Hey DEVs out there! I opened this thread just to revolt against the chineese forums who copy our work without taking our permissions and dont give credits! This is being a great disadvantage to the DEVs who create such beautiful ROMs coz the chinese user doesnt even get to know whose ROM he actually is using!

Well ... actually the Link is same as our Rom they neva uploaded anything Newly or made mirror of it ....
so we can't oppose them coz indirectly our ROM is getting downloaded... so we are getting Indirect credits
I agree they directly upload our link! I mean they dont mirror! But the chineese ppl who D/L our ROMs never get to know that we have actually made the ROM and not the people who post it on chineese forums without permissions and without giving credits..!!
I hate it when i dont have internet for a week and now i do and i see a crazy rant thread. Aren't we all going a a similiar goal in sga development???? Jeez I don't see it as stealing, I see it as piggybacking each other for help.

I dont think anyone can force everyone on the internet to give credits and take permissions for something that is up on the internet....Android is open source after all...I do support you they should give credits,but practically,its pretty impossible to control millions of people...

Ahh...this is crap! If u dont want people take your rom then patent it (if u can)
Android rom are open source, u can easily just edit the build.prop to make people believe its yours!
Example, i take maclaw ics rom...edit the build.prop then upload it again and open a thread saying i made it, u will download to test it and saying the placebo words like "wow its fast!"
Then, u begin to compare it to maclaw ics rom but u did not know its the same rom dude....
So, no permission for the rom in the first place man...
Why not u hack the chinese forum bro if u really care they take your work. Coz soon or later this thread just be another buried thread on xda...

Because he want lot of people from XDA add him on his Google plus, see his google plus you yourself know and you better know XDA is a world wide community. according to him it is the place where he can impress more person by his work and wanted more people add him. In short he want to be famous for his ROM. So you, all youth have to decide whether it is rite or wrong.
i say give him a shot.. we should be trying to make this the biggest community of dev's we can get ! not shooting them down

+1. Maclaw ain't the only one porting ICS on ace. If he was the only one in the team, maybe he'd get overdrived by now, I mean porting ICS on 5 armv6 phones dafuq

IF he really did build his own ICS, then and only then, unban him with the caveat HE MUST RESPECT OPEN SOURCE — Trent never shared his source code. He couldn't prove he didn't just relabel source from other projects. If he can't demonstrate original code, he isn't a "dev" and there is no great harm with XDA maintaining its ban on him for clearly breaking several other rules...

As you all know, to get the Camera working on Ice Cream Sandwich we need some drivers.
Here's my idea. Get as many people as possible to write to Samsung and complain about the lack of ICS (there's really no excuse as it is possible as proved by Wayland and Maclaw) and also about making some open-source camera drivers for ICS so if Samsung can't be bothered to make an ICS ROM for us, at least let other developers have a go.
If as many people write to Samsung we might get some help!
Sony Mobile help developers by open-sourcing the drivers and helping them. Samsung should do the same.

Pretty pointless, Samsung need to push their new products. A year is when they stop focusing on a device, make way for the new. And besides I think Maclaw and co are doing a fantastic job.

1. Make your own rom
2. Stick with stock rom, don't join xda and don't spam the devs here
3. Email Sammy( I doubt anyone's gonna try this but this is worth a shot )
4. Request the xda devs to create one use the magic words like please, thank you, excuse me, "sir" etc ..
They are working free of cost ..they deserve some respect
So u found a bug a rom and u r bugged by itD) :
1. Google the problem ..there is a possiblity that the problem is already solved
P.S. once I thought that XDA was a dev only site so I googled a entire year b4 I understood that noobs have a place over here too.
2. Go to stock and spam Samsung
3. Throw your phone out
4.create a thread in the general section in sga forums. Again use the magic words ....

Good news! I think this is the good decision. I don't know the other communities, I just hear, that the other communities are better. I think our Ace is a very popular device, and there's a lot of people, who doesen't read even, or carefully enough, and that's why the noob questions. (I even made this mistake, but than I kept quiet, read, and learn, and read, and learn, and than come back for posting.) I think you should leave them without an answer. Noobs will always be here, and everywhere...
But those, who say that your work is not good enough, or always asking about ETAs, and so on... No, I can't understand them. They are not just noobs, they are simply miserable, who don't know, that this is not your job, you don't get money for this, and you have privacy either. With theese people... I don't know what to do.
But sure: I'm really happy, that you stay!
