Hi!
I just bought a XS, and wondering how to use the battery for first (or few first ^_^) time so that the battery can reach best performance?
Thanks!
I didn't think this was necessary with modern Li-Polymer batteries.

Hi All,
I was wondering if it is possible to use a battery for the Hero with higher mAh value so that it lasts longer? The stock battery is just 1350mAh while I have seen a thread in which someone was using a 2400mAh battery on an HTC Dream!! If that is possible on Hero as well, it'd be a biiiig WOWWW!!!
Any comments??
Any comments guys?!?!

Yes it is always possible but you take the risk of voiding your warranty + running higher temperature. I used to have 2x capacity battery in my previous HTC phones and they all end up bloated after some time.
So, it is not safe at all!!?? I would love to have a longer lasting battery though Mine is not too bad looking at how much I use my phone... but needs charging everyday and I don't have WiFi on. I would like something that needs charging at least every other day.
The standard size 1550mAh battery looks good but it doesn't seem much more powerful than the hero's stock battery. How much of a difference would it make? Or it designed more to be a replacement than an upgrade?
It's about 15% higher capacity that the original, so that will equate to at best a 15% longer battery life. If the stock battery barely gets you through the day, I'd say it's an upgrade!
I had a Mugen power battery for my HTC Shift, and it was great. I think I'll invest in the 1550mAh version as it will just give me that little bit more juice, and won't affect the form factor of the phone - the large battery will make it far too bulky IMHO and for the price I can get 2.5 1550mAh versions!
Regards,
Dave
Don't forget your Mugen Power Coupon Codes, I just saved 5.00% on my purchase.
Current working code: 5OFF2010
Enjoy
If that is no longer valid just google for a new code, that show I got mine

Another huge bump? Come on, this thread is coming up for a year old.
Guys, Recently i bought a new sgs2 battery from ebay having capacity of 2000mah. But i m not sure it is of that capacity
can u tell me how can i confirm that???
I have tried battery monitor widget but it is showing 1650mah
You can't confirm it with the phone. You need specialised equipment to test batteries. Best you can do is run the phone under similar conditions for the same amount of time with each battery & do a guesstimate.
I bought a 2000mAh a few mths back and after using it for that long, it's probably pretty close to its rated capacity given I seem to get around 20% more usage out of a charge compared to the stock battery.
Due to hardware limitations, battery apps can only provide an approximation of how much battery you have left at any given time & how quickly it's draining.
Plenty of posts on here over the last few months explaining same better than I can if you feel like having a search/reading
Did much of search on google but couldn't find a better solution
tx for ur reply dude
Hi, I know battery life is super dependent on usage patterns, but can you guys chime in on how much battery life these "tweaked" ROMS are adding?
Some info is better than none. Are we talking in the range of 10% or more in the range of say, 50% better?
Same question for adding an aftermarket battery like the Anker. Are your run times improving by 10% or much more than the extra mAH would suggest?
Thanks

In my experience about 10-25% depending on the room.
Hi there!
I own a couple of brand new batteries for my Android device.
One states 2600mah, the other 3000mah.
However I would like to know if the latter does really lasts longer than the former. On an everyday basis, circumstances are different, so it becomes difficult to make an actual comparisson between the 2 batteries.
I say, is there a Battery Drain test APP which is able to give you a total running time? (this time should be recorded/saved before shutting down the device after the battery is drained).
I think this would be awesome in order to check both:
1- if a battery you own has an actual bigger capacity, and
2- the real running time under the hardest circumstances.
Thank you!
Cheers,
good afternoon guys
of you wanted to know if these Chinese batteries (2000mah or 3400 mah) are really good?
because our original is 1650mAh and finishes very fast, it will be with some of these Chinese improves?
someone here uses?
anxious for the answer. hugs
Bit of a lottery. Some people seem to have good experiences with them, others not. Only way to find out is to try yourself; see if you can get one with the ability to get a refund if you don't like it (which is what I did).
Edit to clarify - My experience was a negative one - 3rd party battery was nowhere near rated capacity, and suffered significant overheating issues when charging, hence I got a refund. Other posters are on the money, 2000mAh Samsung battery is the go.
You must buy only original samsung battery 2000mah . It will give you best result compare to stock one
