Hi, All,
Please help me!! Not sure if this is already discussed. I have searched the forums and found a couple of threads but there was no resolution. So, I am sorry if it is already answered.
My problem is that the gtalk and skype video calls are not working. The apps crashes all the times whenever I try to make video chats. I am running the ICS Passion ROM v13 RC1 and I have been having this issue with previous passion ROMs as well. I have had couple of suggestions that this might be due to the bootloaders and to flash to Gingerbread's one. Since flashing bootloaders are a bit risky I need to be sure if it would fix the issue before doing this. So please help me out
Thanks in advance
B
Honestly, IMO, changing to GB bootloaders won't help your situation. But that's just my opinion.
I don't know what you have tried, so I'm just going to throw out things I would do. Uninstall/reinstall the app. Fix permissions in Rom Manager and Repair Permissions in CWM.

Since I am not allowed to post to the thread. (I don't have enough post) Quick question....I love the rom so far. However, the only issue I have so far is I CANNOT surf the web when I take myself off WIFI. Is there any way to fix that? Please let me know... thanx
I have tried to reflash a few times....still doesn't fix the issue..
Nevermind! I am a RETARD! The answer was right there in the OP....
Hey there, I currently have just finished the steps of installing CM7.
First I must thank all the developers for their hard work, It is greatly appreciated!
In the developer forum for "[ROM] CM7 Alpha for the Nook Tablet " the links are not there. I however stumbled upon a link for the ROM at "Makingitdigital". After installing this Rom on my Nook Tablet I have found I do not have an applications for Android market or Google Aps. I have also noticed that WiFi is not working. Did I download a old version of this rom or install it incorrectly? Could someone provide me with possible solutions? I really appreciate everyones time! I apologize in advance if this topic has been covered, I have looked around but couldn't find anything on this. CM7 seemed to work for most people, most issues for CM7 were regarding installing

Read Most of these and you will be up to date!
You won't see the market until you get wifi connected. So focus your efforts there.
Hello,
I have a question concerning the ports of Jellybean to smarthphones. A lot of times it will come with, what i think, are standard errors. wifi aint working, camera aint working etc. I would like to learn how to help with fixing those errors. The answers i found and got where tips on using adb Logcat and looking where it went wrong. But what should you do after that, i mean i see a bunch of lines and i see it cant load something. Where should i look to fix the problem there, how should you fix the problem then etc. Are there some general guidelines that are easy2learn which you can help fix roms with?
To give some specific information.
I have a HTC Sensation running Bruce2728's CM10 beta build
Thanks in advance,
Marlo
Hey everyone! So I'm very familiar with Android (running it, hacking it, etc.) but I don't know much about the Vibrant, and from the research I've done it seems kind of hacky...well really hacky. Anyways I just have a few questions before I start messing around with my girlfriend's phone; I'm just gonna list them below to make it easier. Any help would be appreciated very much of course! Thanks in advance!
1. What is going on with the model numbers/names for this phone?
Okay, so my girlfriend has a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G (from what I found out, I believe the model number is T959V). This is still considered a "Vibrant" right? Also, will ROMs, recoveries, etc. labeled for the "T959" also work with her phone? (Since it is technically T959V)
2. Are there any Jelly Bean ROMs without the emergency calling issue?
I've been reading around about the different Jelly Bean ROMs available for the Vibrant, and can't find a general consensus about which, if any, do not have the emergency calling bug. Besides for that bug, it seems like Jelly Bean has been running pretty smoothly on the Vibrant. So is there a ROM without this bug, and what exact problem does the bug cause?
3. What are the basic steps from upgrading from Froyo to Jelly Bean?
I know this question seems more stupid than the rest, but after reading several guides, ROM installation instructions, and wikis, all of the instructions seem to say something different. I just want to know the VITAL things that I have to flash (radios, bootloaders, kernels, etc.) before I can just boot into recovery and flash a Jelly Bean ROM zip and have it boot up.
Like I said before, I hope I don't seem too needy or ignorant by posting this! I truly have done my research on this phone already, but a few things are still very unclear to me. I just want to be safe before I try to do anything to it! Also for the sake of everyone else, I wanted to avoid having to post "PLZ HELP I BROK MY FONE!1!!" in the future. So if anyone can help me out at all, or if anyone has some general tips, I would appreciate it a lot! Thanks!
P.S. I know there are quite a few guides out there, but none of the ones I could find were updated anytime recently. And that's what brings me here!
To answer your first question. T959V and T959 are not the same thing.
Roms are not interchangeable.
The T959V does have its own section here on XDA.

Thank you very much. A mod can move this to the SGS 4G section so it's not taking up space here.
I still have a sgs2 running on 2.3.3 can anyone help me to update it to 4.0.4 or even cm10.1?
Why open another thread? If you want to update, you're definitly not the first one who tries this. Doesn't this make you think there maybe are other people who've asked this or even descriped this in other threads? Search and read, that's the best thing you can do.
