I installed galaxy task v14 from galaxytabhacks.com and the kernel that was a seperate dowload but was supposed to be for it. It all works very well but the autorotation isnt working and it is driving me insane.
Anyone else have this issue, and if so any idea how to fix?
Don't mean to cause offence but have u checked to make sure its enabled? I knocked it off by accident once lol

If I'm not mistaken. The v.14 from task is installed with the normal kernel from samsung. The kernel that you install separately is a custom one. Does it work with the normal kernel?
I had the same issue after upgrading to stock 3.2. I tried messing around with the calibration settings, and it worked. Maybe it'll work for you too! Goods luck!

The problem is because the kernel listed in galaxytabhacks.com is for HC 3.1 and "Galaxy Task 14" is a HC 3.2 ROM.
The right kernel can be found in pershoot's blog:http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/
Direct link to kernel: 10.1-Wifi, Touchwiz UX (OTA, GT-P7510)
BTW, I suggest you to check the official "Galaxy Task 14" thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340064
Maple you are my hero, wiped cache, dalvik cache, and reflashed new kernel now it works like a dream. big thanks bro

You using faux123's OC kernel? I used his and it made my widgets disappear upon reboot on certain versions. Version 0.13 works for me though.
Try to fix permissions on advanced tab in CWM.
Its fauxs kernel. Flash to stock or a different kernel.
Thx everyone
I will try to install another kernel.

^About that^
I'm running Faux's Kernel and am thus experiencing the same problem...
If I were to install a different kernel, are there any (besides Faux's) that are compatible with Nottach's Darkside ROM?
Kholk's, perhaps, or others?
Or is the only stable option to just flash a different non-widget-killing version of Faux's kernel?

0.1.9?
I thought the most recent was .7?
Clarification, por favor?
Thanks for the tip, though.

KIck arse.
Thank you bro.
I've installed the Kholk's OC kernel and its seem to fix the problem.
If I lost my widget again I inform you.
Thank you!
I'm currently using the 1.9 kernel by faux and I lose my widgets on reboot...
Kholk's kernel work fine for me.
Fix permissions through Rom Manager. This is the one which works.
Delete widgets
Open Rom Manager
Fix Permissions
Reboot
Setup widgets
Assimilated via WinBorg 4G
i have done some research on the missing widgets on boot. it seems that if i leave the cpu frequency at 1100 mhz and cold boot the widgets stay but when i move the frequency to 1300 mhz and cold boot they disappearing. not sure why just an observation.

I've reinstall faux123's kernel and this method seem to work.
Thank you!
i recently decided to install faux's newest kernel and im getting a slightly different problem. Instead of the widgets just not appearing at all they say problem loading widgets. this is using launcher pro.
Have had this problem a lot. Solved with faux's 0.1.7.
Hi there~i'm new to xda so i cannot post in the development thread but only here.....
I'm using krabappel2548's KA rom, it really gd and fast and stable
i have two problems, when i use google+ hangouts, i see other's image ok and i see myself ok, but the other side (i.e. the ppl i'm talking to) told me that the color of my image is not correct......my face is blue; when i show him a blue object he saw orange;when i show him a pink object he saw blue.....anyone has similar problem?
the other is the map, the compass is not working. i read some threads in xda also stating similar problem, and it only happens in Google Maps 6.x but not 5.xx. Just want to know what is the origin of problem?
Hope it wont be too long...thanks so much!
just tried Skype, the situation is the same, just everything is green instead of blue......
Have tried to reflash the kernel? Sometimes it solves some problems..
Which kernel are you using?? Use NON OC kernel and test it..
Really strange Problem !
I just tried to reproduce it with my old X8, cause my only idea on this was that you installed a wrong localised Rom
(imo US Rom / Jap Rom instead of EU or something like this).
But didn´t get any similar display errors.
I would recommend starting up from the scratch, reinstalling Stock Kernel/rom.

Hi,
I just noticed a problem that I didn't have before on my SGS2. There is a small "jump" when I touch and drag just a little. It's not as smooth as before.
I'm running the last version of Resurrection Remix. I didn't have that bug on stock ROM (Gingerbread), and I can't remember if I had it on stock ICS update, because I didn't like it and updated to the custom ROM right away.
It's really annoying because I lose a lot of precision (for DrawSomething or Swype keyboard... Because of the "jumps", Swype thinks I type 2 words and I always get something like "E Hello" instead of one single word....
I tried to make the best video I could... It's not very clear but you can still see the jumps on the device on the left.
Does someone know how to fix this?
Same problem on stock ICS.
I forgot to mention that the two devices are running the same Resurrection Remix ROM.
I think the stock vitalij value ( i think that's what its called ) is 15. That means you need to move your fingers 16pixels before the move is recognized. Some custom kernels like siyah can adjust that up to zero and you just need to move it atleast 1pixel until the move is recognized.

I was on Siyah before updating to Rerruction Remix, now I'm on a CM kernel.
Can I flash Siyah again without any problem ?
I've just noticed that the ROM v1.8 (that I flashed) comes with CM9 kernel. I'll just update to v1.9 with Siyah
Yay! Updated to v1.9.1 with Siyah kernel and the problem is solved! ^^

Hi! I'm new to the forums, and I was just wondering, is there an over clocking method made for this ROM, and are there any fully stable versions of it? I couldn't post in the topic itself as I am a new user and I spent quite a while looking through the posts hoping to look for an answer. If somebody knows of any of these two, please help! (I'm speaking for the latest CyanogenMod, the one with Jelly Bean 4.2)
No, no stable version of cm yet. There is release candidates but imo cm is still not stable for daily use. It's up to you to test it and see if it works for you as daily driver. It didn't for me.

Oh I see. And what about any overclocking method, such as a kernel that may give me access to overclock?
And are all custom kernels supported by the same version (such as all custom kernels made for 4.2.2 will work with 4.2.2?)
For OC check out JBX-Kernel

Do you mind linking me to this, as I have no idea where to find it sorry I'm quite the newcomer to this stuff. And also it's compatible with XT912 with CyanogenMod 10.1 right? (Jelly Bean 4.2.2)
I'd like to know how to oc my xt912 also... tried the kernel makes it unbearable slow with FC's and constant lag... tried out on buttered... avatar... liquid smooth...
Yeah same here. The fixes say to dlete any other CPU tweakers in the ROM, which is found in the Performance part of the CyanogenMod. Does anybody have any idea on how to delete/disable this part?

Okay I installed but in oder for it to work properly I have to disable the CPU controller built into CyanogenMod. Do you have any ides how to do that?

if u have put any tweaks just disable them in CM, that is all. for example if u have set any governor or scheduler on boot, just disable them
May I just verify... my steps...
Go into ss3.11...
-In ROM slot 1 I wipe system,fr, and wipe caches.
-delete ROM slot 1, recreate ROM 1
-wipe everything again
-flash buttered AOKP... wipe... gapps... wipe... kernel..
- reboot...
Is that correct..
In the event that it is, doing so make the device is not really functional at all... compared to stock and to AOKP with out the kernel... I thank you kindly for any input
Well its a hit and miss, sometimes the rom doesn't not work very well with the kernel and vice versa. You may check the jbx kernel thread and see what people think about it and get some input from there because I am not using jbx atm

Has anybody actually used Jbx Kernel on CyanogenMod and found that it worked well?
Can somebody explain to me the difference between raising your MPU OC (Live OC) and simply raising the CPU frequency? And which is better in which circumstances? (Like battery vs. performance)?
Hey everyone!
How's it going?
I recently flashed over the stable build for cyanogenmod 10.0 on my vibrant and that worked really well. I was shocked at how stable and smooth it was!
I saw that 10.1 was put out yesterday, so I flashed that but I'd been having some issues. The gapps zip didn't work all that well and I had to manually install some of the apps. No big deal.
However, I've been having issues with poweramp or apollo crashing out when I'm using the stock browser. I am, however, running juicedefender and autokiller to manage my RAM.
Any suggestions to free up some stuff? I'm really hoping to make this work because it works pretty awesome, but I can always drop down to 10.0 if it doesn't work out since I wasn't having any crashing issues.
In terms of flashing:
I flashed back to stock with ODIN, then installed CWM, then flashed 10.1, did a wipe, then installed gapps. Gapps didn't 'take', but I was able to take care of it through the play store.
Thanks for any help!
RTC.
I think back stock w Odin,in cwm reset data cache as normal ,but in advance format system,& fix permissions, install 10.1 & gapps again, maybe works,T959 have 390mb,custom roms JB have 180mb+80mb gapps+apps cache ect. Im install JB roms and free ram is 60mb-90mb eccept slimbean. Or try another jb kernel with custom features like semaphore, only issue is video camera not work in bigmem(406mb)
Good luck! Im on Trigger/overstock.

Yeah, I totally spaced out on the kernel. I just updated to the latest semaphore and am ready to go. Things are already MUCH faster.
I never really use the videocamera anyway, so it's not an issue.
Do you think Zram would help at all? Semaphore doesn't have any.
If I get a class 10 external sd card, is there any way to use some of that as ram? If we can do that, it'd breathe new life into the vibrant like WOAH.
Or is there any way to run some of the necessary apps on the external SD card instead of RAM?
Edit: Tried to OC to 110% and the phone started restarting so I disabled that. Now the phone shuts down when it sleeps and the power button doesn't wake it up. I have to pull the battery and restart it. Anyone know why?
Here's the semaphore kernel I flashed:Semaphore_JB_2.9.21v.zip

I noticed that there were semaphore kernels for -SV which I guess were for the slim roms?
