I was removing some things from my rooted phone (primary the ATT bloatware, but also some other apps that I never use such as memo, diary, etc). At first, I removed the Clock application, thinking that I use Beautiful Widgets for a clock anyway. Then I realized that you must have that app in order to set the alarm clock. I put the apk back in /system/app BUT, I need to recreate the icon in my app drawer. (launcher is TouchWiz) Can anyone please tell me how to create an icon shortcut back to the program? Thanks so much

Is it possible to hide apps in touchwiz application draw like go launcher? Thanks.
I don't think this is possible in the default TwLauncher.
What I do to 'hide' the application (from the drawer) is to freeze them with Titanium Backup, but that way you will not be able to launch it unless you unfreeze the application first, so you cannot use it if you, for example, want the program on the homescreen but not in the drawer. You could also make a folder in your drawer and put all the unwanted/unused icons in there, that way you only use up one icon space.
I was able to move these locked apps/icons which appear on all home screens on my SGS1, and now on the SGS2, when i try and edit the home screen(s), the phone wont let me change these.
Ive downloaded Handscent SMS which i want to use to completely replace the default messages app, so in a root explorer program just renamed the Mms.apk application to a ,bak, in doing that, it removed the messages icon from this locked menu so now i can only see PHONE/CONTACTS/APPLICATION icons and still cant add or edit anything...can someone help with this? Just wanna throw the HANDSCENT SMS icon in there...

If you're talking about the four bottom icons with the app drawer icon at the far right then you can change it quite easily. Just open the app drawer, hit menu then edit. You can drag and move whatever you'd like to the bottom area. Home/Applications must stay though.
Is there any way of changing the icons, renanming them or just pointing the existing icon to another application?
I am trying to keep the stock messaging icon but open Go SMS Pro with it instead?
TIA
if use buildin sense launcher it got only 6 icons deducted clock space
Im wondering if there are any application or any method can make desktop icon smaller while using sense UI as launcher, currently i can only use other custom launcher to make it smaller, cause i want to put more app on desktop, but the problem is so many wiget are combined with sense UI, so if i use other launcher instead of genuine stock launcher those wiget will be extincted
Hi,
you can add app icons to other homescreens, or you can add a folder to youz homescreen and add apps to the folder.
Hi,
i just stumbled upon multicon, which lets you place 4 icons in the place of which now is 1 icon. Have a look at it:

I am currently running the stock sense 2.1 Rom rooted, but I would like to edit the icons through Desktop Visualizer. I have figured out have to accomplish this, but I have run into another problem at the end. I change the icons for "messages" and "mail" on my desktop, but when a new message or new mail comes in, the new icons do not show that there are new items (Like the stock ones do by using a superscript "1") Is there any way to make this work without installing a home launcher?

I'm pretty certain its using the stock AOSP lock screen, but the enable widgets option and add widgets screen are missing. If I long press on the one widget that's there (Lenovo's clock widget), the arrange widgets screen or whatever its called comes up, but there's only one widget on it (the clock) and no plus button. Is there any way I can force enable this? Something in build.prop, or maybe an xposed module (I have xposed framework installed)? This isn't a huge issue, the music and alarm widgets show up when their associated apps are being used, but it would be nice to replace the music and clock widgets with CyanogenMod cLock and Apollo (I copied the APKs off of another tablet running CM11 from /system/apps and installed them on the Lenovo, they work great so far even though its running the stock ROM), or be able to swipe through my emails and calendar events without unlocking the screen. I won't bother asking for a Cyanogen lock screen apk to replace the stock lock screen, since I searched through the system files and Google and can't find evidence that such a thing exists, but it would be awesome if it was floating around somewhere.
