phone not charging when turned off - HTC Rezound

So my battery drained out and died on me, I go to plug it in and the orange light comes on for 3 seconds and shuts off. I let it sit try to power it up after about 15 mins nothing. I go to bed wake up try to turn it on and nothing. Why wont my phone charge?

Do you have ClockWorkMod installed? There are known issues about this. Best thing to try is pull the battery, plug it all in and try to boot into recovery/hboot. Let the battery charge a bit there then reboot the phone and let it charge to full

I do have clockwork recovery, but I cant boot at all battery drained right out, so there isnt even power to turn on at all.

yea clockworkmod is probably your problem there are plenty of posts explaining this
do u have an external charger you can plug it in? or phone?

HELP Today my phone ran out of batterys

Now when I plug it into the charger, it just goes to the Core Cell splash screen, for like a split second then turns off, then does it repeatedly... I donnu, how to charge my phone, I donnu what to do, please help.
Pull the battery, connect power then put battery back in. This should let it start charging without trying to start the phone.

I tried that, but as soon as i put the battery back in, it'll just restart, I fixed the issue last night, I chucked my Battery into the Freezer, for like... more than 8 hours, woke up, and plugged my phone back together, and it charged, without booting up and restart
So all good

[Q] HELP!!!!!!!

My Aria was running CM 6.1.1 fine 'till all of a sudden it won't charge.....
Only when it's connected to a charger I'm able to turn it on and it goes straight to Recovery mode. After turning it off and on couple of times i manage to get it work but when i disconnect the charger it turns back off.
What should I do? I don't know what can be the problem. I tried to flash new ROM, including my backups but it didn't help.
Thank you!
did you run your battery completely down to 0%? clockwork has a known bug where if you plug the phone in while its turned off, it will load into a faulty version of clockwork.
i'd recommend leaving the phone plugged in, let clockwork show up, hit reboot now, and just leave it plugged in to see if it maintains a charge.
Hey,
Ive tried it. it won't charge and even if it does, the battery lasts for an hour or so ...
So the problem is with my battery?

[Q] Phone only turns on when on charge

Hi,
My ace suddenly stopped turning on... I sent him to reboot and it just turned off.
When I try to turn it on it doesn't do anything. I went in recovery mode and wiped cache and did a factory reset and sent again to reboot... Nothing!
Then I pluged the charger and It wake up.... But battery is still around 50%!
I thought everything was ok till I turned it off and tryed to turn on... Same problem!!
The phone is rooted, custom rom, always worked fine and I didn't do anything to this happen...
Basicaly it only turns on when the carge cable is pluged... Even to go into recovery I have to take out the battery around 10 seconds and put it again... I can only go to download mode with charger cable pluged!
HEEEEEELP PLEASE !
My phone has to turn on even when without the charger....
Edit: Sometimes, when I try to turn it on without the charger pluged it gives show the empty battery image for around a second... After that, it dies... When I connect it to the charger it shows the battery full... Already wiped battery stats, nothing worked.

[Q] HTC EVO 3D will not charge or turn on

Hello,
I am very new to this whole thread posting. I am having an issue with my HTC EVO 3D with Rogers in Canada. It is rooted, and I tried to install custom rom KingCobra3D-ICS-1.5. The phone was close to being out of battery life before I tried the install. I had done a different custom ROM previously the same day and it was fine. My phone booted to the HTC white boot screen but then froze. I took the battery out and tried a few things like holding the camera and power buttons, holding the down volume and power, but cannot boot into hboot. When i plug it into the wall or computer the red light turns on for a few seconds then turns off. When I do try and turn on the power I see a faint red like flicker for a second then nothing. Any help at all would be great!
Thank you
Try this to see if it will help. If not then try connecting your phone into your wall charger and leave it for a few hours.
Plug your phone into your pc. Open up your comand prompt. Then type "fastboot reboot bootloader" without the quotes. After that if your phone boots into your bootloader let it sit for like 15min. Then choose power off. Then connect to wall charger and let sit for a few hours to recharge. FYI anytime you flash anything always make sure your battery is 85% charged or more to avoid this issue. Hopefully this will work for you.

try this
this happened to me i pulled out the battery for 30 minutes and then put the cable pack in then the battery then it turned on, if this doesn't work you could buy a wall charger for the battery so you can charge the battery without the phone

Stuck in bootloop after battery drain

I forgot to charge my phone and the battery drained. Now the moment I plug in the charger, no light shows up, but it boots the MI logo and gets stuck in a bootloop over and over again. I tried charging it via PC and but it doesn't do anything, no lights or any indication that it's charging/connected. I can't seem to boot to twrp (that or I forgot the right combinations since it's been a while, vol up + power then volume down after 10 seconds right?). I can boot it to fastboot mode when plugged on an outlet but I can't boot it at all when plugged on PC, even when using a different USB. I tried disconnecting the battery and plugging the charger in, and it still went through the bootloop even without battery. Is this a software problem itself or is it a battery problem?
Can you measure the battery voltage? If it is 0V, or just around 3V, it might just be the battery. If you feel comfortable dealing Li-Po batteries, you may attempt to charge it a bit, just enough for the phone to pick it up. Be sure to know what you are doing to stay safe.
