the device before it came to tmobile, i dont know why other websites says that it will be chipped with sense 3.5??

there was an event at first of this year and htc showed an amaze 4g running ICS, do you remember that, so i believe there is really something there,

Pretty sure they just slap on blank android when they show off phones at events. They did it earlier this year when showing off the One series I believe.

No, It's a AOSP (like) launcher, I'm pretty sure they have the Sense framework baked in, notice the styling of the Notification bar, etc. This was obviously in a pre-release state, and the Sense launcher may be the only thing not dropped on it.

have you guys noticed how good the viewing angles are on this screen? look at the angle the person is holding it in that photo, I think it flys past the sensations

its actually a blue housing...it looks dark so it appears black....look closely....the only real black part is the metal stripe that covers the battery (where ours is silver)

Works some of the time on mine. Think it has something to do with the xda app/tapatalk. Was fine before updated a while back. I found that if you rrotate the phone from portrait to landscape(or vice versa) with the blank picture frame on screen, the picture will appear. (last 2 photos). There is discussion thread on this from a couple of months ago.

I'm seeing intermittent results with images as well. I loaded this thread and could see the image in the first reply but none in the subsequent reply. Clicking on the unviewable images only brought up the menu.
However, rotating from portrait to landscape and back at least allowed me to then click on an image (although it still didn't render) and see the image as a pop-up. Weird.

Nice, rotating got them to load or at least be clickable and they loaded when I clicked.
I usually just open in overskreen browser if it's a pic heavy thread.

Same problem with me. Bugged me enough that I bought the paid tapatalk app (not xda premium) and have had absolutely zero problems since.

I owned Tapatalk then purchased xda premium to show my support but back to Tapatalk it is. However, its disappointing that in trying to support xda, I end up with an inferior product.

There is no problem in viewing the images. The images are loading properly on page and on click also. Potrait and landscape mode both are working fine.
Exit the app and restart it. It might help or if just restart your phone. May be it would help...

Actually there is. I own both Tapatalk and xda premium. Image threads always have problems in xda premium. Tapatalk has far fewer. It doesn't matter if you restart the app, reboot the phone or whisper sweet nothings to one or the other. The problem persists.

. There are 2 places under settings that affect auto rotate. 1 under display and the other under accessibility. They both have to be checked.

+1 Just do it. Call warranty dept.
This is a round about way of checking it. Get app circled in first pic. (free on playstore). Run it and watch pitch and roll #s (circled 2nd photo) as you tilt your phone back and forth and side to side. Plus the brown circle should move with the phone movement. At least should eliminate/confirm bad sensor. Hope this helps.

One of the "possibilities" they showed in the video was something just like that, except it only opened bi-fold. Still an awesome idea, I would just be worried about durability. Anything folded and unfolded 100 times a day is going to wear out

I agree..... how would they do it to take that pounding???
Can't wait for samsung to make a full 10" rollable flexi sheet w/Wacom digitizer integration.
I'm concerned about reliability in a flexible device as well.
I suspect they may use a "wrap " feature first, using abstract edges and multi screen functions.
A flexible display wrapped around ....say ....a cylinder, would be simply badazz....
Possibilities are indeed endless ....g

I have to agree that their is definately some concern with flexi screens, and development\. But can you also imagine the galaxy pebble but phone size, and oval shapped fully wrapped all the way around with a screen? That would also be sick.

It kinda looked like the dude with the Bluetooth was using an iphone of some sort. On another note that Tablet was kinda neat too... Reminds me of the buzzerrs at restaurants. But I would assume with the wrap around prototype its possible to have a message like that flash around the device as an led notification. That would be boss especially if you can customize the colors and what not
