To get LOCKED status, by resetting unlock flag you must be s-off.
I am getting Error 155 when running this with unlocked boot loader s-on, custom recovery and customer tmobile stock rom. ANy suggestions? I downloaded again.

I think no need to have stock recovery to run RUU, you only need to have relocked bootloader to run RUU, Or maybe relocking the bootloader automatically installs the stock recovery..... Correct me if i am wrong please?

If not looking to go back to "stock" condition. but only to try the ROM, is there any reason to relock the bootloader first?
thats the only way to do it just wait i will have rom up towmmarow im at school right now
I've tried installing this via hboot both unlocked and relocked and it doesn't actually do anything. it checks the image then just goes back to hboot. Any Idea what I'm doing wrong?
you have to fastboot oem locked and externel sdcard if that doesnt work then its a bad download
Hmm, not sure what you mean but I've followed the relock process and put the IMG on my external SD as before unlocking as directed. it seems others are having the same issue specifically with the Telus one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19423356#post19423356
then im not sure but tmous ones work
Not sure if this image will help you but xboder is right on how to flash it, when I got this ROM my phone was unlooked and I had s-off but I flashed it on my original telus ROM, maybe that's a requirement? Sorry I can't be of any help to you.

Hey guys. Sorry if this is too noob of me but after some searching, I cant seem to tell what firmware I am on.
I am S-On and running Slimrom but I understand that I could be running GB or ICS firmware under this, correct?
Is there anyone out there that could let me know how I can tell what FW I am running? Any help appreciated. Thanks
Did you ever flash any of the ICS ruu files? If not then you're on GB firmware.
Also, for future reference, this belongs in q and a or general..not development. This section is only for posting rims,kernels,etc..not questions

That would be the OS build version, not the firmware version. You need to boot into the bootloader and get the version from it. You can also verify the radio versions under Settings, About Phone, Software Information, More.

Boot into bootloader.. pull battery, hold volume down and power ..... you are interested in hboot and radios.
GB: hboot 2.11 and radios 0.95...something.
ICS: hboot 2.25 radios 1.22.10.04214 and 1.22.10.0424r
Again, if you never flashed an ICS ruu its unlikely you'll see the ICS numbers and therefore on GB firmware.
OK. It seems the hboot is what you say is an ics one but the radios are not. Sorry for the Mr.blurrycam pic.
My bootloader is unlocked and I am S-off. I am not concerned with data loss as this phone has nothing on it. Can I flash the latest ics leak ruu in boot the way my phone is currently unlocked and s-off?

You must have installed the ICS hboot when you s-off'd the phone. Since you're s-off, you don't need to do the whole ICS RUU, you can just flash whatever version of the firmware/radios you want, follow the directions here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614366
Nandroid back up beforehand just in case.

It doesn't matter weather your on gingerbread or 4.0 ics as long as your rooted and running a custom rom everything is still the same and working 100% functional right? Its a judgement call. I got tired of having to flash the GB patch each time I flashed a new ICS Rom so I went ahead and flashed the RUU. I actually just flashed the firmware first but found I had data issues, so I went to the full RUU, did a factory reset immediately after, then flashed AmonRA and my favorite Rom (Newts One XXX )
I had flashed the ICS Ruu a while back but went back to GB Ruu at some point because I wanted to see about battery differences. (gotta be S-Off to go back) I did eventually go back to ICS as described above though.
Ok here are the steps I have taken since acquiring my HTC Rezound. I checked and noticed that it was running ICS when I first received it. I then used AIO kit to unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP recovery, and gain root access. I was a bit impatient and decided to skip on reading around on how to use adb( I still lack knowledge on using) to gain S-off. I then began flashing roms. While I have not experienced any extraordinary issues since doing this, I have noticed that life is a lot easier being S-off. I would like to know if I can go S-off from these aforementioned steps, or do I need to revert everything I have done up to this point and start over or what. By the way, I was an idiot and accidentally deleted my stock rom off the sd card so I really have nothing to restore other than the roms I have been running which have all been ics roms. I've read a lot of different information on this and am not sure what to do. Any help in getting me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Don't think so the RUU will tell you that you have the wrong version and can't go back. Its forward only. The other issue is we don't have DEV Unlock from HTC. S-Off wouldn't be a big deal if we had official unlock from HTC that's were we are getting screwed. Otherwise I would flash to stock, update, use HTC Unlock then pull the ROM, but we can't do that here.
The devs will work magic soon... no rush
When I get home tonight(in 5 hours) I'll flash it and try to unlock.. But i am sure within the hours someone will have already done that and reported

The current unlock method won't work after the update.

Don't flash it. The hboot will relock. Wait for devs like me to put out a stock ROM patched before trying..

I see... Oh well...one day there will be a way. Anyone think the new boot will still have system write protection?

I know someone will beat me to it, but I'll be making a flashable .zip tonight after school for rooted users. It won't have some of the stuff, but we won't lose unlock/root.
There are some landscape pics in there I wonder if it brings landscape to the home screens/launcher

Am I correct in saying the radio changes can't be flashed because we are S-off?
I'm virtuous to hear what changes Dsb finds in the kernel that he can use.

I wish I was S-OFF but I'm still S-On which for this stuff can be a setback. Like I've been saying its HTCs Dev Unlock that is screwing us/me. Damn you Verizon and HTC.
We should still be able to flash the radios but we need someone to make us a update.zip. correct me if I'm wrong but they should be signed by HTC and if prepared correctly should be flashable.
Edit:
I'm not sure that our hboot looks for an update.zip.

I had some serious phone problems so I relocked, and ran the RUU. Now I am unable to get unlocked again, and found nothing listed so far that worked. Has anyone been able to unlock bootloader after running the full ruu.exe?
Thanks,
Matt
Most likely the hboot was updated. So you'll need to follow the HTCDev Unlock tools again to 're-unlock your device.

Maybe Verizon is locking the phone with the update

Thanks for the replies.
Rumrunner does not give me unlocked bootloader. It says Relocked (run from Windows and Ubuntu)
HTCDEV gives me this error:
We're sorry, but it appears your attempt to unlock the bootloader on this device has failed. This could be caused by several factors including simple errors in the entry of the unlock token, problems with your device, or a lack of manufacturer support for the unlocking process. Please see the specific error code listed below, and try again if necessary.
Error Code: 160.
Error Reason: MID Not Allowed.
I've run both from Windows and Ubuntu
When I manually use the get_token command I get a different token than when I use either the AIO, or WinDroid Programs.
CID2 doesn't work.
I'm just too close to it. Anyone got any other ideas?
Thanks,
Matt

If I read this correctly it just changed the label on the bootloader display. If I'm wrong about that please let me know. I've actually got a locked boot that I cannot unlock. I'm sure there is some way to unlock it, but I'm not seeing it right now.
I really appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Matt
I am not 100 percent sure but I think if u are s off flashing the query zip and the unlock zip will unlock you. hope I am reading it right.
That is not for the HTC DNA, I do not recommend flashing those as they may seriously damage the bootloader.
If you have an Unlock_code.bin file you can always use that to unlock the bootloader or it you are S-OFF still you could try
fastboot oem unlock (will wipe all data from device)
Re-Run rumrunner or ask for support in their thread (the whole point of rumrunner was to unlock the bootloader and give you S-off)
Shouldnt this be in the Q&A being that it isnt development related?

I can't get the unlock code. I posted the error in an earlier message. I have so far been unable to go use commands to manually update the bootloader with the one included in rumrunner. I'll fill with it more tomorrow. Thanks again everyone for the help.

If you still have the original Unlock_code.bin, you could try unlocking with that. I hope you get it sorted. I wouldn't want you to miss out on a rom I'm releasing soon.

wonderful ... you already have the sense 5.5 android 4.4 ROM!!,
please share some of this work!:fingers-crossed:
So this version, is this the new software for the OTA 4.2.2 update? I ask this as I was forced to get a replacement phone, Verizon check jacked it up, so upon starting up the new phone it tries to to run the OTA update with no option to delay it. I just want to make sure I can still S-OFF my phone after this update. I want to test the phone first as factory to make sure it's good before going back to my CM11 ROM.
