[Q] CM7 builds - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anyone doing CM7 KANG builds? It seems official builds have now switched over to CM9. Will they release CM 7.2 stable for the SGS2 ?

Unlikely. Most devs have released their final GB roms/kernels (save for minor bug fixes) and are preparing to concentrate on ICS. Having said that, ask Codeworkx or XpLoDWilD, they'd be able to tell you for definite if there's going to be any more development of CM7.

On rom manager there is a cm7 kangs by euroskank its 7.2.0 updated on 2/26/12

[q] cyanogenmod 7.1 info

Hi guys, i'm using KI8 stock with siyah 1.8 right now, and it looks like one of the best configuration for galaxy S2.
Anyway, i'm very interested about trying the famous cyanogenmod 7.1 stable, and i just want to have some judgement about it...it's faster and more battery safe than a stock? it's the best?
[NIGHTLY][ROM][GWK74] CyanogenMod 7 (w/ Gingerbread 2.3.7) for Galaxy SII Q&A contains 6,602 posts relating to CyanogenMod, or since you mention 7.1 "stable" (it was later changed to RC1), [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for the Samsung Galaxy S II :: V7.1.0 RC1 (9 Oct 2011).
There is no stable release. There is a lot of issues and you should really wait and go with MIUI or one of the modded samsung roms for now

Wrong. There is a stable release, and you can download it from the link posted above. Also, it's not full of bugs, but if you're going to try it, I suggest you go for the latest nightly; it should have more fixes than the stable build. However, it's an experimental build, so be prepared for weird things. I'm using it since a long time, and it's really stable on my phone.
Also, learn to f***ing post in the right thread

Which is based on CM7 and therefore would contain most if not all of the same "issues".
in the cyanogenmod official page the rom it's called "stable"...and anyway i think MIUI has more issues than CGM...

ICS - Not for everybody.

Apparently CM9 "ICS" is for every phone compatible with CM7. But I believe they're talking about OFFICIAL CM7. Our Ace still doesn't have official CM7, does this mean another unofficial version of CM for us until they notice the mighty powerful Ace?
I honestly wouldn't mind an unofficial version as long as the basics work. Just like the beastly CM7.2 rom

difference between cm9 and ICS RC4.2

hey im sure this has been answered before but i couldnt find anything was wondering what the difference was between the two.. im stuck inbetween the two and dont know which to choose plz and thank you
You probably mean "icssgs release 4.2".
The icssgs rom, by Onecosmic and others, is very explicitly built from the basic android code, AOSP. it does not and will not have the many CM improvements.
The Passion rom and the CM9 kang are based on the Cyanogenmod 9 codebase and so will have CM features as they get ported from CM 7 to CM 9.

[Q] No more cyanogenmod nightlies for fascinate?

Hi
My fascinate running the 7/23 nightly but I couldn't get to download after then.
aren't releasing them....maybe they're put it on a monthly build release?
I am waiting for update of cyanogenmod nightlies for fascinate now.
@apnews
It's because they have not been working on cm 10.1 (jellybean 4.2.2) but instead cm 10.2 (jellybean 4.3),,, and our devices (all with cdma 3g only) have had flaky data issues.
It is being worked on by the developers
.
jt1134, the cm maintainer, has been working on cm10.2 for the fascinate, and he's been busy with other phones as well. there will be new cyanogenmod builds soon, but don't ask for ETAs.
all of the 4.3 ROMs have super-flaky data, so they're not recommended to use as a daily driver.
just wait and see what's next. try out some different 4.2 ROMs in the meanwhile. there's like 10+ of them, and they all bring different, awesome things to the table.

[Q] Motorola atrix 4G upgrade rom CM10

Hi,
I am trying to find upgrade from CM7 to CM10 which has 4.1.1 android OS for my motorola atrix 4G. Can some one please share link to new CM
Thanks
there is no official CM9, CM10, 10.1 or anything above CM7 but there are a few awesome members who was able to build a CM9 and CM10.1 rom from source. If you check the Rom Development section you will find them. Note that these are not OFFICIALLY supported and do have bugs and are not intended as a daily driver but alot of people including me use E's CM10.1 with K's kernel and they work pretty well
