Can Android version 2.3.5 be in anyway used in HTC Wildfire??
If yes, I would really like to know the procedure for it.
I have recently installed a custom ROM in it which shows the android version as 2.3.3.
if i were you i would ask this question in the htc wildfire forum for better results, they no this phone in and out goodluck

I've just bought an HTC Hero (Refurb/3UK) of which arrives on Tuesday, but i am completely new to Android having never used the OS or the Device before i am wondering if anyone can help me out with any important information i need to know about.
Ssecondly, i know HTC won't be releasing Android 2.2 for the Hero due to the Hardware Specifications as 2.1 had to be shrunk in order to be rolled out for this device, is anyone working on getting this onto the Hero?
Already a working version of 2.2 is available but without Sense UI

You need to root you're phone ofcourse. And full wipe + nandroid backup

I have recently acquired a rooted HTC Wildfire that came with android gingerbread, but it did not come with the official android market app, but another third party market app instead. I am not very comfortable using, so I was wondering if its possible to downgrade my OS to android froyo or restoring the phone to factory settings (before being rooted)?

Did you manage to do this? My sister just got a HTC wildfire with gingerbread installed on it even though it wasn't advertised as so! I've been searching all morning for how to do and I just can't find any for the wildfire. I don't want to mess it up so just wondered if you had any success? Thanks

Do it at your own risk. I've soft bricked several phones and hard bricked a Galaxy S, but its worth it to me.
I also see you say you have a "ROM Version". I have yet to install a rom that wasn't rooted.
i think he applied a stock update. in germany the sensation was released with android 2.3.2

Use a later rom, , sounds like you are using the original proof of concept rom, which isn't and cant be rooted. All (most of? probably all) the other roms are already rooted.

Last week I bought htc desire a8181/bravo. It has miui rom/android 2.3.7
I want to install cyanogenmod because I dont like miui. I dont need latest version of cg. More important for me is a stable version.

Once I had successfuly installed cyanogenmod (one week for searching files and informations) on wildfire s that wasnt rooted but it was not my phone so I didnt care and I was realy, realy lucky and it was months ago so I forgot how to. So. What files do I need and what stable version of cg is good for this phone? Thanks everyone for help.
