Hello everyone......
There I was, happy as larry - full of joy and praise for my Ameo now running mobile 6.....
Then I tried to make a video call (which I had been happily using on mobile 5 ) and errr......its gone!
I am using the WWE Moblie 6 ROM on 2.20.405.1
Radio 1.32.00.00
I have been on this ROM for AGES and didnt even notice...
Anyone got a remedy for my ignorance? Or should I be thinking about a new ROM?
Thanks
Search!
I did a search and found 1 other person asking this question....No replies....did I miss something?
I think there's a different phonepad (dialler skin) you can install which will bring the video call button back. I've seen it mentioned here somewhere.
Sorry to be so vague, but it least I can try to point you in the right direction.
edit - try here for an example - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=290281&highlight=no+video+call

Does this work for 128 and 96dpi mode,or only 192?
I have no idea, I haven't used it.
My dial pad already has the video call button, on PK's 2.0 ROM.

Pantaloonie, your dialpad that has video call button, is it a stock dialpad from PK 2.0 ROM or PK2.0 addons? Or is it a third party dialpad? I am using PK2.0 ROM and I dont think there is any video call button in PK 2.0 ROM.

Yarod
Me too
After WM6, I can still try to make video call by holding the pointer on a contact and selecting "Video call". This either makes a voice call or doesn't connect. Without any realVGA even.
Any thoughts anyone?

Yes, its the dial pad included in the ROM. Only addition is an all black colour theme, not sure if that would make any difference.
Attached so you can try it.
May be is my poor english understanding, but I believe that some problems here are related to the realVGA "disable phone skin" feature.
May be someone doesn't knows that PHONE SKIN means also VIDEO CALL BUTTON. If you disable it... no phone skin? no party! (There was a commercial in Italy and maybe in some other country, No Martini? No party!) I used vjay big phone too for VGA res.
If you can't dial a video call and is switched to voice call, just check you AND THE PERSON YOU'RE CALLING are in a 3G area, no 3G? No party!
videocall
I ve test in wm6 spanish, ando today with the latest black rom and the videocalling din't works.
When i o a videocall he change o normall calling... Whats the mater?
Sorry for my english too
To make things clear
The WM6 system comes with 2 shapes of the phone. One is the standard WM6 Phone app inbuild in the OS and provided by M$. This does not have video call button (hence you can not use video call feature) and has very ugly interface specially if we talk about smart dialing.
The second shape wich also comes with all versions of WM6 ROMs (including PK ROM) is the HTC (or some other flavour of) Phone Skin which adds video button (and feature) and provides much nicer shape for smart dialing.
Now, the problem is that HTC Phone skin is writen only for qvga/vga 192 dpi. If you would use it in 128 or 96 dpi, you would find that the smart dialing has bug. The field for number dialed ascapes above the top edge of the screen.
That is way Tobias has decided to provide in his Real VGA an option to disable HTC Phone skin. This option is set to on by default.
This means that all of you have phone skin (HTC version at least) in your Athena. The question is whether it is on or off.
If you do not have the video call button on your phone, you have to go to Real VGA setting and unclick the option for disabling phone skin. Then after restart, you will have the video call button back, but if in 128 or 92 dpi, you will have problems with manual dialing (not seeing what has been dialed).
If somebody here has video button and does not have the bug in 128/92 dpi, it means he has some other flavour of Phone Skin. If so, please let us know, so we can find the solution for this problem at last.
Hi
Video call button already built in the Black 2.0 rom. But if you use the 192DPI then you can use it. If you use 128 DPI or 96 DPI you have to disable the dialpad with the Video call button and use the standard HTc dialpad (which do not have the Video call button). If you not disable the Video call dialpad then you can't see on the screen what numbers you are dialing. Therefore you have to choose 192 DPI with video call or 128, 96 DPI without video call.
Good luck
Device: X7500 with PK2.0 + Addons, Radio 1.50
RealVGA @128 DPI
Network : Virgin300/300
Softwares: SPb Phonesuite, Spb Backup, Spb Diary, Spb Traveller, Spb Wallet, Spb Finance, Core Player
Its look that the skin (whith the videocall button) solves the problem. Finally, i can made videocalls...
Ok, better in 196k, can use the fingers a resize the fonts of the programs... Thanks
01/26/09 - This is just a minor update to fix some issues and add a couple small features.
Feel free to give comments or ask questions.
Thanks!
This program is a touch driver to handle the touchscreen presses and vibration. A settings program exists to configure how the vibration works.
Since this is a touch driver, there is no program you need to run to start it.
It has been tested on an HTC Touch and HTC Touch Pro for several days with several stability issues corrected. I am only releasing this now that I feel comfortable that you will experience no major issues. However, I cannot guarantee that it will work flawless for you. I cannot be held responsible for any loss of data or time you may experience while using this.
If you are experiencing problems after installation, please let me know so I can fix these issues.
Features

Known Issues
May or may not play well with touchflo/ftouchsl. If TouchResponse isn't working for you, try disabling those if they are enabled.
Disable when device is silent may not work on some devices. Let me know what kind of device you have if this is the case for you.

Questions and Answers
Q. How to I change the settings?
A. Start->Settings->System->TouchResponse Settings
Q. Why do I not see the settings program?
A. For some phones, the settings program does not appear in the control panel. Until I figure out a fix, you can run the program by going to \windows\TouchResponseSettings.cpl
Q. Why is it not vibrating when I touch the screen?
A. Go to the Device tab in TouchResponse Settings. It will display information about your device. If it says to select your vibrate id then find the one that causes the vibrate to work. Send me a PM with the name of your device model along with the vibrate id that works for you and I will incorporate that into future releases.
Q. Will this drain my battery life?
A. I don't have any statistics to show the before and after battery usage. However, I personally have not experienced any significant increase in battery usage. It all depends on how long the vibrate duration is and how often you touch the screen.
Q. Why does the vibrate last longer than it's supposed to sometimes?
A. This should hopefully be resolved as of version .02.2. If you experience this after this version, please let me know when it happens and how often.
Q. Why is the vibration always the same duration no matter what the settings are set at?
A. Use a registry editor to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>OEM>VIB and set STRENGTH_LOW to 0. Thanks to agdaniels for pointing this out.
Please don't post this cab on any other site. Let's keep all discussion here. I appreciate your cooperation.
Thank you for your support!
Ill try it and let ya know how it compares
Nice idea, thanks for sharing.
I read about a phone (I think it was LG Incite?) where some people complained about vibrating even when entering text with the soft-keyboard.
Could you give us an option to dis-/enable vibrating when entering text ? Maybe there´s an event you can use when the soft-keyboard flips up...dunno
regards,
Martin

Since the driver has first crack at the touch event, I should be able to determine which window is being touched and either vibrate/not-vibrate depending on how it's configured. For example, I can see that the SIP is being touched and not vibrate. I'll add that to the list, Thanks!
Just as Martin said.
When typng on the on screen keyboard. Vibrate on every button of the keyboard we pressing. That would be awesome.
Gonna test this on the X1i
It works great on my HTC touch PRO.
Yea Man !!
I love this Apps !!!
Thanks so much
all feature Works like a charm in my Kaiser (HTC TyTN II)
Well I guess I will put my suggestion here as I did with the other 2 programs like it. Would you consider creating a setting to were it is only active on SIP Keyboard AND when SIP keyboard is active I have choice between a vibration or a sound or both?
I know I can get a sound by going to the general settings of winmo but when it is on it makes a noise for all screen taps...annoying!!

Since this is a similar comment among everyone I will focus on this next. Thanks everyone for your feedback!
how about different types and lengths of viberations like the old motos used to have? dash-dash-dash-buzzz haha
maybe different intensities if possible?
I've always wanted 'heptic feedback' on my KS20 but non works for me. I've tried Heptick Feedback, Vibration Feedback and now TouchResponse, none work for KS20. Duh....
Can these options be added?
1. Not to vibrate when on silent?
2. Change buzz length (make it shorter/less intense)
3. An "use only when SIP activated" option.

You may have tried something similar with the other programs you have tried, but you can try changing the Led Id in the Settings program under the Advanced tab. Be sure to press ok to make the settings to into effect. Hopefully it is just a case where the KS20 doesn't use the default Led Id for vibrate.

1. Yes, this is something I want to add! It's sometimes hard to go unnoticed when I use my phone in meetings at work when the vibration is loud.
2. Did you see the Settings program in the System tab of the "Control Panel"? Or do you mean a something like a longer buzz but less intense?
2. I'm going to be focusing on that with an include/exclude option next.
Thanks for your feedback!

Hey hey, it works for KS20 for the first time!!!!
I set the LED from 0 to 3 and hey, 3 works.
0 - LED displays green
1 - LED displays red
2 - LED displays blue
3 - it worked!
Thank you soo much! I gotta spread this on the KS20 thread because a lot of KS20 users are wanting this like me. I'll link them here.
very good work.
i have mine set to 25ms and the vibrate is a perfect length and silentness.
i agree on only sip active and/or blacklist
Just want to echo what's already said. What most ideally want is for vibration to be active ONLY on keyboard when text entering and to be as brief a buzz as possible. Some owners type very fast and we want the buzz to keep up and not still lag on the previous tap while tapping on the next key. It has to be super quick and not miss a key press when typing quickly. Thanks!
Ok, found the settings app, my bad
The other two requests would be awesome if they were to be fulfilled!
whats the difference between this program and this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425063 ??
Hi,
Does anyone know how to disable the haptic feedback on the bottom three buttons (Back, Home, Search)?
Also, does any-one know how to change the settings/stop the screensaver (with date, etc.) appearing all the time?
I don't believe there is a way to get rid of the haptic feedback on the capacitive buttons. Maybe with a dev unlocked device.
To change the lock screen settings go into Settings->Lock&Wallpaper then change the time out to what you please.
Thanks for letting me know. Real shame, as I know it's only a little thing but it does annoy me. Regarding the lock and wall paper. I wish there was a way to turn off the feature forcing me to swipe up on the screen every time I turn the screen on. Another annoying feature. Why doesn't it just take me to the main screen?
I believe lock screens are standard on all smartphones with the exception of Nokia as they have the physical button to do that. You could request an app that disables it but I would find it extremely annoying as I accidentally press the screen unlock quite a bit when in my jeans.
haptic feedback
Hello! A while ago I purchased a Mozart 7 phone, it was a used phone, not new, not sealed in the box!
So, it has reached my hands with a deepshining ROM, 4.0 if my memory is right!
Later I´ve updated it to the 6.0 version of the deepshinig ROM!
I´ve, somehow managed to disable the haptic feedback on the "back" button as well as on the "Search" button.
It was not a stock available option, but trought some tweaking software I disabled it!
Now I´ve got a windows phone 7.8 ROM, made for mozart by ansar, available here on XDA, and I´ve looked everywhere on the phone and on the tweaking software, and I can´t find the option to disable haptic feedback!
So I know it´s possible, cause I had it done, but now, dont know how to do it again!
HELP!!!
I have installed some tweaking software, I found in the Deepshining ROM 6.0:
"Advanced Configuration"
"WPH Tweaks"
"WP7 Root Tools"
But, so far, I haven´t made it !
I´m Portuguese, from Portugal so... sorry for my poor English!
I really dont get those idiots at Sony, why cant I have vibration only for calls and not for SMS and e-mails ? There are options like never, always, with sound and without sound but there is no separate option for notification vibration ! I actually want to turn off vibration for Viber because those developers dont care about customers requests at all, there is that stupid notification when you receive new message even when you write a reply and of course, not a word about different notification or vibration ON/OFF in Viber settings, bravo for those dudes.
So, my question is, can I somehow leave vibration for calls and turn it off for notifications ? Galaxy S II has that, are they so much smarter than Sony people ? I would expect that kind of stupidity on iPhone but this should be a lot more customizable platform and I can tell after 6 months with Galaxy S II that Samsung could be the king of Androids, this Sony has a few things that I cannot believe that they have it released without it.
Tnx
You can disable sms vibration from sms settings and for emails
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
I think you could use Lightflow to do that.
I am using Lightflow to create my own notifications (led color, speed, sound, vibration (and patterns). Works very well!
Please dont make jokes I have one thread in Apps department saying that Lightflow does not work on my phone :-/ Can you tell me step-by-step how to install this app ? I have installed it, gave it acessibility and test works but for notification I get default color and sound. I have no root and my bootloader is not unlocked.
Tnx
(Please note: I have rooted my phone since the beginning and never tried Lightflow without root! But ofcourse you can just try the following steps. I hope it works for you!)
What I did to configure lightflow:
- Install Lightflow, very simple from Google Play;
- Enable it in Accessibility;
- Turn off vibration completely in the phone settings menu > sounds;
- Turn off default tones in the phone settings menu > sounds;
- Open Lightflow, choose the program and the way you want to let it notify you.
Works perfect!
Thanks a lot, now I think that it works, I needed to make factory reset of the phones settings and that what you have said, I have no root. BUT this damn Viber still has his default vibration and sound, is there a way to disable his notification and use LightFlow ?
Tnx

First which keyboard your using if it is custom then go to is setting's and disable Vibrate on key-press
And about Haptic feedback is under Custom Rom Settings so if your using any custom Rom so search in its setting.
