[Q] accidentally write a bootable image on my 1GB nook tablet drive - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Hi. I was trying to make a bootable sd card for my nook tablet but I accidentally wrote the image on my 1 GB drive. Can anyone help?

What happens when you plug your device to your PC does it mount both internal and external sd? if so then just use a windows 3rth party software to format internal sd "MyNOOK" to fat32.

The internal storage is a linux partition and can handle the size. The SD CARD is FAT32 by default because that is what is mounted via USB and is the most compatible among devices. Kinda like a USB Thumbdrive.
To save it to internal memory you would need to save it somewhere outside of the SDCARD mount. You might need root access to save there though. I haven't tried yet myself and most user files are saved to the SDCARD by default.
BTW, its better to keep your questions to one post. Asking the same question in different threads will lead to confusion.
Okay sorry don't wonna confuse someone. I'll keep it in mind for the future but thanks to all
it has to do with MTP, you can copy something bigger than 4gs to the sd card via a reader and then internally transfer it to main memory, or use something like wifi explorer to wirelessly move it over.

[Q] Installing android on sd card

Hello there.
I have a question regarding installation of android on SD card.
I bought this low end tablet to play with but it only has android 1.6 installed.
Via some guides and such i found out that the os is stored on a sd card inside the tablet.
Is it possible to just burn another image of android (for example 2.2) to the sd card and boot the device?
The device also have an external sd card slot.
Is there any android images that is available for download?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Wont that damage my GT? you mean clicking my computer then GT-P7510/ Tablet and right click format? im pretty sure when the GT is new there must be some important files on the SD?
I am not 100% sure but I hope I will help you. It is not an SD card like the one in your phone or camera. A part of the internal memory is mounted under /sdcard folder.Just connect it to a computer and delete everything in /sdcard!

[Q] Move to bigger SD card with Dual boot nook Tablet

I Hope I post this to the correct place. I have a 8gb Nook Tablet. I am doing the dual boot with mod 7 on a 8g msd card. I would like to move all the info to a 16g msd card but I have no idea how to do that. Can someone help me with this ?
the best way i can think of is to use dd command to create an image of your entire sdcard and then burn it to the new one, so you keep all the settings, apps, etc.
Then you can use a partition software to extend the last partition of your new 16gb sdcard all the way to the right so you use all the space available.

As Veronica already mentioned, the correct way is to burn an image
On Windows use a 'win32DiskImager' to make an image of your existing 8gb Card. It has an GUI and it is easy to use. On Linux dd command, if you need the exact command, you can search the forum or ask.
Then put the 16GB card and burn that image on it.
If all is correct you will have 4 partitions (or as many partitions as the 8gb Card).
Next step will be to expand/resize the last partition with 8 GB. Before that, make a copy of the file from the last partition, just in case.
On windows you can do that with PartitionManager or Partition Wizard Mini -> which is free.

[Q] PC Connection/SDcard

Hello all,
I am new here to the forums. I recently (yesterday) purchased a Nook Tablet. I installed CM10 as per this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877217
Things went flawlessly. Well... Almost.
After flashing the ROM, I attempted to connect the Nook to my PC to transfer some music. However, My PC didn't recognize the nook at all. The Nook went in to charge only mode. I am unable to communicate with my PC in any way.
Additionally, I seem to only have 2GB of space to work with from my generic internal storage (I got the 8GB version). In the storage menu it sees that in addition to the 4gb of internal data (with 2gb available) I have an internal SD card with 4 GB of data. However, when I try to move apps to the SD card, or even access the sd card with apps such as Androzip or ES File Explorer, it says there is no space on the SD card or that it is empty. Additionally, other apps that I have installed tell me that the SD card is not mounted. When in fact it is according to the storage menu in the settings.
I am unsure if I am the only one experiencing this issue. I tried to post in the thread linked above, but being that I am new to XDA, I was not allowed to. Also, I did indeed search for the past hour and a half for a solution, but without luck (obviously). Thanks in advance for any help. Also, being new I do apologize if I have placed this query in the wrong place.
****UPDATE*****
I was finally able to fix the issue with the connection to the PC!!
I can also access the sd card from my explorer on the PC, and through the Tablet. However, the Tablet reads the internal sdcard as sdcard0. But it doesn't recognize this as an sd card, but as a folder. There is still an "sdcard" in the parent directory, but it will not let me access it as it says it is missing or not mounted. It is like it is reading the internal sd card, but not as an internal sdcard.
Welcome to the forum. I have moved this thread to Q&A. Where there is a Q&A section (as this device has) please post any questions there.
When you reach 10 posts you will get access to post in the development section and this post has some useful reading for reaching 10 posts productively.
