Hot- NFS shift 3D run smooth - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

I belive that you have see this game for windows mobile before. Game is nearly ~100mb and often work smooth on phone like HD2
But i found a solution to make game work smooth on old phone by replace the res file by an other res file from Android.
Fisrt you must install the cab file of NFS shift.
I'm not sure that the forum allow me to post it here so please google or find it from my topic
tinhte.vn/threads/1119693/#post15055026
Then you need down load this file:
mediafire.com/?unc4qkqc6l399a3
Sorry, i can't post the outside link so please copy it
copy and replace res.dz to the forder you install game before (may be my device/program files/nfsshift/ or my device/Storage Card/program files/nfsshift/)
and now you can run game faster, no need to OC
Tested on my HTC Diamond 1
Please thanks if it help!

Is this game resolution dependend? Will it run on 400 x 240 screen?

Awesome Start Honeycomb Replacement [WVGA ONLY] - Cab now included!

I'm on of those guys who hates the windows 6.5 Honeycomb menus. So after reading some points here I changed mine. Now you can to!
AwesomeStart is a modification to WM 6.5 that gives you a nice simple list that's fun and easy to use. Just install the cab and you're good to do.
Better yet, couple it with JSPA's Program Manager and my own Start Menu Sorter and you'll have the best menu in town.

Note this is for WVGA (480x800) devices running Windows Mobile 6.5 and supports both Portrait and Landscape.

Not Working...
I just tried your app on my TP2 CDMA with Mighty Mike 6.5 ROM and it does not appear to work unless there is something I'm missing.... but it seemed pretty strait forward...
Any ideas or comments?
Not working either
tried but does not work on my HD2
"installation unsuccessful"...strange!
Weird.. the only thing I can think of is for some reason the cab refuses to overwrite files in your windows directory. I'll attach just the source files. Just unzip them and copy the files in to the \Windows directory on your device.
Vga pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase!
zip file
So just copy this Unzipped file and put into -windows-?
Copied the contents of zip file and then did a soft reset but doesnt seem to work on the HD2
Doesn't work on HD2. Tried cab and tried zip to overwrite files. Neither work after soft reset. Plesse kindly fix as I SO want this.
Cant get it to work on my TP2 with HTC 6.5 rom either...?
Works great on my Rhodium, thanks!
Strange about the HD2. Can you see what StartMenu_GridScene files you have in your windows directory? Maybe they are by a different name.

nope, they are the same name, just verified. I can confirm it isnt working for my HD2 either

and can also confirm that the files in your cab are now in the windows folder. Backed up the old ones and the new ones have different modified dates

They are by the same name but there are also the following files which may or may not require modifying..
StartMenuCust_480x800.cpr
StartMenuCust_800x480.cpr
StartMenu_Global_800x480.cpr
StartMenu_Global_480x800.cpr
ok i figured it out guys, i attached a zip containing the 2 files that also have to be included. just copy these into your windows folder along with the cab in post 1. Please include them in a new cab (if you like of course).

Thank you mallman...confirmed working. And thanks to the OP
worked after adding those extra files, thanks!
Also, curious if we can have the ability to get 2 columns in the landscape, since Its a waste of space to have only 2-3 on one view, so its also an even amount (Same amount seen in portrait as landscape)
So it seems that some roms use StartMenuCust_xxxx to get the grid layouts but not all of them. I've rebuild the cab and included the duplicates. Give this a try and see if it installs and fixes the problem on the HD2's.

I've already been there and personally I didn't like it. You can edit the files yourself. They are pretty simple to work with. If you make them, feel free to PM me and I'll put them on the top of the page.

If there is enough demand I'll create them for a VGA device though I don't have one to test. I want to say someone else did already but when I searched I couldn't find it. I

Problem with gameboid- ROMs won't load...

Ok so I am having a problem with the gameboid app. I downloaded a bios file, and out of the 8 or so roms I downloaded, only one is working. When I tried to load the other ones, it said gba rom load failed, or something.
Anyone know why they won't load? Could it be I need a better bios file or would that make any difference at all? I don't think it could be that the roms just aren't supported, they're fairly popular games, like super mario advance and whatnot...
Thanks!

Could be a corrupt BIOS download? Try re-downloading the BIOS file, and then run it again.
Wouldn't a corrupt bios file mean none of the roms would work? One of the roms is working, but the rest all say failed. Anyone have that problem, if it is the bios file? Can anyone confirm that either redownloading the bios file, or getting a different one, would solve it?

Oh yeah, sorry my bad. I didn't see that bit!
You could try re-downloading I guess, it might make a difference. What does it say when you load the non-working ROMs?
It says "Load Rom failed. Please try another file." or something like that. so far only Pokemon Emerald worked out of like the other 8 roms I downloaded from CoolRom.com.
maybe I should try a different bios file. I'll try that and report back to see if that's the problem. I was hoping maybe someone was having the same problem, and tried a different bios file, and then it worked. If that happened to anyone, please could you post the site where you got the bios file from? Thanks!
Tried a different bios file, games still won't load, except for same one. Hmmmm.... anyone have any ideas of how to fix this? Or could it just be that the emulator isn't supporting these games? Should I try to download a different rom file for the games that aren't working?

Please Help
Ive tried everything to get the gameboid app to work. I dont know what to do, can you tell me exactly what you did to be able to play game boy advance games on your mytouch? I have the emulator i just dont know where exactly to put all of the files.
Well first, you should connect your phone to your PC, and make a folder for the games you have. Alternatively, you could download a file manager app from the market and use that to create a new folder.
Then, you need a gba bios file. You'll have to google that though. Once you found one, put it in the folder you created.
When you open the Gameboid app, you have to specify where the bios file is, so find it and select it. Then just search for where you put your ROM files, and select one, and you should be set. Keep in mind, you don't need to unzip the ROM files you download, just download, and put in the folder you created, that's it.
I am still having trouble though myself with the app. I don't know if it's my phone(mytouch slide), or the bios file I downloaded, or just the rom files I got, but alot of the games I tried didn't work. more than half of them actually. Can anyone confirm if they were able to play these games:
Classic NES - Super Mario Bros.
Castlevania - Circle of the Moon
Dragonball GT - Transformation
Mario Advanced 2 - Mario World
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Monster Rancher Advance 2
Shing Force - Resurrection of the Dark Dragon
Three StoogesTy the Tasmanian Tiger 2
Those are the ones I have so far that don't work. A couple just go to a blank screen for a second, and then it goes back to the ROM select menu, without any kind of message popping up, and most just don't load or do anything, and say Load Rom failed. Please try another file.
should I contact the developer about this issue, and see if he's working on updating the gameboid to be more compatible?

Oh, and also, you can use the Gameboid app to search for ROM files(games), just open it up, and press the menu button on your phone, and either select Search Roms, or the Rom Buddy option.
I'm having this problem with my epic as well. i would love a solution for this. its making me miss my psp.
Hi ti everybody.
I have to say that I tryed a few games ( other games, but I'll take a look to the listed ones ) and they all work except for one: Pokèmon Emerald ( Italian version ).
I've downloaded my bios over here: ww.emuparadise.org/biosfiles/bios.html
If you cold send me or post a link to the bios you use, I'll test it.
My phone is an Xperia X8.
EDIT: Ok, I've tested your emerald & it works.
Games I've played & Work are:
-2 in 1 Uno & Skip Bo(EUR)
-Dragon Ball Advance(EUR)
-Pkmn Fire red (ITA ver)
Games that don't work for me are:
-Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (EUR)
So, I'm wondering if you did the same dumb thing I did. Are the games you are trying to play for the classic game boy or the gameboy advance. Many of the roms out there don't always separate them if you download them as one large file. The only game I wanted was Metroid II, greatest game ever made btw, and I was having a really hard time playing it.
Since it was an original game boy game, I couldn't use gamboid, I have to use Super GBC Lite and it worked immediately without the need of any bios file.
Hopefully it's that simple for you
has anyone figured out what the main problem is yet? I have tried a few different BIOS files and that hasn't fixed the problem for my atrix. I'm looking for those italian versions of pokemon now to see if they will work
Loading BIOS failed. The valid BIOS file must be specified in the settings
Loading BIOS failed. The valid BIOS file must be specified in the settings I Have This Message When I Choose My BIOS And Play A Game .
rom file was the problem
guys, if it happen that you can play only even one game, that only means that there is no problem with your bios file but the rom it self because the proof is you can play other rom so for those roms that you can't play I suggest that you look for a different rom provider like loveroms.com emuparadise.com roms4droid.com and many others.. hope this helps...

[Q] psx4droid

HI all,
I've tried psx4droid recently,
download the scph1001.bin and set it..
now , when I'm trying to open FF Tactics.img, the apps goes back into the home screen..
I've tried several ideas like :
1. unecm the file ( there's some error : "no header found, not ecm file)
2.
convert it to eBoot.pbp using IceTea V1.3
after I convert it, I try to reopen it, and still the emulator is not working
PS : I'm using Asus Transformer TF101 Tegra with honeycomb 3.1
Thx
I usually have best luck with .bin or .iso images.
Also try the emulator FPSE its much better than psx4droid.
PSX4Droid basically doesn't work with anything Android 2.3 or newer from what I have tested. The developer also dropped support because he couldn't sell it anymore. Use FPSE instead.
oh i see, thank you for the information , I'll try moving to FPSE.

I have a ? about this, I have a Galaxy Note, and a few games I bought on my previous phone won't install. I edited the file to reflect I had a different phone. But neither will install. I contacted 1 of the developers and thy said the game (Pro Soccer Zombie) works with Note's. They asked if I was running a rom on my phone, which I am ICS Perfections #2. What exactly do I need to change in my prop build to get these 2 games I'm having troubles with to run.

Problem with JBed (Java emulator) when trying to run a java game.....

I have a Live with walkman running gingerbread but I have installed Cyanogenmod 7.2
The thing is that when I try to run a java game with this app (JBed), the following message appears:
"Prompt that the midlet is running out of memory".
I tried with different games but none seems to work. Is it really working this app? (JBed) Because I can't run any java game on my phone and I want to do it. Please help.
Try to convert it to apk. For tutorials u can googling. Good luck...

To the OP, this version of the app mentioned above does work. Strange though, I don't know why the other ones didn't.
One thing though, why is landscape mode in JBed all glitchy? I finally found a game that matches the resolution of my phone exactly, or, it would, if it were in landscape mode. It's stuck in portrait mode, and now I can't see more than half the game. And when I turn my phone to enter landscape mode, the image looks all weird and glitchy. This wouldn't be a problem for me if I could somehow upscale a game with a smaller screen size, but I can't seem to do that either.
