[Q] Looking for Stock/Unrooted 3.2 p7500 4g ROM - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need stock/unrooted 4g North American ROM (Canada specifically) for p7500 4g model(Telus)
I have been searching everywhere and can only seem to find 3.1 versions for my galaxy tab 10.1 p7500 4g model.
Can someone point me in the correct direction to find a stock 3.2 ROM.
Thanks

You sure it's 4G ? Some say it is but it isn't.
I thought mine was 4G too but its just the 3G. As far as I know majority of the 7500 series are 3G.I have one too so yes, I would know.
Go to sammobile.com it has what you need. I can't link it as you need to make an account, for free ofcourse.

[Q] Just got phone: 3G not working on AT&T

Just bought this phone from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QTBQ2C
The menus first came out in Spanish. I was able to change it to English and I put in AT&T SIM card. Voice is working but 3G is not working. Spoke to Customer service and they Said I have the right 3G plan.
I'm not sure what the right APN settings are.
I don't know which international version this is. It's not the UK version for sure. How do I find out?
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband Version: I9100UHKG4
Can anyone help?
Does this have the right bands UMTA?
Anyone knows?
Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100
Is AT&T using any of those frequency for 3G?
Does all of the Galaxy S2s have Quad band suppport? Is it because of incompatible firmware that it is not working on AT&T? Can I change the firmware to something that will work on AT&T? Can someone guide me to the thread where I can learn how to change the firmware if that is the problem? Or is there a problem with the APN settings?
Quick search of forum brings up:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109983&highlight=Att+apn
Also there are several other AT&T threads in SII 9100 that can point you in the right direction. Once you get the correct APN jot it down if you flash a custom ROM as it may wipe them.
Edit: got the correct thread this time
Here are settings unless you have 4g plan.

[Q] Korean version Galaxy S2 in the Us for T-mobile.

Dear XDA friends, I'm currently in the state, and using Galaxy S for Tmobile.
However, my mom coming to the state, and she says she will bring her Galaxy S2 for me cuz she recently changed to Note. So this would be an upgrade chance for me, and I love the design of international and Asian versions better than US version.
My question is, is it going to be possible to root, and flash one of the S2 roms that are in this site??? I'm aware i won't be able to use 3G speed, but if im lucky i would get new 1900mhz 3G though in SF. The phone is already country unlocked, but the reason why I'm trying to flash new rom is one of Korean wireless company developed their own messaging system on their S2 phones so because of that i won't be able to send text and mms.
If the interantional version and Korean version is the same, then sorry for my ignorance, but if they are different, can someone please give me help?
Thanks.

Since you're asking for a comparison to the HTC One S, seems you're asking about phones for T-mobile USA?
This particular model of Galaxy S2 is not the model for T-mobile USA, and will only get Edge mobile data speeds on that network.
I'm guessing you want to know about the SGH-T989 .

The galaxy s2 that i am referring to is in fact a tmobile phone. Im not sure why you are saying i will only get edge? Please explain, or can someone else confirm this?

As I said, the T-mobile USA Galaxy S2 is a different model. I linked the forum for that model above.
See wikipedia.
The i9100 (which this is the forum for: look at the top of the page) doesn't have the required antenna hardware to receive 1700 mhz UTMS, which is a required band for AWS. (the other frequency bring 2100mhz) T-mobile USA uses AWS for high speed mobile data.
So, the i9100 will only get Edge on T-mobile USA's network.
But if you don't believe me, just type "i9100 t-mobile edge" into google.

Ok i get what you are saying now. You scared me for a second there. I thought you meant "this model" as in the one i was referring to. Ok well while we are on the subject, isnt there something that can be done to the phones to switch the antennas like installing a new radio or something, or is it an actual physical piece of hardware that runs off different mhz to get 2g/3g/or 4g?

It's hardware. There is nothing you or anyone can do to the i9100 to get high speed on the T-mobile USA network with that phone.
If you want a Galaxy S2 model that gets high speed on T-mobile USA's network, you want the SGH-T989. I linked the forum for it above.
And back to your original question......
Get one S
Or S3..
do make sure one S is the Qualcomm S4 not the S3 with 1.7 GHz model.
HTC making one S with older processor after S4 shortage.

Galaxy SII on small US Carrier (Carolina West)

Hey guys,
I'm most likely switching over to a small regional carrier, Carolina West sometime this week. They offer the SII and I can't find much specifically about their version of the SII. I definitely want to install a custom rom on the phone. What should I look out for to make sure it's compatible with the ROMS on this site. I believe they piggy back on Verizon so the phone may be the same as Verizons.
Thanks!
Check out the bands used. If it uses the 1700 band, you will need to make sure that the custom rom supports this.
Every GSII variant has its own forum. You dont have to worry about not finding rooting instructions and custom roms.

[Q] Help: i717 LTE Universal (without any AT&T App)

Hi All. Just got my hands on AT&T Galaxy Note LTE i717. So far, its Unlocked and rooted through Odin. Going to to CWM 10 soon. Projecting a ParanoidKANGdroid 2.3.3 rom too (or any other rom).
But my main concern would be, with my locality in mind (i'm in singapore):
1) Would I be able to clear all AT&T apps? Meaning is it a must for me to have at&t apps inside to keep the phone working?
2) Would the phone work in singapore after flashing? Currently, it is working fine unflashed and in AT&T stock.
3) would my LTE function work? (It does not have a mini sim card slot but a normal slot)
I've searched through but I might have missed some useful links. Apologies if I do. Do guide me to the right path if possible.
Thank you.
If you're going to CM, why are you even asking about AT&T apps?
As for working in Singapore, you'll have to compare frequencies between your carrier and AT&T's. And the i717 doesn't have a microsim.
You should be fine!
If you install a custom rom it won't have at&t bloat, or apps. You can download them if needed.
Take notice of what modem you're on now. It's in settings - about phone - baseband version. If it's working fine make a note of it. Installing custom roms shouldn't change your modem. I'd find a downloadable zip of it for peace of mind. Updating thru kies can change the modem. So if something goes wrong you can revert back to stock and still have the modem you desire.
Thanks lots guys! appreciate much!

There's a galaxy note released for the Singapore market. It's called the n7005.
Novena is a Rom based on that firmware btw...and since its Singapore Rom, no AT&T apps.
As far as running an aosp Rom, no AT&T apps are needed, and as long as you copy down your apn data before flashing just to be safe, there's no reason you shouldn't get lte,
Singapore uses the same lte bands that American carriers use.

I don't mean to contradict you sir, but are you sure about the LTE? according to this list of LTE networks AT&T uses 4 and 17 and Singapore uses 3 and 7.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks
Those numbers are bands and frequencies just for the LTE network but the frequencies are the same 900 and 1900 mhz for the 4G network. So, like a lot of at&t users, 4G is the more common network in Singapore.
Gotcha, the post said lte so I figured that's what we were focusing on, not 4g.my bad!
