Guys heres one F***** News For Neo V development............
Sony Ericsson releases official ICS Alpha ROMs for Xperia Arc S, Ray and neo V
Important information
Since this is far from the final software upgrade roll out, there are a few things to pay close attention to before you download and install the ROM:
You should be an advanced developer with extensive knowledge in how to install, and switch between different ROMs. If you are a consumer without these developer skills, then we strongly recommend you not do try this as you may damage your phone.
You must be using Xperia™ arc S, Xperia™ neo V or Xperia™ ray, running the latest Sony Ericsson software release (which is 4.0.2.A.0.42). Please note that you can’t use the original Xperia™ arc or Xperia™ neo, as they have different partition layouts.
You must unlock your phone using Sony Ericsson’s Unlock boot loader service, and agree to all the legal and warranty conditions that apply. Please note that you may void the warranty of your phone and/or any warranty from your operator if you unlock the boot loader of your phone. Sony Ericsson can then no longer guarantee the full functionality of your phone, and will not be responsible for any unusable functions or loss of personal data associated to the alpha ROM being flashed to the phone. Please pay special attention to the following legal statement before downloading (the full statement is available on the download link):
“You must acknowledge that the software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express, or implied, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.”
Also, if you unlock the boot loader, you will not be able to download and install the final Ice Cream Sandwich software upgrade from Sony Ericsson. For additional information on limitations and warranty, please see the Sony Ericsson Unlock boot loader service.
You should have read through and acknowledged the limitations of the software described below.
You must read and accept the end user license agreement on the download link, before you can download the alpha ROM zip file.
Limitations and functionality
The number of features and functionalities working and turned on in this alpha ROM are very limited. This is because many features are not yet certified, and in a few cases because we have more work to do on certain features, as they are still in the Bring up phase. These are some of the features turned off or not yet working in this alpha ROM:
Google Mobile Services (GMS) apps are not included (for example, Gmail, Google Maps, etc.).
Modem is turned off and SIM card will therefore not be recognised (this also means you can’t make any phone calls).
Bluetooth™ is turned off.
Wi-Fi® is turned off.
ANT+ is turned off.
FM-radio is turned off.
In other words, this software is not intended for ordinary everyday usage – it is for demonstration purposes only.
New features:
[*]New “Roboto” font.
[*]New “Holo” theme is supported (you are able to test apps written to make use of the Holo theme).
[*]Music player control from lock screen.
[*]Updated UI in the Settings menu.
[*]Updated UI in the web browser.
[*]Updated UI and interaction with the new messaging action bar.
[*]Updated UI for improved multitasking.
[*]Swipe to dismiss notifications, tasks and browser tabs in the Notification menu.
Download and install
Follow the instructions below to download and install the alpha ROM. Please note that it only works with Xperia™ arc S, Xperia™ neo V and Xperia™ ray.
[*]Make sure your phone is running the latest software release, which is build number 4.0.2.A.0.42. If not, upgrade your phone through PC Companion. If you can’t upgrade to this build number, it is not possible to try the Ice Cream Sandwich alpha ROM for Xperia™ phones.
[*]Go to unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com and unlock the boot loader of your phone. To do this, you must read through and agree to all the legal and warranty conditions that apply.
[*]Download the Ice Cream Sandwich alpha ROM for Xperia™ arc S (132MB),The Ice Cream Sandwich alpha ROM for Xperia™ neo V (131MB),The Ice Cream Sandwich alpha ROM for Xperia™ ray (132MB)depending on your phone model.
[*]Extract the downloaded zip file to your Android Fastboot directory. For example: ..\android-sdk\fastboot\Xperia_arcS_ICS_alpha.
[*]Open a command prompt and go to your Fastboot directory: ..\android-sdk\fastboot\
[*]Flash the three alpha ROM files one at a time using Fastboot. Use these three commands (replace the folder name if you are using Xperia™ neo V or Xperia™ ray):
[*]fastboot flash boot ..\Fastboot\Xperia_arcS_ICS_alpha\boot.img
[*]fastboot flash userdata ..\Fastboot\Xperia_arcS_ICS_alpha\userdata.img
[*]fastboot flash system ..\Fastboot\Xperia_arcS_ICS_alpha\system.img
[*]Once done, please reboot your phone And Enjoy......

too bad it's only alpha No GSM, no WiFi/ BT/ , laggy interface, I've had it for 10 minutes just to touch Android 4.0 It's very very unusuall, that official manufacturer developers gave a preview of new, unfinished rom

This post should probably go to the development section, but im a new user! so they wont allow me to post there
PEOPLE USING CUSTOM ICS ROMS, ARE BOUND TO THE AUTO ROTATION PROBLEM, I CAME ACROSS SOMETHING THAT HAS HELPED FIX ...// or atleast reduce the auto rotation lag and even enabled me to play motion-sensor controlled games such as "star bounder" ... apparently SE hasn't released proper drivers for MIDP devices.
My Phone : Xperia Mini st15i (unlocked bootloader)
Current Rom : MiniCMSandwich Lite AOSP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1638962
Kernel : boot_smultron_v2_lite.img
Autorotation Fix :
step 1)
turn off auto rotation from settings >> display >> auto rotate.
step 2)
install "advanced tools" from google play //free version
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=scd.atools&hl=en
step 3)
open advanced tools app.
GO to DEVICES >> Sensor Analysis >> Accelerometer >> Reset.
& also
DEVICES >> Sensor Analysis >> Compass >> Calibrate >> Follow Instructions
Now minimize app by pressing home, turn on auto rotation ! try it out ! play motion - sensor based games....such as "star bounder" auto rotation is much faster. (after phone restart or after a while u might want to repeat step 4 again)
PERMANENT FIX - my guess is to have a root access application (that could come with the Rom or could be flashed via recovery) that can calibrate auto rotation (or gyroscope) permanently .. like that of galaxy s2... Settings > calibrate Gyroscope.
PLEASE HIT Thanx button! and help me get into development section soon, thanx.
All of the files in the zip, are useless. The only one thing, what reduces the accelerometer "lag" here is the Advanced Tools from play store.
And please, don't post here SGS2 stuff. It has completely different hardware.

Got to agree.
Also checked the details of the .zip file, there are quite a few files, that don't even exist on Xperia ICS ROM.

No offense,
Oh!
Sorry guys! well but i flashed the zip. (i dint know what was in en all... ) just flashed it .. then did the calirate thingee from advanced tools and it worked...... i could play motion sensor based games. , i thought the zip had to do something wid the ics software bit. nyways... could u guys, try to make a calibration tool that resets the accelerometer every time phone starts automatically .. or wth root access, calibrates once en for all.

yeah right. good luck keeping your phone in one piece with that, flashing everything that u stumble upon without knowing anything what it does.

Zip file is removed.
The link probably is set incorrect one.
It was known to not work, as files were from Samsung ROM, which probably do not work due to different sensors.
Sorry guys!!!!
my apologies for that zip file which i had linked to earlier..(flashing it caused me no harm though) BUT guys... try that advanced tools app from google play, trust me it fixes the accelerometer , auto rotation lag temporarily... just install it from google play. advanced tools >> devices >> sensor analyzer >> accelerometer >> reset . Now try temple run, starbounder, and it would work!!!! im a noob yeah, thats why ive asked brainy ppl out here... to make something that resets accelerometer from time to time, or during boot.... something is better than nothing guys!

What?
There is no Android 2.3.6 released to Xperia phones. Besides, the accelerometer issue is already fixed in the ROMs.
And this won't work on Xperia phones anyway, the files were from Galaxy S2.

My Xperia z5.. X not working
hi i ported KA03 Xperia SSpeed from xperia p with the pack i created below. everything works fine but the weird thing is i can use my phone without touching anything ( can switch homescreen, type using the keyboard, etc )
i know its a floating touch bug but i found it cool so i thought i would share it with everyone
steps
1.make a back up
2.clean wipe
3.install this link to KA03 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683997
4.then this http://www.mediafire.com/?owjs8s7ga64ldmf
AROMA Touch doesn't work yet, instead use volume buttons to navigate, home button to confirm and back button to go back
now we just have to find a way to the settings to switch it on or off, controll its sensitivity, and where and when floating touch should work! but hey i've been dreaming about this about sola's ads saying no need to touch, they should really work on this!
I found a better solution ,you don't need to flash any roms.[Mod]Enabling Floating Touch Completely in Sola.
Gud effort but should have ported the ics rom would have been more useful cause neectron posted a better solution for this
Can anyone find a way to increase the distant to swipe the fingers from ??
sensitivity Is wht i am talkin abut
would need a isc kernel to make a isc port so have to wait for sony to release isc first
porting kit would be more useful for when when xperia p and u have more roms

Touchscreen problem
Hi I have Touchscreen problem with my phone and still waiting for a replacement but unfortunately there is no available sola parts untill now in our country. I am thinking if it may help me to solve my problem with my touchscreen.
My phone use "[ROM]Xperia Ice Cream Pureness[Build 13][ICS 4.0.4][NeoV][09.27][LOCKED/UNLOKED BL]" without factory reset and wipe cache, and after I setup it My camera couldn't run anymore. It shows "Unfortunately, camera has stopped" and back to home, then I flash Sony's original ftf , but it's invalid. what should I do now?
Sorry my English is suck. I'm come from Taiwan haha~~

Reflash purenees! With the device patch! And make full wipes! I think u have the wrong device patch! This usually happens then only! Like if u use neo v 's patch on neo u will get a red screen in camera or camera stops working.!
Press thanks if I helped
