[Q] Coby Kyros MID7010 Questions - Please Help ? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a few questions / problems about this tablet of mine running android 2.3.3:
1) I noticed that my tablet only lasts for about 1 day on standby. When checking the battery usage info, I found that supposedly the cell antenna or something to that affect had used 86 % of the battery. But my tablet doesn’t have any cellular network / service / any gps. So what is this then ? And how can I stop it from using all my battery. Surely the wireless antenna used for wi-fi turns off when the tablet goes into sleep mode ?
2) I installed Youtube .apk file (version 2.3.4). Problem is that whenever I start it; it says "there was a problem with the network [400]" .
3) I installed android market 3.4.4 .apk file on my android tablet running android 2.3.3. Problem is that whenever I try to install/uninstall an app using
the market; I get the error : "The application market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" And I am forced to force close it. The same thing happens even after I clear the app's data. What is wrong ???
Also, I have noticed that not all apps appear within the market even
though after installing them via .apk they work fine. Is there a way to get all apps to show in the market & how can I update apps that I installed as .apk files ???
If someone could provide some answers for these questions it would be greatly appreciated !!
Thanks

Archos 101IT Android Keyboard problem: process com.android.inputmethod.latin

I don't know what happened because I don't think I did anything I wasn't supposed to but for some reason all of a sudden my Android Keyboard gave me this message:
"The application Android Keyboard (process com.android.inputmethod.latin) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Only thing is that when I go to type something in at a place that needs the input method I can still see the soft keyboard come up in the background behind the above message. Is there something I can re/install to fix this or do I have to reformat my entire device!? What do I do!?
P.S. - I have full, permanent root access and have cleared out the "davlik-cache" folder numerous times to no avail.
Scratch this request, I just reinstalled and re-permanently rooted my A101IT & that solved it. For future reference, I'd still like to know how to fix that problem by any other means beside a full reformat?

[Q] 2.3.3 Market and Youtube Problem

Dear,
Few months, I upgraded my X10 from 2.1 to 2.3 with root and everything is fine.
However, I reinstalled my system from the update service yesterday.
It seems no problem except that when I opened the market with WiFi, I can view contents but can not download it. The screen displayed "downloading" and no any further response. Also, the similar problem was observed in the Youtube app with Wifi connection. I can click the video but it was not played.
If I use 3G connection, everything will be fine.
I do not change any setting with my APs.
I searched some solutions and all of them do not help me.
For example, 1)clean the catch of those google apps in the settings->manage softwares or 2)open the port5228 in my APs.
I also tried to reinstalled the system with different version of fireware but can not solve this problem.
The only thing I can do is to downgrade to 2.1, in this case, the problems will be solved. After I upgrade 2.1 to 2.3 from update service or by using flashtool, the problems occurrs. It is really unhappy.....
Can anyone give me some more suggestions what can I do?

[Q] Another Market problem

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post here so I apologize if this i s the wrong section. The problem is simple, I rooted my phone and installed a different firmware version which already had the market as a stock app (before I couldn't connect to the market). Now I can connect and browse but apps are stuck at starting "downloading". I searched on the forum, I contacted the android market guys but nothing seems to work.
Here's a list of all the things I've already done with no result whatsoever:
Sign in and out of Google Talk repeatedly to restore connection to google servers (google talk or gmail don't give me any problem)
Ensure there is enough space on device for the app to install
Reboot device
Confirm there is strong connectivity on device, and contact mobile service provider
Try download(s) using both WiFi and network (3G/4G) connections
Unmount and remount the SD card
Cleared Market, Download Manager and Google Services Framework cache and data
CheckedIunchecked/rechecked background data, auto-sync, date and time settings
installed oldmarket app and tried using market older version
installed 3.20 market version (I had 3.15)
factory reset and reinstalled the firmware (and went through all the steps again)
went to samsung center to see if there was something wrong with the device
Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this? It's really frustrating and it's starting to get on my nerves quite a bit.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Im having the same problems. I've even updated to 3.1.6 and still same problems. Android market is slow and I have to try 20 times to go to my app list and do an update.
...anyone?
any ideas at all?
Have you tried to flash any other type of ROM as well as different Radio nor Kernel?
Meanwhile if you need to install an app, you could do it from your computer browser via market, while you find out a solution to solve this problem.
Normally what I do is simply clear the market and google frameworks cache and data, but seems like for you is not working.
At this point must be a radio issue or a ROM issue.
Same problem anyone got solution ?

[Q] INQ Cloud Touch root/o.s. problem

Hi all!
I have got a INQ Cloud Touch mobile with android 2.2.2 froyo installed on it by default.
The problem is that i can't get root permissions.. I tried almost everything i found looking on the web but nothing seems to work. Android apps like 'z4root', 'androot' or 'gingerbreak' crash or get stuck, and pc programs get stuck on 'waiting for device' even if the mobile is connected and debug mode is enabled.
I really need root permissions because this mobile has plenty of useless apps that i can't remove without.
INQ website provides only an update program that doesn't update android at all..
I think my problem has 2 solutions:
1) get root permissions
2) update android (2.3 is perfect too)
Have you got any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

[Q] Wi-Fi not working out from the blue! CM7.1 nightly build 116

Help!, i kept getting this when ever i tried activating wifi via notification toggle / setting, and getting this *"Sorry! Application Settings (in process com.android.setings) is not responding. Force close/wait" message after a while. When i select Force close, the entire page closed and i'm back on homescreen. If i were to choose "wait", nothing happen.
ROM: CM7.1 Nightly build #116, SGSII
Kernel: CM7.1 stock kernel
Android: 2.3.7
Build Nymber: GWK74
I've tried flashing stock ROM DXKI2, the problem still remains, instead, this time it just turn back off by itself, without showing any "Force close/wait" option.
Summary, everything was working after i started installing apps from Google 10billions apps download event, i bought a couple .10cents apps and installed them, one of them is Minecraft pocket (the app i suspect that causes this problem), due to the fact after i tried uninstalling it (from application manager), i can no longer connect to wifi (with that message * showing all the time when i attempt to connect)
Any suggestion to fix this problem?
Things tried:
Full wipe: Yes
Re-installed CM7.1: Yes
Re-download CM7.1 build 116: Yes
Re-installed stock ROM: Yes
reset router: Yes (tho the problem is likely not my router but rather my phone)
Few links i've spotted that shows similar traits as my problem
-http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/26082-wi-fi-force-close/
-http://android.modaco.com/topic/331933-wifi-settings-causes-force-close/

Trust me when i say i've searched high and low, and none of it gives a proper respond for fixes, i'm hoping xda community will come up with something as my last resort!
