Does anybody have a link to the new ics ruu? I can't boot any ics build by flashing through any recovery. I understand the risks involved and don't care lol.

There is no RUU for ICS since it's a leak. Are you flashing an ICS kernel along with the ROM?

Ya flashing kernel. It's something seriously weird with my phone. It's a replacement. The one it replaced booted ics fine. I've been trying to get it on this phone for weeks to no avail. I'm not a noob, I've tried every method besides ruu

The leaked RUU is watermarked and the radios weren't working right away. Its out there for you to find , but I don't think you'll want to install!
The latest RUU isn't really bootable, it took some massaging from the devs last night to get a workable image out.

you have to use the bamf ICS-sense4 kernel or it wont boot
also, there are no boot animations, so it sits on the HTC screen for about 5 min before booting. if you flash the sense 4 ICS leak without that kernel on his site, you wont be able to boot.

I flash the roms in recovery after wiping everything, then flash the boot.IMG with fastboot, or via bootloader, then it sits on the 4g boot animation screen for as long as 45 minutes and does nothing. I can flash whatever gingerbread Rom I want, but ics never boots. I have another thread in general with a logcat of an attempted boot. I can revert from the ruu if I need to, and scrosler posted flashable fixes for it.

Presumably the OP wants something that s/he can put on the phone to get it working and from what I understand the leaks aren't stable/functional as they are until the devs get to work on them, as others have now stated above. There are no ICS RUUs listed in the RUU thread.

can you elaborate on the watermarked claim? We're not talking about a swiped dvd screener here....
The builds, as they are obtianed from htc have a watermark that says "confidential" on every screen on the phone. As for me, I believe I have some recovery problem on my phone where ics will not boot at all using the traditional method of flash zip in recovery, then kernel in fastboot. It's not me making a noob mistake as most seem to think. They're is no concievable reason why it doesn't boot, yet it won't. My only hope to upgrade is to flash an ruu, then reflash a recovery and apply scroslers fixes. So I'm looking for a complete ics ruu. Preferably the newest one

Have you tried to flash the kernel and then install the rom? Go snag Bamf .8 and his new sense 1.5 kernal from his webpage. First, reboot into fastboot (so your phone shows fastboot usb.) Then extract the boot image from the ph98 file and use cleanflash tool to flash the boot image. Then boot back into recovery from bootloader, wipe and then flash the rom.
When I first went from GB to ICS IO had the same exact issue and found that if I flashed the kernel PRIOR to flashing the rom, I would end up with less issues.

The leaks have this watermark on all screens that have to be removed. In its current state, the current leaked RUU can not be flashed and work on a non-dev phone. It takes some heavy modifying to work correctly.
The leaks do boot up just fine. The first leak from 2 months ago would boot fine but would crash due to sound and phone calls. This was corrected. Similar issues have plagued the newer leaks. It is because we can't flash the new firmware that comes with them since we don't have S-OFF. These leaks wouldn't require much modification to be stabilized if we had S-OFF. But now the changes are routine for the devs so they know what needs to be done. This is also the reason data arrows don't work.
Which recovery are you using? My phone does the same thing if I use a newer amon ra than 3.10.

Only time I have any trouble is switching from Gingerbread to ICS . I have had similar issue as you have with it sitting on the 4g logo. The work around for me was to flash the original ICS rom and kernel such as Nil's Business ICS 1.3 , then I am able to flash the other ICS roms without issue including the new Bamf 0.9 . Might want to try that ? To go back to gingerbread , I usually flash the stock , unsecured 2.011xxx kernel .

Coming from a Samsung Vibrant which is easy to root and flash roms.
Why are the new HTC devices so difficult, I mean I've been on my samsung for two and half years so now that I finally came back to HTC after 4 years everything seems like a pain in the butt to do. I have to unlock the bootloader in order to root, then I have to unlock s-off which I heard stands for security on/off yet I still don't understand it and to do that I need to do some wire trick that is still really not explained that well, and all this so I can flash a custom rom.
I'm curious though as to how this s-off method was recently released how have people used and created other roms if this was the first s off method?
I apologize if I come off sounding like a noob, but HTC is different from what I remembered on the G1 and myTouch 3G.

Hey guys. Sorry if this is too noob of me but after some searching, I cant seem to tell what firmware I am on.
I am S-On and running Slimrom but I understand that I could be running GB or ICS firmware under this, correct?
Is there anyone out there that could let me know how I can tell what FW I am running? Any help appreciated. Thanks
Did you ever flash any of the ICS ruu files? If not then you're on GB firmware.
Also, for future reference, this belongs in q and a or general..not development. This section is only for posting rims,kernels,etc..not questions

That would be the OS build version, not the firmware version. You need to boot into the bootloader and get the version from it. You can also verify the radio versions under Settings, About Phone, Software Information, More.

Boot into bootloader.. pull battery, hold volume down and power ..... you are interested in hboot and radios.
GB: hboot 2.11 and radios 0.95...something.
ICS: hboot 2.25 radios 1.22.10.04214 and 1.22.10.0424r
Again, if you never flashed an ICS ruu its unlikely you'll see the ICS numbers and therefore on GB firmware.
OK. It seems the hboot is what you say is an ics one but the radios are not. Sorry for the Mr.blurrycam pic.

You must have installed the ICS hboot when you s-off'd the phone. Since you're s-off, you don't need to do the whole ICS RUU, you can just flash whatever version of the firmware/radios you want, follow the directions here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614366
Nandroid back up beforehand just in case.

Its a judgement call. I got tired of having to flash the GB patch each time I flashed a new ICS Rom so I went ahead and flashed the RUU. I actually just flashed the firmware first but found I had data issues, so I went to the full RUU, did a factory reset immediately after, then flashed AmonRA and my favorite Rom (Newts One XXX )
I had flashed the ICS Ruu a while back but went back to GB Ruu at some point because I wanted to see about battery differences. (gotta be S-Off to go back) I did eventually go back to ICS as described above though.
Ok here are the steps I have taken since acquiring my HTC Rezound. I checked and noticed that it was running ICS when I first received it. I then used AIO kit to unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP recovery, and gain root access. I was a bit impatient and decided to skip on reading around on how to use adb( I still lack knowledge on using) to gain S-off. I then began flashing roms. While I have not experienced any extraordinary issues since doing this, I have noticed that life is a lot easier being S-off. I would like to know if I can go S-off from these aforementioned steps, or do I need to revert everything I have done up to this point and start over or what. By the way, I was an idiot and accidentally deleted my stock rom off the sd card so I really have nothing to restore other than the roms I have been running which have all been ics roms. I've read a lot of different information on this and am not sure what to do. Any help in getting me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

The part i need help with:
i need help getting this packaged to be redistributable, also automaticly activation and forced configuring of the wp notifications on first boot
Requires:
4ext recovery to flash (because its in backup format)
hboot 1.58
to install as is:
extract the contents into your clockworkmod/backup/ folder and restore it as though it was a backup... because it is a backup, I am not terribly great with linux yet so all development was done on my phone
on first boot launch wp notifications to configure notifications

You might want to take the recovery.img and wimax.serial#.img out of your nandroid backup. The recovery isn't needed and the wimax backup contains your serial number and keys, although I don't they are usable on another phone. Those lines need to be removed from nandroid.md5 file as well.

If it's a cwm aka. IMG file use this
If it 4Ext just extract it with winrar put the boot in the same folder the system folders is in then take the META-INF folder out of the stock base rom and put in the same folder with the boot and system
It would look like this
System
Boot
META-INF
And highlight it all and add to archive with win RAR and zip it and
boom it should boot

Try enabling smart flash in the settings for 4EXT recovery. Sounds like you're s-on. Usually those things won't work if the kernel doesn't flash correctly.

Edit
I'm thinking if I should flash the kernel that you have linked, couse I just flashed the Rom alone, and then when I couldn't connect I did 3 clean installs everytime with different kernels

Hey I just wanted to make a list of things I have confirmed to be interchangeable between the ATT HTC One and International HTC One. I have yet to test bootloader.
1. System
2. Boot.img
3. Recovery.
4. Radio
Also all of these can be flashed in recovery if you are unlocked with a custom recovery

i agree completely....XDA is so bloated already with the amount of devices, we REALLY need to combine these two, sooner than later.
To be honest, i will most likely only be following the international thread if we do keep them separate. The development over there is exploding....i usually did the same with my Inspire 4G and the Desire HD forums....
Ya I follow them. Hell they will get 4.2.2 first.

wait ,
you were able to flash the firmware.zip for 1.29.401.12
????
Edit nm , removed link also , so people dont download and install it.
I saw your post on the radio firmware and see that you installed it from that. Works great too.

What files are the "system" you are talking about ? I thought we still needed correct CID to flash the firmware package updates? I'm talking about the firmware updates like Mike1986 posted..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823 This would be an entire firmware update.. at least all the important stuff. I assume we can flash it all now?
As far as radios...for ATT guys and gals if you are on Build 1.26.502.10 Then you already have the same radio. Radio 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01L
If you are on Build 1.26.502.6 Then you have the older radio. Radio 4A.13.3231.20_10.30.1131.05L and you may benefit from updating.
My phone shipped from ATT with the latest firmware. So the point is Check your radio version before flashing.. You might not need it.
Is there any other reading on this topic?
Or is it as simple as just treating the AT&T version like the international and just flashing whatever kernels/recoveries/roms we please?
If there is no blood offering needed, the AT&T version gains much more dev support and makes it much more attractive...
Sorry if I took any info wrongly, but it almost seems to good to be true in my mind.

So far everything is working great on the ATT phones. No telling what future firmware will hold but so far we are good to go.

They're the same internal development codename. TMOUS, EMEA LTE, and ATT USA are all M7_UL in the bootloader, as far as HTC is concerned, they're the same phones with different radio bands enabled and disabled.
How do we file a petition to join the forums? It should be combined. In the past, it made sense to keep the forums separated.
Has anyone else noticed that a reboot brings back all uninstalled bloatware back...? And also any change in system (like using AdFree for changing host files are reverted back.
Any input?

Doesn't the TWRP Recovery take care of that with the HTC Dumlock?
What is different from HTC One and One X, One X had no problem with this.

This ^ Any changes made to /system/ while booted will be reverted upon reboot. For anything to stick it needs to be added/removed via recovery (while not booted). Or (if still on the stock kernel, as I assume most custom kernel's already do this), you can do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230341

From what I understand TWRP's Dumlock is for flashing kernel's through recovery. Previous HTC Bootloaders on other devices would not allow flashing to the boot partition through recovery, so fastboot flashing boot.img was necessary unless you were s-off. Dumlock circumvented this. From what I've read, Dumlock is not necessary on our devices, as our current bootloader does not block the flashing of the boot partition from recovery (as long as your dev/chef includes the necessary scripting for the kernel/boot.img to be flashed during the ROM install). Keep in mind that any OTA could carry a new bootloader that will break this, so tread cautiously..
I cannot find it
I cannot find it...does anyone know where i can find the factory rom for AT&T i didn't do a backup and need to return the phone..
