Any ICS ROMS With Separated Ringer & Notification Volume Controls? - HTC Rezound

I am stuck using BAMF Cubed 1.02 GB ROM as my daily driver because of ICS binding the Ringer & Notification Volume control into one slider. Don't get me wrong, it is a great ROM, but I want to use ICS.
I need to have the notification volume off and the Ringer on at night for work. I'm using Timeriffic to control the volume profiles so in the morning the notification volume automatically turns back on to the correct volume. ICS breaks this ability.

CleanROM ICS

I don't think any of them do separate it..
I'm 100% sure cleanrom doesn't.

I see the AOKP rom for Nexus has it as of Build 24 and Pete Alfonso has it incorporated into his Nexus ROMS, but I don't see it on any of the Rezound ROMS yet.
Mike

Hopefully either my ROM of choice (RezROM ICS) or Timeriffic will update and fix this soon. Until then I'm test driving an app called AutomateIt (this link) to see if it will turn off my email apps while I'm trying to sleep.

I noticed something interesting when messing with the extended settings on CleanRom w/ Zues Mods. You can select individual notification toggles...not quite sure if they all work correctly though.
You can access the individual sounds by tapping on the icon.
Edit: It looks like once you change certain volumes it effects them all just as it was stated above. My bad it doesn't work.

I was not successful with any of the 3rd party apps. Since this issue is at the system level I don't think the Devs will be able to do anything about it until the source code is released.
For a workaround I downloaded a Silent.ogg ringtone and set up a second sound profile named Bedtime. It sucks to have to manually switch between the profiles at night and morning, but I least I can now leave GB behind.
Mike

Yeah, none of the apps I tried worked as flawlessly as Timeriffic on GB. My biggest hurdle was email - I don't get any texts during the night (and if I did, they would probably be important), so if I could get K-9 mail to be quiet all would be well.
After poking around in the app late yesterday, I ran across the option for Quiet Time. It works!! I think I'm good to go for now.

Stock messenger no vibration?

Theres no option for vibrate on stock messenger?? What can I do to get this feature?
Vibrates by default...
Mine gives notification only
Only defaults I believe are sound/no vibrate when sound is on and vibrate only when sound is off.

I don't know what rom you are running but when I had stock eclair.ji6 there was an option under messenger app for vibrate, separate from notifications. Used to drive me nuts with profile managers that would set phone to vibrate but wouldn't work for sms/mms. I even had to install a separate app to control message vibrate:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920668
I have froyo.ka6 and it appears that messaging/notification vibrate are merged so now my profile apps work as they should.
If you're running 2.1 go to messaging->settings and there should be a vibrate option near the bottom, this option is gone from 2.2.
Im running atriarc
Im running bionix 1.3 and i have the same problem. When in vibrate mode i get notifications but no vibrate whatsoever. when im in class i dont know if anyone texts me unless I actually check my phone
I'm on bionix and it works as it should...no problem whatsoever.
In some roms sms/mms vibrate is a separate setting from notification and ringer vibrate.
You need to go to messaging->settings and enable/disable vibrate from there.

When I had eclair.ji6 holding down volume down to toggle vibrate wouldn't work for sms/mms, I had to enable it from settings.
Try the app I suggested, it worked perfectly - it creates a widget to toggle sms/mms vibrate, which is what I used. Has other options like vibrate long, short, etc.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920668
When I upgraded to froyo.ka6 there is no more option for vibrate under messaging->settings and volume down to enable vibrate now works properly.
Bro thanks for that app works perfectly! Love it!!

[Recommendation] "Shush! Ringer Restorer" app to time silence mode

I highly recommend this awesome free app to all users. Basically what it does is that if you mute your ringer or press VOL- all the way. The "shush!" app triggers itself for you to set a time before the ringer is auto-restored.
Great layout and easy to control. I used to forget my mobile on silent in my pocket and miss important calls. But now with this gem I estimate how long I need the mobile to be silent and all done slick and easy.
The timer can be controlled using the VOL buttons or by touching the circle in rotation motion.

same here. one of the first free apps I re-download after a format.
Agreed, Shush is awesome! Have you tried Silent Time? Its another good one. You tell it what times you want the phone to be silent (work, school) and you dont have to remember to silence or restore, its done automatically. And you can set exceptions if there is someone you want to be able to get hold of you.

[Q] Couple App/Widget questions

A few questions...
Anyone use the stock photo album widget? I have one on one of my screens for when my phone is in its dock at work. It works fine when it is in the dock bc It's charging, and I have it set to keep the screen on when charging. However, when it is out of the dock, and the screen goes off, when I turn it back on, the most recent image is all it shows and it will not go into rotation. I have to open it back up and say "OK" to my selected pictures to get it working again. I don't have any battery saving or task killing aps, so I know I don't accidentally have it set to auto end on screen off. All I have is the stock Samsung Task Manager.
Know of any fixes for this? Maybe try another widget like it on the market?
Also, I came from an Atrix and they had a task manager that I just simply loved. It was smooth and simple and I could add what I wanted to an auto end list. As far as I know, Samsungs T.M. doesn't allow this, and all the apps I find on the market do more than I want it to. I don't want something like Juice defender or what not. Just something simple that allows me to put stuff in an auto end list when screen goes blank. Does stock Samsung T.S. do this and I am just not seeing it? Any 3rd party apps you suggest for this function?
Last thing... Know of any widgets that ACCURATELY show info like CPU speed and temp that is transparent? I like a very materialistic look and I am not liking the black background of the Antutu widgets.
Something that would look good with this...

Do not disturb/Blocking Mode?

I haven't been messing around with a HTC Device since 4.0.4 on the OneX and I wasn't sure if HTC ever added a Do Not Disturb/Blocking Mode to sense 4+ or this latest version of sense.
Does anybody who has a One (or can go play with one) know if there is such a mode?
Thanks!
Just bought mine yesterday. Prior Inspire 4G user. Now, the One has the ability to add numbers to a blocking list if that is what you mean.
If not, let me know and I'll keep looking.
I am sure what he means (and what I want to know too) is if it has a "Do not Disturb" option like the iPhone has. Where you can set it to ON and then tweak the settings. For example, I have my iPhone on Do Not Disturb and the settings are 11:30PM to 7 AM so no messages/calls/etc make no sound in that time frame. I played with the One a bit, but did not find such feature. I am sure a ROM does have it or there must be a way to get it. This being my first Android, I have not figured it out yet.
Oh, I know what you mean. Stock androids don't have that. But every ROM I flashed on my Inspire did. Of course it was rooted. I may root this one in a couple of weeks though.

I know aosp roms (Like CM10.1) have a feature called quiet hours. You might want to look into that.
Check out the app called seer in the play store. It's what I use. I used dnd on my lg Optimus G. I missed having it.
There's nothing built-in.
I'm using tasker for this. If I'm charging at night, I turn auto sync off to stop checking for notifications while still allowing calls.
it's built into htc sense 5.5

[Q] Missing features in Supernexus rom? Advice needed?

I upgraded my i-727 from 4.2.1 (stock AT&T rom) to the Supernexus 4.4.2 rom (clean flash with ClockwokMod Recovery). I really like it a lot. It is a lot faster then my old bloated stock rom that had become super sluggish and glitchy. There are a couple of things that I really miss from the old rom though, that I would like to get back if I can.
There were two features that I really liked in the old 4.2.1 stock rom that are not present in Supernexus 4.4.2. There was notifications (shortcuts actually) on the lock screen for missed calls and new text messages, and there was also notifications that appeared on the the app icons on the home screen that alerted me to new emails, missed phone calls and new text messages. I don't know the proper terminology to calls these home app icons that showed these notifications, I just call them "Live Widgets". If that is incorrect, please tell me the proper name.
I have looked all over the play store for a lock screen app that would bring back the missed call and new message notification and active shortcuts to my lock screen and have not found anything even remotely similar in appearance and function. As far as the Live Widgets that used to show how many new text messages, missed calls and emails I had; in the Supernexus rom, Hangouts has replaced the messaging app that came with 4.2.1 and it does not offer a live widget and the same is true for the email app and the phone dialer.
To give you a better understanding of what I am talking about here are a couple of pictures from my old lock screen and home screen from 4.2.1. The functions came standard in that rom and were not something that I added or customized. I would really like to get them back if I can.
