I cant seem to find this, but is it possible to flash modems on the 3e recovery on complete stock? I accidentally updated to 2.3.6 after bricking my phone and can not work with the UCKH6 modem. Thank you in advance!

No you can't flash modems on 3e recovery but you can use Odin or heimdall to flash it.

i followed the instructions on removing the yellow trangle on boot up, forgetting i had recently flashed miui. So yes i made the dumb decision of flashing the stock kernal through mobile odin on miui. any fix? i already tried flashing stock through odin... yes it will enter recovery and download mode.
When you say recovery do you mean stock recovery or cwm? You should be able to just flash miui again in recovery. Or you can just Odin(or flash in recovery) the siyah kernel and you should be good to go

Can you get back to MIUI? If so then just flash a new kernel in Mobile Odin.
Or go into download and use Odin on the PC and do it from there

i meant stock reoveryy... and i did try the odin method but as soon as i try to flash the i777 stock it says it failed im using odin 1.83 btw

Can you get into MIUI?

I already tried that. But ClockworkMod continues in the old version. Although saying that Odin was successfully completed, the ClockworkMod not change.

Awesome the link worked great. But it turns out my phone tested positive to the Emmc brick. So i now i don't want to flash anything lol.

You're device is fine. I have the same thing and I've flashed hundreds of times. You just have to know what you're flashing and understand the basics

I am familiar with flashing. I had the LG Optimus LTE before this and flashed quite a few roms, This phone however has me awfully confused. I have been researching all day. And so far i am under the understanding that the touch cwm are not good and the use the 4.0.1.5 recovery. But what i don't understand is how do you install roms without wiping data/factory reset through cwm? don't most roms require this? and isn't that what causes the superbrick? Sorry for sounding like a noob. but can you tell me how you do your flashing?

Just use a different kernel, like siyah (www.gokhanmoral.com and make it's for the s2 not s3). Then you can wipe data. Just didn't not be on 4.0.4, and have a samsung based kernel (the kernel dev should have info in the op). Once you're on a safe kernel you can flash whatever you want and wipe data.

Ok so i flash the kernel via odin? because my phone doesn't have cmw installed. Siyah-s2-v4.0.1.tar that is the kernel i am about to flash. Is it safe for my phone? also do i need to do a backup of my stock kernel?

Yeah, you should be able to flash through Odin. And you can flash back to stock by getting a stock firmware from www.sammobile.com and flash through Odin

So I did what you told me too. And went ahead and flashed a custom kernel (Siyah 4.0.1) and tried installing salman ics rom. and now i have a never ending boot loop.. any suggestions?

Did you wipe data when you installed it? It's usually highly recommended

Yes I wiped data, cache and dalvik cache. Couldn't get into recovery so i just re-flashed my firmware via odin. All is good now and successfully flashed cm9 with no issues. Must have been a bug in the rom.

I'd say the best thing to do would be to download a stock ROM from sammobile.com or CheckFUS for PC. This will wipe your phone completely, I know you want a flashable stock recovery, I've never seen one. The stock ROM will remove what I assume you have is CWM.

You have three options:
1. Flash any ICS 4.0.4 firmware with stock recovery here:wanamlite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=11
Don't flash 4.0.3 firmwares, those have CWM recovery.
2. Flash back your stock kernel, via mobile Odin on your phone
3. Flash stock firmware via Odin

You also can't install Stock ROMs with stock recovery, neither with CWM...
You'll need Odin.
Mobile ODIN is the only choice...
Also were you referring to stock ICS or Custom ROMs???
If its custom ROMs then you can directly flash using CWM...
But If stock one then you need Odin....else use kies to update..
