i have a question, i bought my phone from cyprus (european version), i live in the middle east region; i wanted to add permenant arabic language to my HTC rhyme.
Can anyone please guide to to add arabic language both written and reading

the rhyme (AFAIK) hasent been rooted nor s-offed yet so flashing an arabic patch is not an option and since htc has not released any update that enables arabic support , I hate to say ur stuck with no arabic for a while
Not sure if the ics update will bring arabic to the device , all u can do is wait .
As for writing u can download arabic keyboard from the market but I think that the letters will display only squares

Keep checking the forum for threads about the rhyme and check also other than xda since they have not added the rhyme to the supported devices list ( If u want u can vote ) ,maybe someone have a solution for u.

Hey guys, i bought an unlocked taiwanese hero with android 2.1, but i bought it for my dad, he doesnt speak a bit of english, and this rom only comes with english and some asian languages.
I wanna set the language to spanish but i just cant, I've tried with this apks "custome locale" and "more locale" but they dont do the trick,I've tried flashing but it seems the bootloader this phone came with doesnt allow rooting or flashing custom rooms, can you guys be cool and give a bro a hand? Im starting to freakout

There should be a few custom ROMs with what you need, take a look in the Dev section. As for rooting, use BTDAGs guide linked in my signature.

2.1 Roms
If you want something looking the same but in Spanish, try out the stock rom from HTC, or maybe better the Modaco Custom Rom r5. They both work great.

Is it possible to have a standard rom that includes two diff zone languages, one being european dutch and other is middle east arabic?
If not then is there a patch to read arabic font properly on european langages rom?

yes, you can have multiple languages on your phone. you just need the language files for the languages you are looking for.
yes there is a patch for rtl fix check in android development formum for wanam, he may have the patch on his website.
German is already implented in all roms , but for arabic it's a little limited , for instance ICS can only read arabic but by android keyboard or any other 3rd party app u can write
so in ICS u don't need RTL fix , it's already fixed
and the best recommended rom for arabic support is Wanam lite :http://wanamlite.com/
Note: wanam lite is working on both S2 and S3 roms , so don't download and flash a S3 rom or it might potentially hard brick your phone

I have htc mozart with os version 7.10
I heard that Microsoft will push 7.8 update which will include many new languages, one of these are Arabic, so I Waited and waited and waited but nothing came !
I checked my os version and it shows 7.10 >!? what about the 7.8 with arabic language support ?!?!
I really need the Arabic keyboard, It's ok if the device language is English but I want at least a built in Arabic keyboard that I can use without the need of third party silly Arabic keyboard software !!
