Thats right, something is keeping the awake. Install better battery stats to find out what it is
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA

I had the same problem with LPB and I removed my microSD card completely to avoid it.
However, it might be a problem of my card. I didn't have time to check. For now I use the phone without the card and I have deep sleep for 80-95% depending on use.

Yes and read the better battery stats thread .

Also, don't forget that if your phone is being charged, it will show 200Mhz time in state for that amount of time charging. So if you happened to be charging for that time, it would explain the lack of deep sleep

HELP!!!
hi. i am facing a similar issue. and each time i turn my screen off either the phone is 90%+ in deep sleep or deep sleep is completely unused and it stays at them min screen off freq.
posting screen shots. it shows that audioout_2 process have kept my phone awake. what do i do about this? i have been running nothing that uses audio. no music, games, video or any key press sounds or anything.. totally silent!!
please advise.. battery draining like crazy!!

I'm not sure about that. I charge my phone overnight and it is always in deep sleep

Battery drain when sleeping

I went to sleep with my phone having about 80%, but my phone becomes 30% 8 hours later.
That's like 50% drain over 8 hours with screen off.
This is my battery usage graph

this is my cpuspy status
And this is my batterystats
I think the only posssible problem is that my phone doesn't go to deep sleep at all
What is causing this problem and how do I fix it?

Even with the phone running at 200mhz with the screen off it shouldn't drain 50% in 8 hours.
Check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308030 if ya haven't already. Lots of good info and help there .

Have you used sixaxiscontroller by any chance?
The only people I know of that have had long bt_wake wakelocks were certain CM7 releases, and people who use sixaxiscontroller (it somehow causes a permanent bluetooth wakelock until you turn bluetooth off/on).
Something Bluetooth-related is flaking out on you.
Sir, your phone.. Is being raped at night. That is all.

Yeah I do use sixaxiscontroller
That's probably the main reason I guess
Should I uninstall it or is there a specific setting to prevent the drain?

I forget the exact trick, but I think if you toggle Bluetooth off then on after shutting it down, it will fix the problem.
I think there may be a way to make sixaxiscontroller shut down cleanly too, but I'm not sure.
There was some trick involving disabling things in the right order when you were done with it that worked, I forget the exact order - might want to search here for sixaxiscontroller.

Phone not switching on: Battery and phone very hot

Just woke up and my phone is boiling, especially touchscreen and battery. Its not switching on, I left it on charge like I do every night.
Just to let you guts know, never flashed or rooted my s2. Its still on 2.3.4 with kernel 2.6.35
Turn the phone off remove battery and let it go cold .
Then connect to Samsung charger and see what happens .
Problems
One factory reset after backing up data .
Two try a another/new battery
Three return to service .
jje
Try with another battery, I'm pretty sure that that will help

We've had it happen when a app has "hanged" and not closed on Gingerbread. Haven't had it happen yet on ICS *touch wood* .. phone gets hot and huge battery drain quickly.. even while on charge.
Maybe a recent app you have installed has caused the hang?
leaving your battery on charge overnight is NOT the problem
I posted this few days ago, I'm having another problem now, unsure if its linked to this. But occasionally when phone on charge, I'm getting a pop up notification saying 'battery paused, temperature too low or hot'
This happens regardless of the battery or charger. I've taken screen shots of they help. Battery temp is 67 with condition over over heating. How do I solve this

Bump, anyone?
Have you a bumper on the phone or other case protection ?
Depends on which battery I use, if its the official 2000 mah battery then I use a cheap £1 mesh case. If its the standard battery then I don't use any. The extended battery is now charging.
A friend with a phone shop told me to warm the batteries up before putting them on charge and to my surprise its worked, weird since batteries were saying over heating

What is gpsd and why is it eating up all my battery today?

Phone has been unplugged for 9 hours and the battery is down to 17 percent. I looked at my battery usage and this gpsd is eating it up.

It's related to your gps. Did you download anything that could be using it. Google it and it could possibly be malware that's stayed on even if you've uninstalled the culprit app. Recommend a full wipe

Just a little update: I let the battery run out, recharged it, and the phone has been fine today. gpsd doesn't even show up on the battery usage screen.
Maybe it was something that got stuck on yesterday.

So odd--same thing happened to me. Noticed it dropping like a rock, looked and it's gpsd running. I haven't used anything with gps. I'm on omega 5.0 with stock kernel. Rebooting now.

So is it better after rebooting?
Well?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I can only guess that GPSD is obviously the GPS demon, which means turning off GPS does not affect it, however it would seem that a process is locking up the demon, so another application would be hogging it. A Reboot will fix the problem however, well until you launch that app which nails it again.
Samsung Dive also triggers gpsd and doesn't shut it down. After reboot it is solved.

Now that you mention it, I was messing around with dive when this happened.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
facebook app also seems to turn gps on. As buggy as that app is, I wouldn't put it past it to mess up the gps part as well.
I had the same thing too. A reboot seemed to solve it. I wasn't using dive.

Purchased new stock battery (need help)

I have purchased a new stock battery for my i9100. Are there any operations needed to be done in order for the batt to work as it should?
-formatting ?
-battery wipe from cwm ?
-battery calibration with store apps ?
Thanks

Take the battery out of the box. Make sure you use BOTH hands!!
Place the battery INTO your SII, and be sure you don't have an iPhone or another non-SII phone!!
After this TURN ON your Samsung Galaxy SII I9100-cellphone, and - like magic - you'll see it works (if not, charge it ')!

Just use the battery, no need to do anything else If you think (first test it) it behaves weird after a while charge your phone till 100%, turn it off, take out the battery for a minute, put it back in and boot your phone. It's a simple way to 'calibrate' your battery.

I've been experiencing the same problem with my SGS2's battery and noticed that it is getting bloated. I purchased a new one to prevent severe damage on my mobile phone.

it usually happens when ram consumption is very high. i have faced it many times so clear your current applications and clear ram before locking or wait until the screen responds. battey stats will improve too. use application like advanced task killer.
Not that

No i have faced this issue even after an immediate Factory reset rather this screen shot is of just 5 hrs after a fatory reset. and i have hardly any appplications installed. and this behavior of battery is very unusual. During this phase when the phone doesn't respond even if sme1 calls it appears to them that the phone is ringing but in reality it doesnt show to me that dere is an incomming call. coz the screen doesn,t turnon atall.
I feel like your battery might be damaged.. if you have the opportunity to test with other battery, pls have a try.. I feel this since you have mentioned like you see the battery percentage fall drastically.. i have seen this with batteries which are about to expire..
