[Q] Looking for a toddler lock app - HTC EVO 3D

I know that there are some apps in the market that have a "toddler lock" built in. For instance, there is an app called Toddler Paint that locks all buttons on the phone until a certain sequence is pressed to unlock.
My question is this: Is there an app that would allow me to apply this principle to any app on my phone? My kids like to play games, but often hit the Home it Back buttons.
Thanks for any help given.

it has one big problem. you can't type anything when you need to put your name in for high score. so you cant actually pass a level and move to the next
You can type you just have to wait for the keyboard to FINALLY show up

You can hit back to close out or for any options... you have to hit home and close with a task killer.
I don't have a credit card and i notice the only way amazon would let me download it is if i put a card info, anyway to get pass that?

[Q] Launcher that allows locking to one screen

I have a 3 y/o grandson who loves playing games on my Atrix. Unfortunately he has discovered the camera and other things and has wandered into my contacts.
I use LauncherPro but have not been able to find a way to lock him to just one screen. Is there another launcher with this feature?
I like LauncherPro and don't want to use something else, but would if it didn't suck too much and had this feature.
There are several apps that alow you to password lock other apps, you can pick and choose which ones.
Thanks for the thought, but I was looking for a more general solution.

Does there exist such an app where in which I would be able to stream my phone home screen to my desktop? similar to how splash top and the like work but vice versa.

You can try MyMobiler
I'm unrooted, is there any way to get this without root?
Sent from my R800i using XDA
From Droid VNC server's Google Play page: "As of Honeycomb 3.2 there is no non-rooted display grab API, unless the package is signed by the manufacturer or operator."
In other words I doubt it is possible without root.
It is possible. In fact I am developing a tool which does that. Should be out in 2 weeks. I'll keep you posted.

I have seen an app, no idea what it was called. I think it was only for tablets, but I suppose that's what you have, sorry for being dumb if that was stated. If I find it I will tell you the app. It was free one day on the Amazon Appstore.

There's an app for this called remote web in case anyone wants to know

Yes there is, well kind of. Look at justin.tv app. I stream live from my phone all the time onto justin or twitch ( both same company ) onto my channel. Then just go to the channel on any comp or phone around the world. For example, download justin.tv app from app market. Create a free channel on their site, turn the app on and login then hit the record button. It'll say live recording, goto your site aka twitch.tv/name and watch.

Adobe Reader

Does anyone know how to make a shortcut for reader on the home screen?

Did you skip android 101? Open the launcher, long press the application and drag it around where you want it.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
Lol of course I know that. But reader doesn't show up in app drawer.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
Then you don't have it? Adobe reader certainly shows in my app drawer.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
I do have it, if I go to es file explorer and open a pdf I can read them but would rather not have to go that route.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
It will only show in app drawer if the ROM has apps unhidden like my 3.6 ROM and lllboredlll's and I think Joel's
Thanks, unfortunately I'm in Afghanistan for the next four months so I can't S-off or download any roms till I get home. So I guess I'll just have to wait.

I have it and it doesn't show in the app drawer. I launch it from the market.

Spam in notification bar

Recently I have been getting spam ads in my notification bar I think it was from installing GNES lite but I'm not sure. also an icon appeared on my desktop that was some sort of spam. I'm curious if anyone has any tips how to isolate the source so I can get rid of it.

I would look into the settings of all the apps you've installed around the time you first noticed it. Other than that, it might be a process of elimination. How about checking the play store page for the apps too? I'm sure other ppl will comment on that in the reviews.

Found it. It was superN64 by superN64 games

Glad you found it already. I thought I'd leave a little tip here in case you didn't know and need it in the future. If you long press on a notification an "App Info" button will come up which will take you directly to the app responsible for the notification. From there you can disable notifications for that app by unchecking the "Show Notifications" box.

Get Mupen64 or N64oid. N64oid isn't in the play store, but you can find it in other places. I personally find N64oid to work better and have some better options.
