Net Framework
It needs updates Net fromework i guess and maybe some other windows components . Update it and try then
Thanks pal! Yeah, Windows update said that some of those frameworks were needed and I updated them. I also installed Sony Media Go which installs more of those frameworks. I tried the compatibility troubleshooter but that didn't help at all.

ooooops!!! but working nicely on windows 7....
I'm still on XP. Isn't that weird?
flashing in win 8 maybe is a big risk, should try other win version.
Win 8 is a beta version, and not include full drivers or funtions.
In several times internet explorer crash for example.
Sorry i know, my english is bad XB

Has anyone figured out how to upgrade the Opera build on the Touch Pro?
I couldn't get the newer CAB installer to even run. Others have reported that it worked but it just installs a second copy.

I didn't have any troubles installing the cab.
Delete your cab and re-download. Perhaps your cab is bad.
Well does this indeed upgrade the currently installed Opera, or install another copy next to the integrated one? I want to keep the install integrated with TouchFLO 3D.

Install that just as it is, it SHOULD say that the old version will be removed first then this one will install. Ive never had any issues with it.
But is that version newer than the one installed in the CDMA (sprint) touch pro? The post date is back in April, and the touch pro (CDMA) just came out this month.
Yea, the Sprint Touch Pro has Opera 9.5 Beta on it already, it's just that the build is newer.. It has a date of 10/20/08.
Based on that link, does someone have to mod the installer that is on Opera's website for it to work?

The build was posted on the 4th of november not the 11th of april!
It is build 2745 the newest out there at the moment.
I just installed the new build. It installed fine, but it wouldn't delete the version that came with the phone. So now I have two copies of Opera in my Touch Pro and I don't know how to differentiate the builds, they both look the same when I open them and I can't find the "info" link in Opera to see which build I've opened.
They dont look the same to me.
When they load they come up differently for me.
The newer version comes up with smaller menu's more for a stylus, and the older, stock, version has big menu buttons. They seem to function slightly different on the zooming.
Just what I noticed.
Won't let the preinstalled Opera be uninstalled. Will only let you install in parallel. Someone needs to have a fix for this.

There is no problem with having them both installed.
Just manually remove the old one from the programs menu in File Explorer.
The newest version will be set to default after install.

drop those in the windows folder to update opera.
Ok, just ignored the uninstall error and installed anyway. Doesn't seem to have left two versions. All links launch the new version. Thanks for your responses!

Works fine for me. Just ignore the two uninstall questions. Yes to uninstall & yes to install anyway. I didn't end up with two sets of icons or two installations.
Try this.

What is a good android emulator for windows xp?
Is there any way I can try out Sense 4.0 on my pc with an emulator?
Thanks!
The emulator that comes with the Android SDK is ok especially now that they allowed hardware acceleration.Abd as fir the sense thing you would have to load up a custom rom and there is a tutorial on how to do this just google for it.

The most realistic one is the Android sdk since it emulates ARM hardware which means it can get a bit laggy. The smoothest one is Bluestacks alpha but its running an x86 build of Android which makes it fast on x86 hardware but restricts apps. Looking forward to their beta that is supposed to have ARM compatibility and still be fast.
The android sdk I tried but I cant install .apk that are on my computer. Ill have to try installing a rom.
Bluestacks looks interesting. Is there a download link for the alpha?

Yes but.....
Hello,
Yes, but the beta version coming soon, actually android 2.3.4 ( in the future ??? )
asks go(d)ogle or on XDA there's mod
Note : for XP, need SP3 and 1gb memory (min.)
Use HD-ApkHandler.exe in the install dir ( the two services "BlueStacks Log Rotator Service"(for log) and "BlueStacks Android Service" (for SDCard.fs) must be run).
Tricks to edit SDCard.fs > Stop services and use Winimage.exe, it work very fine

They pulled the alpha download since a beta is coming soon. Google the following file and you'll find 3rd party download links. Its about 120MB.
BlueStacks_HD_AppPlayer_setup_0.6.2.0563_REL.msi

But I don't think they are too far away from the beta release, put your email in on their website to be a beta tester. Really hoping the beta is running ICS. I look forward to seeing how smooth they can get ARM emulation running. They want it to work well enough for games so the end product shouldn't be laggy. Part of the reason the alpha is fast is because its only virtualizing since its running an x86 build of Android.
BlueStacks Beta got released today http://bluestacks.com/
Unfortunately its not working on my pc

Downloand Launcher 7 from Google Play, use Milocker and search for a lockscreen theme when you swipe the screen up to unlock, and tada! you have the same appearance and feeling of Windows 7/8.
I really don't see any benefits of that system, or something that Android isn't capable to do, unless you're a developer and want to test your apps built for different platforms, but trying to install a different system on a device that isn't meant to run it, it just won't be that easy.

Nope not possible Windows phone OS is closed source so drivers and porting is pretty much 100% impossible, only device s that have drivers now have windows phone they will not be any porting to android devices im sure.
Sorry but if you want to try windows phone go down to a phone store and give it a try
