[Q] Unable to flash Wifi module DooMKernel - HTC Jetstream

Hi I try to flash the DooMKernel from DoomLord for my HTC Jetstream, I follow the instructions, but on the part to flash the wifi module i get a red triangle with a red exclamation mark getting into the recovery mode:
"6.enter recovery (adb reboot recovery)
7.flash the wifi module (zip file) via recovery (install zip from sdcard)
8.reboot phone and enjoy the kernel "
I don't now what i'm doing wrong. The tablet shows that the kernel is installed on the kernel information.

Make sure you make a back up of your system in CWM before you flash the kernel it can be unstable and cause crashes soemtimes

Need Help with unlocked NEO and root on 4.1.B.0.431

Hi,
need help with my unlocked NEO (not NEO V) with the Testpoint-Method
I currently have installed 4.1.B.0.431 (Kernel 2.6.32.9-perf) and don't know the next steps. I want to install
ROM:
JJHybrid_ROM_3.1_Stable_CompleteAOSP_NEO.zip
Kernel
suave-kernel-v5-exp-neo.img
but I dont find a solution to root my phone and install CWM. Or is this the wrong way?
I've now read so many different instructions that I am very confused and not know what are the next steps.

suave kernel have cwm included. For root, flash via cwm Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690 First flash the kernel, because you need cwm for flashing Superuser.

Ahh, CWM is included.
Okay, then I think the next steps are:
- Start Neo in Fastmode (right butten pressed than poweron, the LED should light blue)
- rename suave-kernel-v5-exp-neo.img to boot.img
- Open Commandline on PC and run "fastmode boot boot.img"
- reboot phone to CWM and install Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip from SDCard
- reboot phone check root
- reboot phone to CWM, wipe and install JJHybrid_ROM_3.1_Stable_CompleteAOSP_NEO.zip
- reboot and all done.
Is this right? Or can I install the Kernel with fastmode and then reboot to CWM to install directly the new ROM without Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip.
First flash the rom, then flash Superuser.Btw,i'm not using command prompts,i'm using flashtool,it's much easy to work with, and don't neet to rename the kernel. You can get it from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351317
I will try flashtool. I downloaded already, but dont used it so far. I will post my result when I flashed the kernel and the ROM.

[FIXED] mwakious3Drom® (M3DR®) V.11.4 WLAN not working | Instructions in Thread!

Can't post in the development section.
I followed the linked instruction (1b.)
But after all, my WLAN is not working. When I want to activate it, it shows "Error".
What I can do?
Edit: I fixed the problem by flashing a kernel update manually in Adnroid mode by using Flash Image GUI. I am S-ON, so a kernel update in recovery is not allowed.
So here is the better instuction to install mwakious3Drom® (M3DR®) V.11.4 with S-ON and HTC Unlock Method with newer HBoot:
1. Copy v11 and v11.4 on SD-Card
2. wipe user data and clean cache & dalvik
3. install v11
4. boot into Android mode
5. reboot into Android mode
6. install the app Flash Image GUI (You can find it in this forum. I can't link to it because I have less then 10 posts....)
7. download one of the two kernel patches for v11.4 in the ROM-thread an copy to SD-Card
8. reboot into recovery mode
9. clean cache & dalvik
10. install v11.4
11. boot into Android mode and activate root and beats
12. reboot
13. start Flash Image GUI allow superuser permissions and click on browse, search the kernel patch (zip-file) and now click on "flash image"
14. reboot into Android mode
15. again reboot into Android mode
16. finished
If you are allready on v11.4 with the WIFI-Error do this:
1. install the app Flash Image GUI (You can find it in this forum. I can't link to it because I have less then 10 posts....)
2. download one of the two kernel patches for v11.4 in the ROM-thread an copy to SD-Card
3. start Flash Image GUI allow superuser permissions and click on browse, search the kernel patch (zip-file) and now click on "flash image"
4. reboot into Android mode
5. again reboot into Android mode
6. finished
No one else with this problem?
I reinstalled v11 and v11.4 now 3 times and I get every time the same error on v11.4. On v11 WLAN is working.
Still have the problem. V11.2 is working for me but with v11.3 and v11.4 WLAN is not working.
Try to use wifix manager

This is allready answared by Recognized Developer ( /showpost.php?p=18793336&postcount=2 )
The WiFi error is caused by a mismatch between the WiFi module and the currently loaded kernel. The WiFi module is stored in /system/lib/modules/bcm4329.ko . The kernel is stored in the boot partition.
When booted into the custom recovery through the traditional methods, reboot recovery, bootloader -> recovery, etc., HTC unlock method does not unlock *kernel* write access but does unlock *system* write access.
The result is the kernel module for WiFi is loaded but the kernel itself is not loaded. This creates a mismatch between a WiFi module loaded from the ROM and the matching kernel not being loaded as HTC does not allow it to be loaded from the traditional recovery boot method.

Xposed when installed makes Xposed-disable-recovery.zip which is stored in internal storage of your phone . You should enter into your phone's recovery mode and flash that zip to disable all xposed modules .
Hit thanks if it works

Hi
Stock recovery has signature verification so it won't work . I have not tried it but you can give it a try . Rename Xposed-disable-recovery.zip to update.zip and place it in root of sdcard. Now go to stock recovery and choose option update from sdcard . It checks for signature and then installs . And I'm sure It won't work . You should install custom recovery and flash that zip. In custom recovery signature verification can be disabled and can be used to flash any zip
Thanks
Thank you. I got it to work using another method... You can hold either the home, vol up, or vol down button while phone is starting up and it disables xposed. Which custom recoverry do you suggest I use? Im on a galaxy s5 with Verizon, and nk2 build rooted.

Please feedback, and don't forget the backup !
is it 5.1 or 5.1.1?
The quick way to root any ROM, including the newly released 5.1.1 is, if you have an unlocked bootloader:
- Hotboot any custom kernel with a recovery (fastboot)
- Flash SuperSU
- Reboot
If you want CWM/TWRP:
- Flash NUT's Dual Recovery kernel through fastboot
- Reboot
You're now rooted, and you have recovery.
NOTE: If you have no idea how to use fastboot, then you can use QuickIMG. It lets you flash .IMGs very easily without needing to use any commands. Do however read the instructions provided before you use it.
It's also a good idea to learn how to get out of a sticky situation in case something goes wrong. If you want to be on the safe side when testing kernels, hotboot, or boot an IMG/kernel instead of flashing. Once you see that the kernel is indeed working, and you're not experiencing any bootloops or red LED blinking, then you can safely flash it to disk.
Note: Hotbooting means that the device will only boot the kernel once, so it doesn't really flash it to the device. Flashing a kernel writes it to the device, making it permanent until you replace it by flashing a different kernel yourself.

I Didn't see a pre-rooted firmware, that's why i put this guide, if someone can do it and upload the firmware that's would be awesome .
hi there. I just want to say that after following your guide I could not get in to recovery after flashing the 5.1.1 ftf minus the kernel. when turning the phone on it goes straight to normal boot but it doesn't. it goes in to a boot loop. some how it removes dual recovery and can't flash SuperSU there for loosing root and yes I was rooted with dual recovery. could you explain with more details how to please because I did as you said and didn't work
