Hey guys. Sorry if this is too noob of me but after some searching, I cant seem to tell what firmware I am on.
I am S-On and running Slimrom but I understand that I could be running GB or ICS firmware under this, correct?
Is there anyone out there that could let me know how I can tell what FW I am running? Any help appreciated. Thanks
Did you ever flash any of the ICS ruu files? If not then you're on GB firmware.
Also, for future reference, this belongs in q and a or general..not development. This section is only for posting rims,kernels,etc..not questions

That would be the OS build version, not the firmware version. You need to boot into the bootloader and get the version from it. You can also verify the radio versions under Settings, About Phone, Software Information, More.

Boot into bootloader.. pull battery, hold volume down and power ..... you are interested in hboot and radios.
GB: hboot 2.11 and radios 0.95...something.
ICS: hboot 2.25 radios 1.22.10.04214 and 1.22.10.0424r
Again, if you never flashed an ICS ruu its unlikely you'll see the ICS numbers and therefore on GB firmware.
OK. It seems the hboot is what you say is an ics one but the radios are not. Sorry for the Mr.blurrycam pic.
My bootloader is unlocked and I am S-off. I am not concerned with data loss as this phone has nothing on it. Can I flash the latest ics leak ruu in boot the way my phone is currently unlocked and s-off?

You must have installed the ICS hboot when you s-off'd the phone. Since you're s-off, you don't need to do the whole ICS RUU, you can just flash whatever version of the firmware/radios you want, follow the directions here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614366
Nandroid back up beforehand just in case.

It doesn't matter weather your on gingerbread or 4.0 ics as long as your rooted and running a custom rom everything is still the same and working 100% functional right? Im waiting for official ics release to switch from gb. I do want a peice of the new radio. Little anxious for it. - I'm still on stock kernel and radio. Any thoughts?

Its a judgement call. I got tired of having to flash the GB patch each time I flashed a new ICS Rom so I went ahead and flashed the RUU. I actually just flashed the firmware first but found I had data issues, so I went to the full RUU, did a factory reset immediately after, then flashed AmonRA and my favorite Rom (Newts One XXX )
I had flashed the ICS Ruu a while back but went back to GB Ruu at some point because I wanted to see about battery differences. (gotta be S-Off to go back) I did eventually go back to ICS as described above though.

Your Baseband version should show:
0.95.00.1118r, 0.95.00.1223r
if you have the new radios. They will end in 13 and 17 I believe if they are the old ones.

I flashed my phone with "[ROM] Stock Rooted OTA ROM w/ Firmware" From http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1467329 Here and so far so good I did this is steps
1 Wiped my phone clean
2 Flashed the "[ROM] Stock Rooted OTA ROM w/ Firmware" when it rebooted to fastboot I re-locked my bootloader.
3 Let it flash the hboot and the radio and recovery stuff.
4 Then I rebooted let the phone come to a full boot when to settings and power and shut off fast boot. Then I went to files and deleted the PHxxx.zip file on my sd card.
5 re unlocked via HTCdev.com
6 Rebooted into fastboot and reflashed the [Recovery] Amon Ra style vigor the
Latest version 3.13.
7 Flashed [ROM] - 1/28 - CleanROM GBE 1.6 - Base: OTA 2.01.605.11.
8 My phone just rocks now baseband version's is now 0.95.00.1118r, 095.00.1123r
Battery Is great 90%+ after 4 hours off the plug SO MUCH BETTER BEFOR THAT I WAS AT 80% within the 1st hour.
Signal is also better I am out in no mans land NH and I only get 1 bar max most of the time Today 2 bars faster 3g speeds.
Hope this helps anyone looking to update there radio.

Possibly, using your method, but one should not be able to flash your PHzip without relocking according to someone's post on the first or second page of your thread. So anyone using your method should have had to lock. So turn that frown upside down.
Also, I first did the OTA by flashing stock kernel, restoring my stock rooted nand and flashing stock recovery. Then I accepted the OTA from VZW without relocking and got the new baseband. I think I got everything. I then used your method to redo it since I got concerned about not relocking.

The latest RUU isn't really bootable, it took some massaging from the devs last night to get a workable image out.

you have to use the bamf ICS-sense4 kernel or it wont boot
also, there are no boot animations, so it sits on the HTC screen for about 5 min before booting. if you flash the sense 4 ICS leak without that kernel on his site, you wont be able to boot.

I flash the roms in recovery after wiping everything, then flash the boot.IMG with fastboot, or via bootloader, then it sits on the 4g boot animation screen for as long as 45 minutes and does nothing. I can flash whatever gingerbread Rom I want, but ics never boots. I have another thread in general with a logcat of an attempted boot. I can revert from the ruu if I need to, and scrosler posted flashable fixes for it.

Presumably the OP wants something that s/he can put on the phone to get it working and from what I understand the leaks aren't stable/functional as they are until the devs get to work on them, as others have now stated above. There are no ICS RUUs listed in the RUU thread.

can you elaborate on the watermarked claim? We're not talking about a swiped dvd screener here....
The builds, as they are obtianed from htc have a watermark that says "confidential" on every screen on the phone. As for me, I believe I have some recovery problem on my phone where ics will not boot at all using the traditional method of flash zip in recovery, then kernel in fastboot. It's not me making a noob mistake as most seem to think. They're is no concievable reason why it doesn't boot, yet it won't. My only hope to upgrade is to flash an ruu, then reflash a recovery and apply scroslers fixes. So I'm looking for a complete ics ruu. Preferably the newest one

Have you tried to flash the kernel and then install the rom? Go snag Bamf .8 and his new sense 1.5 kernal from his webpage. First, reboot into fastboot (so your phone shows fastboot usb.) Then extract the boot image from the ph98 file and use cleanflash tool to flash the boot image. Then boot back into recovery from bootloader, wipe and then flash the rom.
When I first went from GB to ICS IO had the same exact issue and found that if I flashed the kernel PRIOR to flashing the rom, I would end up with less issues.

The leaks have this watermark on all screens that have to be removed. In its current state, the current leaked RUU can not be flashed and work on a non-dev phone. It takes some heavy modifying to work correctly.
The leaks do boot up just fine. The first leak from 2 months ago would boot fine but would crash due to sound and phone calls. This was corrected. Similar issues have plagued the newer leaks. It is because we can't flash the new firmware that comes with them since we don't have S-OFF. These leaks wouldn't require much modification to be stabilized if we had S-OFF. But now the changes are routine for the devs so they know what needs to be done. This is also the reason data arrows don't work.
Which recovery are you using? My phone does the same thing if I use a newer amon ra than 3.10.

Only time I have any trouble is switching from Gingerbread to ICS . I have had similar issue as you have with it sitting on the 4g logo. The work around for me was to flash the original ICS rom and kernel such as Nil's Business ICS 1.3 , then I am able to flash the other ICS roms without issue including the new Bamf 0.9 . Might want to try that ? To go back to gingerbread , I usually flash the stock , unsecured 2.011xxx kernel .

I checked the TMo OTA, and do not see an image named radio.IMG anywhere in it either. Could it have a different IMG name?
I am interested in seeing that I have updated ICS Radio, as I tried the ICS OTA in ROM zip format and everything worked but the WiFi and am thinking the Radio might be the issue.
Update:
In checking further, the radio in the May5 OTA Development thread appears to have the same radio I have. I do not remember doing anything that would have updated the radio previously. Was the May 21 OTA actually different from the May 5th Thread?
Also what is the version number for the latest Radio?

It may be in yours, but the description of the OTA indicates the radio version is Radio_1.14.550L.17D C_30.78.550L.15. That is the one I see in my settings.
Again, I never flashed anything that I remember that had an updates ICS Radio, so was wondering if there is a new (ICS) radio different from the abov.

I am missing something here. I see a boot.IMG not a radio.IMG
Let's cut to the chase:
1. What is the version number of the (latest) ICS radio?
2. Where can it be found?
My phone says.
1.14.550L.17DC_30.78.550L.15D
Which is from the OTA t-mob as far as I understand.

I had that one already.
I bit the bullet and reverted to stock GB and got the OTA. It has the same radio, but the WiFi now works OK. PS - I get 21 mb/s download speed on TMo network now - maybe the OTA had additional components.
Can anyone tell us what the radio reads as for the Telus OTA?
Ok here are the steps I have taken since acquiring my HTC Rezound. I checked and noticed that it was running ICS when I first received it. I then used AIO kit to unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP recovery, and gain root access. I was a bit impatient and decided to skip on reading around on how to use adb( I still lack knowledge on using) to gain S-off. I then began flashing roms. While I have not experienced any extraordinary issues since doing this, I have noticed that life is a lot easier being S-off. I would like to know if I can go S-off from these aforementioned steps, or do I need to revert everything I have done up to this point and start over or what. By the way, I was an idiot and accidentally deleted my stock rom off the sd card so I really have nothing to restore other than the roms I have been running which have all been ics roms. I've read a lot of different information on this and am not sure what to do. Any help in getting me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Just run an ruu that will bring you back to stock so you can s off.
Fyi, I did s off while running viperrez 1.0.3
It's recommended to be stock but not necessarily required

Anything after 3.14.605.5 will work, for example the global ruu is 4.03.605.something. I would suggest the global as it is the latest

Got it downloaded and plan to run it tomorrow. Just wanted to ask one more question before I do.... On the site it states that this will not work if you used the HTC Bootloader Unlock tool. Does this entail the method I used to unlock my bootloader?? Sorry if I sound so cautious, just do not want accidentally brick my phone or to hear my wife's crap if something unfixable happens.

We've all used HTCDev unlock. All that means is that you will have to re lock
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Re-lock
Run RUU
Unlock
Flash Amon-Ra recovery
Root stock ROM (flash SuperSU .zip via recovery) or flash whatever ROM you want.
Perform S-Off procedure

it IS required to be stock or else you could hard brick it.
Finally S-Off
It took some vigorous reading and patience, but I finally got it. Thanks to everyone who pointed me in the right direction.

So you can't just restore a unit from a nandroid backup (running the stock ROM) and you actually have to find a RUU to flash the phone?

To get LOCKED status, by resetting unlock flag you must be s-off.
I am getting Error 155 when running this with unlocked boot loader s-on, custom recovery and customer tmobile stock rom. ANy suggestions? I downloaded again.

I think no need to have stock recovery to run RUU, you only need to have relocked bootloader to run RUU, Or maybe relocking the bootloader automatically installs the stock recovery..... Correct me if i am wrong please?
