Ok...
Whatsapp works, Email works. But SMS notification just doesn't...
Tried shutting down, changing ringtone, and even the power button+ volume down trick.Nothing is working.
SMS just silently comes in...
Help??
From within "Text Messaging" app, press the menu button [left most physical touch key].
Then go to "Messaging Settings". Scroll all the way down to Notification settings.
Adjust the settings accordingly to what you'd like.

The Bluetooth button on the phone screen (during a call) has never worked for me. To turn on bluetooth I have to go back to home screen and turn it on from there. Is this only my phone or is this true for others?

I haven't used Bluetooth recently, but as an option you could also put the Bluetooth widget in the strip of notifications power widget, available when you pull the notification bar down. More convenient than on the in-call screen anyway.
Configure what widgets are present and what order they're presented in here -> Settings/CyanogenMod settings/Interface/Notification power widget
From there choose "Widget buttons" to choose what widgets to show, and "Widget button order" to change what order they're shown in.
Hint: If you unchoose all the notification power widgets from the "Widget buttons" menu, and then re-choose only the ones you want and in the order you want them, you won't have to re-order them in the "Widget button order" menu.
Thanks, I actually had the button on the notification screen, just hadn't thought of using it during a call yet. Good idea! I'm still curious why the in-call button doesn't work, but this will make it easy enough to turn on.
Just flashed from GSBv2.2G to GSBv2.5 this morning and haven't tried that bluetooth button on the phone screen yet.
I'm using the notification power widget and it works like a charm. Super fast compared to stock.

You're welcome! Probably just an oversight in the CM7 development.
Is there an app which can make the phone vibrate any time i press the screen when i open an app , select something etc, not just when i press a key on the virtual keyboard?
Some one posted in here..
dunno if it works, since my Accessibility settings are disabled!

In GinderDX & some over custom there is function "back" button "end call". How can we make function "accept incoming call" on "menu" button and save function "menu" for other apps. If possible you can make this for all xda-xperiax8 users and for me. Sorry for a noob question and my bad english.
Thanx all who helped.

There is an app called "button remaper". Search for it and I think it needs root.

ButtonRemapper not have function "accept incoming call" only "endcall", and ButtonRemapper don't save function "menu" for other apps. I think for this need change Phone.apk, but i'm not able do this.
added:
Has found, ButtonRemapper have function "phone" and this worked. But if i press menu button in other apps its open phone. I need for "menu" worked as "phone" only than i have incomming call.
I enjoy that it is easy to access the themer menu easily, but it triggers very frequently when I am using the dialer widget. Is there any way to disable the menu?
Have had same issue as have others m8,the developers are looking into it
For the moment, you can uncheck "Lock homescreen Widgets" in Advanced Settings > Desktop, I think that's a little bit more slowly to appear.

The problem is that Themer has "double tap" for Themer Menu in the Gestures. When using the Dialer widget you type the first 2 numbers and it thinks you double tapped. Wish I could disable this gesture.

Hi,
Hold down on the homescreen - Themer Settings - Gestures - Double Tap - select the "X" at the top of the screen. Done

Well I find that it triggers much too easy as only a long press menu as well. In your case, just disable the double tap gesture in the settings.
But yea, that menu is popping up all the time for me when I don't want it to. Would like more settings for this. I have it set to pop up with long press on the home button. That is good enough for me. No need for it on the screen. An option to disable would be great.
Also would like an option to get rid of the red X on long presses when widgets are unlocked.
Hi all. It may seem a silly question and probably it is but there are apps (in this case Touchdown mail client) that haven't an icon to open the in app settings menu. With my previous phones I used a physical button, usually long press on the back button, to open it. But how to do it with the single button p9000? Thank you.
Very good question, they seem to have forgotten about apps that need a physical key for menu, have you tried enabling the softkeys to see if the menu button appears on them for you? Can the "Smart Button" not be setup to be the menu key? or is it only to open apps? I not played with it myself..
Still searching how to have the MENU inside applications, softkeys does not work !
I would ask the software maker! The phone maker won't add more physical buttons.
And multiple press are always software driven!
Even if the phone maker did, that won't help you out with the old hardware...
Doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere online so here goes:
Go to settings > Navigation bar > Turn On.
Go to app you need a menu on > swipe up from bottom to bring up the Nav bar.
Three dots appear on the end of the nav bar. Done.
If the three dots don't appear; click on the recent tasks button and then go back into the app and they should come up.
Tried and tested with EZ Drop.
- Doesn't seem to work with apps with the built in "three dots" menu.
I use ‘Menu Button (No root)’ by JetToast free on the Play store, to get round this problem.
