my wifi can't find my home network
i can't do anything without wifi, it sucks, it finds some nearby ones, but except home
could be your router not broadcasting. or your too close to your router.
try deleting all your saved network, rescan and see if it helps.

Are u on stock rom or custom rom?
If custom rom, what rom u using and what version u using? Sometimes some roms dont work so well with wifi, may be bad installation or something

So this is the problem. Wifi works ok on my original 2.1 firmware. But it doesn't work on custom roms. Why is that? How can I fix it? Please help me someone/

1) which custom roms have You tried ?
2) what do You mean by "doesn't work".
- Can it turn WIFI on ?
- Can it discover network?
- Can it connect to the network?
Which part is the problem.

1. Couple of elenix , fusion rom , and others,cant remember their names.
2.Yes WiFi turns on ,discovers my network,says that it remembered it,but at the last step it says on the network Disconected,and on Wi-Fi disconected,and wifi begins to connect to it again,and it can happen like that forever.
I would think it's router related.
Have You tried with other wireless networks ?

it is your router problem , i had mine .. i 've managed to change router .. try other ROMs and see if it works than it is good
But why that my netbook and laptop are ok with wifi? I also mentioned that on original firmware everything was ok. Any suggestions?
Okay, after installing the rather marvelous StockLite 5.0 ROM my wifi seems to have gotten a mind of its own.
The wifi is on, it sees networks and is scanning allright. However, I cannot save passwords of the Wifi network I am on all day @ work. I know I have the right credentials (password, network knows my mac address etc.etc.). My phone just says: can't save the network. (or somehting)
What is up and how do I pursuade my phone into acting as it should?
(no 10 posts yet, so can't post in the ROM thread, sorry about that)
The weird thing is that wifi works fine at home and at my moms place.
Could this be because the network @ work has WEP enabled while at home and at my mom's place we use WPA/PSK?

My experience is that if you install an Asian based ROM and use a NA or European modem file you will always experience some type of WiFi problem. So if you want to keep this ROM then flash the corresponding modem file. Otherwise switch back to a European ROM.

Anyway, thanks for replying. I'm gonna go find a rom that understands the wifi @ work. Even though Stock Lite is brilliant!
I got this problem when i use DroidVPN.
i don't remember what exact happens.
One day I use DroidVPN to access a Free Internet access.
and after i finished use it.. i close this application and my disable my 3G
but after that. i try to use again the DroidVPN
Same action . try to Open my 3G yes I enable it.
but theres no "H" or "Up/Down" Symbol that says my 3G is enable.
and when i browse there's no internet connection.
how can i fix this issue.

Format it into Stock ROm.
Try To flashed Diff. KErnels and ROm.
Try to change SIm.
but nothing Happens.

so my wifi network is saved but it does not connect to my device...i have an archidroid 2.3.6 custom rom....i tried restarting the router, restarting the phone...i even tried re installing the rom and there was no change...any help please ??

I've seen this a lot in Sony phones, but very rare in the S3. What worked for me was to change the router's transmission from "a/b/g" to "g only".
You can try this and report back.

Im having a strnge issues these days ..i have notice wifi acting weird on custom roms /custom kernels. On stock miui wifi connects perfectly when ever i move to other custom roms im facing bit odd things to my wifi ..it just shows saved not connected .in official RR it does . even if i flash any kernel wifi having that issue .i try to flash persist .img from dev rom ..prob still is there. Any idea how to fix my wifi.

restart your modem. your wifi ssid is hidden ?
Use static connections, in advanced settings of your wifi setup. I use static, somehow dhcp does not work for me
