[SOLVED] [HELP] Default theme when cooking ROM - Optimus One, P500, V General

So, in my custom ROM (based on cm nightly), I want to set a theme (which is an apk) as the default theme when the ROM boots up. Like, I have ics theme apk in the rom and when i flash rom and boot up for the first time, the default theme should be ics...not cyanbread or system theme.
Thanks for the help!

Kinda nooby to ask... themed rom...
You could try to grab /system/data/themechooser and include in your ZIP, otherwise, spit the forum Chef central > Android.
I'm quite active there, I replied there also.
Greets!
I'm not a fake.
I prefer people to reply to me and give feedback instead of thanking me!
But thanking me does show if you apreciate my works.

My ROM already has themechooser!...I am asking how to set a theme .apk as default theme?

You have to get themechooser.apk sources and modify the code with the name of the theme you want to be default. Then you compile it and put in your ROM.

[App] LAUNCHER PRO SENSE UI

Just came across this one while I was checking ROMs for my Ideos, you can check the OP here. (Thanks and all the credit goes to Cheez2553)
Decided to try it out on my XT and I must say, after using Go Launcher forever, I love the look! If you want to get the full Sense look just add Beautiful Widgets or something of the like, and BAM! You're on! LOL
Attached are some snaps.
You can download the app here.
Additional sense wallpapers.
**If you're on MZ's CM6, and want a complete Sense experience, you can apply Sileshn's PURE SENSE THEME and you're all set.

Hey buddy,
No definitely not, i'm just a little busy with work and can't keep flashing roms at the moment, am still on HM xda special with MIUI theme at the moment, (had to flash back my backup when i flashed bravo last week, had issues).
Anyway, i've been following every thread ever since and am planning to flash CM6 some time this week, as i can't wait to try your themes man! Specially the black one, seems promising!
Once i'm done with stuff at work i'll be able to flash anytime and will definitely be the first to test themes for ya like before.

check on my sig...click on androidmeda...there you will find a great rom and kernel that support themes on different dpi....plus one of the devs has modified touchwiz to 160,192,216 and stock dpi.
here is the link as i forgot i have not got it in my sig
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288850
great rom and you will get great support
thanx.

theme should work on multidpi..But the problem that it might not work would be the dialer...if the dialer is multidpi then that would work..
But anyway Vertumus knows regarding multidpi so just ask him in regards to it and i am sure he will help you out..
the launcher is also a problem, homescreen is crammed in the upper part of the screen...
i asked him if a version of his theme will be in 192 dpi... he said that he would make it if he would know.. and if i could get him some kind of a tutorial that he cold learn...
so im asking around

[Q] I'm learning to make Rom's

I'm learning to make Roms and want to start at themeing other peoples Roms. Do you think I should start with this or something else. I currently want to theme Bytecode's openoptimus, what do you think?
Which openiptimus version are you attempting to theme....how much themeing are you planning...first is first,I'd seek permission
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
if u are interested then you must consider porting of roms to make them run on our o1
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Someone is making a thread for tips here and you tell him to port ROMs?
Greets!
I am planning to theme openoptimus build 1.172.1. I am planning to at first change the status bar the icons on the status bar, change up some of the colours and change boot screens at first when I theme the rom. And I did ask permission just didn't get an answer yet but will wait till I do
you dont have to wait, and bytecode doesnt answer my PMs too..
And dont theme with UOT, its useless.
Icon theming is easy.
Greets!
Thanks for the advice!
What do you think I should start with?
I know decent amounts of c++ and am learning java so what do you think i should start with

Hello kite, what you need to do is install apex or nova, then adb pull /data/app
In your adb folder, you'll see either an app folder or the apps themselves.
Nova would be "com.teslacoil.launcher" or something. You should be able to tell which is which.
Any app pulled is usually "com" then the developer account, then whatever.
Just rename it to Nova.apk or Apex.apk.
Put it in your system/app folder.
To remove the Sense launcher, delete Rosie.apk.
Don't forget to press my thanks button if I helped you!
