They've added a section for the 8125/HTC Wizard!! FINALLY!
All they have at the moment is a swivel clip holster, but hopefully they'll have their windshield mounted cradles too, that's what i really want..

sweeeet... ive been looking for one of these for forever. i hate those leather cases that add bulk to the device, this just sits snugly holding your phone or on your waist. nice that it protects the screen too, just how i wanted it.
thanks!!
One issue
Let me know if you get one. I know the Verizon version of the wizard came with a holster like this one. Problem is, whenever I took it out of the holster the clip on top brushed against the MiniSD and it popped out like toast from a toaster. Hopefully this wont happen with this one.
Phillyjaq
I have one that I posted pictures of over at howardforums.com. It works fine. I havent had the "toaster" situation happen yet.
I just purchased this case. I was looking for a case that:
- was as thin as possible because the phone is already pretty thick
- was easy to access since the OEM case is so clunky
- had a flexible belt clip, i.e., opens and swivels. I found the static clip on the OEM case difficult to attach
- protected the screen from bumps and scratches
Here are the pluses:
+ clean, simple design
+ sturdy plastic with an excellent belt clip design. The clip is large and easy to use. It's built with a sturdy metal spring and can pivot. The pivot gives a nice solid click when it moves and can be adjusted vertically, horizontally or a couple of clicks in between.
+ easy to use two-handed. The top clip is spring-loaded and very secure. I have no concern that the phone will pop out of the case.
+ reasonable price $30. I originally wanted a slip case, but some of the leather ones out there were going for $50 bucks. Ouch!
And the minuses (in order of irritation):
- not easy to use one-handed. The problem is the location of the power switch and memory card on the phone. I find it too easy to bump the power switch with the top clip while I'm loading and unloading the phone. This creates some interesting results since it's also easy to hit other buttons on the way to and from the case. Also, I've had the phone glitch because the clip hit the memory card. This is a little scary because I don't want to ruin the card or the slot hardware.
- some flashing on the mold seam on the top clip. This was solved with some sandpaper. Not a big deal, but the flashing was sharp and I kept hitting it as I loaded and unloaded the phone.
Overall, I would rate the case as pretty good but not perfect. If I was less clumsy, maybe it would be a good one-handed case, but two-handed is okay for me. The size is right and the belt clip is great.
Sorry for the potentially silly question, but this should fit the MDA right?
yes mda fits but 30$ is redicilous..wait for them to be on ebay for 4.99 plus 1 penny shipping.. just like the car chargers

It's not $5, but there is some savings. I believe this is direct from Seidio. I ordered it without any hesitation. I've been looking for a holster.

Just received mine yesterday from this eBay seller. Yes, it is the Seido brand. This clip is exactly what I was looking for. I was a little concerned about clipping in and out. I guess I missed it in one of the above posts, but the top bracket is hinged, which allows you to hold it up, place the phone in the bottom brackets and let the top bracket down to hold it in. I found it very easy to do one handed after about 5 minutes of playing with it. Very good product.....IMHO
I can't say I've yet mastered the one-handed insert and remove processes. I'm giving it a couple more days before I request a refund. Do you have any hints regarding how you manage to use this holster with just one hand? I also find the top clip regularly hits either the power button, the SD card, or both. Not an optimal design at all.
Thank you.

i had mine for 2 days now and LOVE it! I mastered the one hand in/out simply....
take out - i push the clip away with my index finger and use the rest of the hand to guide/retrieve the phone...
put back in - use my index finger to "hook" the clip and push it back while the rest of the hand slides the phone into the "full seated" position, then put the clip down and just run my hand along the edges fast to make sure everything i in tight....
hope this helps...
I bought the clip too, but it keeps ejecting my memory card!
one time i took it out with out looking and my memory card fell out.
luckly, nothing broke.
i'll need to redesign a few things.

Thanks S2W for the review. I have a question for you. I also have the bookgem but don't know if mine is defective. When opened the gem sits on the front spring rather then the the two front feet. It seems like there should be a rubber pad on these (to stop it from sliding and holding the gem above the spring hub). Does yours sit this way?

Your welcome... The spring hub is aligned with the 2 front feet of my stand. I did notice that when I closed the rear legs, the spring hub is no longer aligned. Standing the bookgem this way will give you a bit of that teeter-totter action since its meant to stand on an angle. But don't care for it as much in this position since it becomes no longer use as a stand but closed to put away.
Overall, I like the stand. Hopefully you're within your timescale and can return it back if defective. IMO, Its kind of useless to me, if you dont have the front feet stabled and aligned because of the spring hub dropping lower.
We have to trust that our Gtabs are secured. So if your unsure I would return it.
Glad you you caught the video.
Book Gem
I've had my book gem over the weekend and had to make one mod.
just above the book gem sticker there were are two pyramid looking stubs.
I took an excacto knife (a box cutter knife should work as well) to reduce the stubs and filed the remain flat.
Other then that I love my Gtab Gem. With the legs in, it's easier to hold with one hand, imo.

Black leather case delivered
Thank you for your excellent YouTube review. I'm now enjoying the leather case that arrived today. An excellent fit, no problems with port access or power/volume buttons. Definitely adds class to the G-Tab experience. I highly recommend it!
Stand and Case Together
Great videos!
I really like both the case and the stand, but would like to use them together. Is it possible to use the gtab with the stand while it is still in the case? Maybe you could do another video review of both together
Anyone know of a Kindle DX case that folds over into a stand in landscape mode? The only ones I have seen the stand is in portrait mode.
Thanks!
I must thank you. I was going back and forth between getting the Kindle DX case and the Zec case. I was on the fence about the Kindle case, but your video review totally solidified my decision. Got mine in today, and I couldn't be happier.
Thanks, man!
Saw your review of the Kindle case on YouTube. It was instrumental in my decision to order it for every day use. Thank you for taking the time to put it up there.
I had ordered and received one of those cases with the built-in usb keyboard before I made this decision as the keyboard is not silicone and will damage my screen if I decided to use it every day. The other case also didn't really keep my tablet secure at all and I felt it would slip out of it at any given moment.
I stopped carrying my powerhouse laptop with me when I travel on business (with the power adapter it weighs about 20 lbs). Now I just carry my G Tablet and use LogMeIn Ignition for Android to remote in to my laptop I keep at my office. I kept the other case so I can use it when I travel on business and need to type a lot. But I am really looking forward to receiving this Kindle DX cover so I can use it every day.

In the video, it looks like the wings come in contact with the touchscreen itself when placed in portrait. In light of how strong those springs look, I wouldn't want them in contact with the touchscreen at all. Perhaps this case is more for landscape only?

After reading this post I tried to place the gtab on portrait and carefully examine what you stated above... with mines it doesnt touch the screen, I will say that the paddings are close by the border of the touch screen but does not effect it. I can only speak for myself on this.
Hope that helps.

I'm with the gentleman above. I would love to purchase this one but can it adequately be used as a landscape stand? That's really the make or break decision for me. I currently use the cheap carrying case from Sears to hold it so I may opt for the Bookgem or another case.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered one yesterday. They haven't shipped it out yet so I could cancel but I think for $20, I'll take the risk. They do have great return policies.
I know the one with the keyboard is comparable priced but after putting aaron's back cover on mine, I don't really want to stick velcro on the back of it to keep it in place.
I guess I just should have opted for the Book gem and continued to use the Sears carrying case.

I was just coming on to post this because it seems as if this company is selling a different case now. My case doesn't have the same sheen on the outside, nor do I have the larger pockets on the inside like the one in the video. Never the less, it seems to hold the tablet the same, so I'm fine with it. Best option I've seen for the price I paid. ( $18.50 with free shipping.) I should add that I'm fine with the smaller inside pockets, as they don't push on the screen like the one in the video, but I do wish I had the outer cover as it does look like a better quality than the case I have.

I believe the design of the 7.7 with the power and volume controls on the right side dictated where the hinge is for the book cover case .
Think about it.....If it opened right to left ,then the power and volume buttons would be on the bottom and subject to being accidentily activated when using it as a stand in landscape mode, as it would be sitting on them. Also they couldn't be used sitting on the bottom.
I've had it on since the second day I owned my 7.7 and got used to the left to right opening now. I do really love it's tight fitting, minimalist design and keeps the tab nice and thin.Feels good in my hands and gives more grip when gaming and surfing, works great as a stand and gives some protection for this beautiful screen when transporting it.
I'm not big on the other generic designs that are out there for the 7.7 right now. If you look at ones selling on Ebay ,the sellers are selling the exact one for the 7 inch ones too and look bulky. If something better comes out then I would consider it down the road but I think this is the best one out so far .
agreed, you wouldn't be able to use it as a stand if it opened the other way.
i like the way it opens

tab 7.7 case.
Im not very impressed with mine:
1: Dont like the fact it opens the wrong way. I agree they couldnt design it any other way but still dont like it.
2. After about a week the grips that keep it steady when standing up starts slipping on various surfaces. So tab keeps falling flat.
3: No option to put it in the tipical slighly tilted for typing possition like the case for tab 8.9 or 10.1
4. I can already see small cracks in the flexible rubber (hinge bit) and the cut open bit at the power button. For this price I was expecting way more.
Argh. All these mixed reviews of the OEM book cover is getting me quite confused. I don't really think I should shell out the amount of money they're asking for the case...
Maybe I'll just get an envelope/pouch from Timbuk2 or other makers while waiting for that perfect case with the multi-view angles.
As for the cover opening the "wrong" way, I think it's the right way from where the Tab was made. Most East Asia books DO operate like that. Especially mangas

I have the 8.9 with the book case. Is it the same sleek design and same thinness as the 8.9 case?
I've got the book cover the same day I got my 7.7 and first I didn't like it. The hinge was very stiff, the lid wasn't flush with the back when flipped around completely. But now I'm used to it and it's ok.
But:
- when the lid was flipped to the back for a longer time you can see the top (rubberlike) material delaminating from the hard bit inside in the hinge area
- when the lid is flipped to the back it's rather wobbly. I'm used to hold the Tab in my right hand with resting it on my spread little finger. But then the lid is always moving about and just feels quite assuring.
But it's a lot better than the Samsung pouch, which is simply waste of money.
The d30 leather pouch for the old Tab was way better but of course wasn't as light and space saving and you could always loose it when you were using the Tab.
Just got my Case today.
From all the horror stories I have been reading about it I thought it was going to be horrible but I like it so far.
First off:
It is incredibly thin and light. Adds almost no bulk at all.
Tab fits very well in the case and my hinge is not stiff at all so folds over very easily.
I dont like:
- all the corners except the top right are protected. So if you were to drop it on that corned it will dent the device.
- I actually dont like the cut out for the power. The material sticks out a little when the case is closed. Wish they didnt have cut out for it.
Besides that I think its really good. I dont think you will find another book case that will be as thin as this one.

Well yes and know. Just as sleek but the big difference is the fact that it only has one stand position unlike tab 8.9 and 10.1 design that has two. One upright and one slightly tilted/flat to type. Not sure how to explain it. Hope you understand what I mean...
I, too, like its sleekness and light weight, but I have to say I wouldn't spend $40+ again -- I think it's way overpriced for what it offers -- and that's after having numerous tablets and similar cases (most selling for under $25. If you can afford to wait for the market to catch up I'd recommend not buying this one.

Samsung case
Just got mine (from the cell guru) and I actually like it.
good quality and not too bulky (can still hold it with one hand easily)
for $30, I'm not sure we can find a lot better
O
I got mine today from CellGuru along with the GT 7.7 from NegriElectronics!
So stoked!
I noticed on the plastic box it came in that it had an illustration for Keyboard Mode along with Media-Viewing Mode.
Anybody find out how the Keyboard Mode is supposed to work? It looks like it's propping the Tab up several inches.
I think Keyboard Mode is a mistake. There's really no way this thing can be propped up that way unless you just put something between the two sides.
Here's another case that popped up on ebay. Looks interesting, still debating if I should buy one.

I love the Samsung Case. It is quite svelt. I don't like that you only really have one angle to stand but it still looks awesome and as others have mentioned you still get a feel for how thin and light this tablet is.

Body glove has been a lot more miss than hit as of late for me tho. Anything from cheap cases that break after a couple days, scratching the phone, not fitting correctly or not locking and falling off to paint/clear coat rubbing off the first say.
Sadly, I wouldn't recommend body glove to anyone.

Got one with my phone Saturday. Fit is almost too good. Hard to remove without taking the plastic covers off the back with it. Also the cover scratches easy and is looking pretty old after just 4 days. I got the white one which was all they had available Saturday. Will be looking for a gel case soon. Buttons work alright though. No scratches on my phone from the case.

Thanks for that. I'm cancelling my order. Too much money to not be happy...
My Sprint store had the white ones on release day so I got one. Seems to work pretty good!
Sorry for the bump and double post, but I wanted to second that the body glove RIPS the top-back off of the phone when removed. Or it rips the bottom panel off the phone (worse!)
I like it, I just don't like removing it!
its really hard to take out and when you do it it will take your back cover out, i dont like this cover because it feels weak, i bought it @ sprint but already purchased a otterbox commuter to replace it,
I got this case at the Sprint store and have been pretty happy with it. The combination of the hard plastic outside and the silicone inside seems to offer a lot of protection, and there is a nice lip to protect the screen. All the holes seem to be in the right places and the buttons work well. The power button is a bit difficult to press, but I actually like this as it prevents it from being accidentally locked in my pocket (it only there were a way to disable the Sense ring lock).
It does make the phone noticeably bulkier, especially on the back where the case bulges out a bit (there is a 1mm gap between the phone and the case. Still, the overall package is no thicker than my naked HTC Hero. The added side thickness also means that the phone doesn't stand up as much when using the kickstand.
The store only had the white version, unfortunately, but since I was exchanging another case I didn't have much of a choice (it was that or the pink Otterbox Commuter).
I've removed it a couple of times and had no problems with the back cover coming off, but I was careful to follow the removal instructions (at least on the Sprint version, it comes with instructions telling you to remove it starting with the bottom corner next to the microphone, followed by the other bottom corner, following by sliding the top out). It fits the car dock well with the insert removed and with some minor adjustment of the foam pads.
I got the Body Glove from Sprint as well, and don't need it since I already had a case. It is the gray one. If anyone is interested in buying it at a discounted rate, it is never used and still has the original packaging. PM me if interested.

Seems like a lot of people missed this when I read reviews. I myself missed it initially.
http://www.shopandroid.com/body-glove-tactic-case/4A123A11576A.htm has the black version of the case for $17 today (7/19/2012) as their deal of the day.
Does anyone know if there is a holster out there that will work with the Body Glove Tactic case? I recently got a case and holster combo from my local Sprint store and I didn't check to see if the holster would work with the Car Dock Sprint sales and the case was too big to fit in the car dock even with the insert removed. The Body Glove Tactic case works great in the Car Dock, but I would really like to have a holster for it.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have the Active or Surface holster from Seidio? Thanks for the response.

this case broke my first htc evo 4g lte, its why i had to use my replacement, when i took the case off, it fit so tight, that it took the back off too, tearing the plastic......DO NOT BUY , BUYER BEWARE...spend the extra money and get a real case
I love mine. I love the grip on it. However, trying to remove it is a huge hassle and sometimes it breaks the case partially. Otherwise it's great for the grip. Feels good when I play the Pokemans on my EVO.

I have one of these on my phone. It does scratch quite easy and takes the back off when you pull it off, but it does not scratch the phone or trap dirt and dust. other than scratching up i dont mind the case. I would much rather have that happen to the case than my phone.
Put in my pre order but that's a lot of glass with the 2 screens and folded back is my plan if there is no peek feature for notifications...
Hearing its shipping with a bumper in white but has any seen any ideas on cases.
That's an expensive phone and 100% different form size to get used to...seeing dropping it as easy till you get use to it.
I have been thinking about the same thing, I think it kind of depends on how you want to carry your Duo. I think there will be some challenges because many common case options will either mess with the aesthetics of the Duo or Cause problems with the folding action of the device.
Some options may be:
-There are Skins available that will protect it from case scratching.
-There are glass protectors that can be applied to the screens. (Possibly the external panels but I am not certain on that one)
-There is a type of belt clip that reminds me of the old Blackberry holsters (By Kensington)
-There are generic belt holsters that will likely work.
-There are also belt pouches that could be used to carry the Duo with some accessories (that will likely be a bit much for most people tho)
Cheers,
BR
It's definitely going to be difficult to completely protect. I'm curious as to how well the bumper adhesive will hold up to day after day of pulling it out and putting it back in pockets. It looks like the lip of the bumper would be prone to catching or grabbing pocket seams or other rough materials.

Same here, I have been considering case options, I don't want it too snug so the case does not stress the bumpers and cause them to fall off. I like to have something that protects, allows easy carry with good access. I don't want something too big that will be cumbersome. A fine line between too little and too much

Belt Holster Case for Microsoft Surface Duo https://store.kensington.com/products/belt-holster-for-microsoft-surface-duo
Might get this myself
Looks like Dbrand for now...but the youtubes of people trying the demo models at Best Buy and Att are not looking good. Each one has super sketchy software that is not working!

I am pretty sure that is retail demo mode. Because i went to best buy and they let me use it before they put it in demo mode and it was smooth as butter. tested it after demo mode and it was horrible.
Went to an At&t store today and got to spend about a hour with it...the phone was really nice, crazy thin but its just super awkward to text and type.
The the keyboard is wide enough that you have to use 2 hands and just couldn't get comfortable.
I would download swiftkey because lots of mistakes typing with the standard keyboard.
Camara was average quality and even running two apps, youtube and email it just was hard to type and hold the phone in book mode and feel comfortable.
I did put the bumper and zero protection. I see a lot of people dropping this phone.
I think for the cost I'm going to wait it out and see what the reviewers and influencers say...Coming from a 5g phone its going to be hard to take a step backwards.
Interested to see what you all think once you get it in hand.

It is Swiftkey, (shows in the specs) that said, If I recall, there is some customization that makes it act certain ways in certain situations.

The bumpers are lint magnets. Not sure how long I will be keeping them on
I don't think they are going to offer any protection anyway...
It will be interesting to see in a few weeks the post of people dropping these and the outcome!
This does not look to offer total protection, bit I dig the folio style and functionality.

2 versions here
Try some of the Nintendo DS Carry cases that are still around. It has virtually the same form factor and I can confirm the Duo fits snugly inside of them.

I got this case for two reasons: 1 ) I drop everything. Repeatedly. 2) I'm not using my Duo as a phone. In fact I turned the ringer off so spam calls don't bother me.
It's a high quality case as you'd expect from Otterbox, but it does work by sticking the Duo to it with adhesive, so you can't remove it. With the case on, you cannot fold the Duo completely around into "phone mode" so if you do plan to use it as a phone, do NOT get this case. The other annoying bit, when I do fold it around most of the way, the duo turns off the right side screen instead of the left that's now buried in the case, so you either have to do the "double tap" to swap screens, or just don't do that.
Also, the pen slot is REALLY tight on this case. Tight enough I put my 2nd gen surface pen in it and it pulled the pen apart trying to get it back out. I bought the slim pen (hate it) and it works much better there because there's not a back cap to pull off. I think over time it'll slide out easier as the elastic stretches.
It reminds me of when I did sales back in the early 90's and carried a dayplanner everywhere. That's essentially what your Duo becomes with this case - a digital dayplanner.
It's hard to play games on it due to the folding issue and how much weight the case adds to the device. All in all, I'm very pleased with the case, but I think a lot of people won't be due to those limitations.
