Hello.All,
The new update to the 'Play' market FC's on GTabComb on my GTablet.
Has anyone else seen this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try this,
Go to application manager, select market and Google framework, force stop, clean data, clear defaults. Reboot.

Hi there,
If anyone still encountering FC/not dowloading apps for Playstore or market, it might also be the cause of new partition or something like that, you can try this another option freely other than fixing permission of vending.apk on /system/app/..
This might help you guys .
1. check if cache folder has "download" folder inside it, if it no download folder then create one inside /cache, e.g. mkdir /cache/download.
2. then chmod the /cache folder to 777, also make sure the com.android.vending folder is present inside /data/data/ folder.
3. You can achive it through shell terminal.
Hope this helps you guys fix the FC(Force close or not downloading apps on playstore or market).
Hit thanks if it helps.
Thanks

Hi, I have like 2 weeks using the new Market (v3.0.27) without no problems...
I installed the app using ADB:
adb install -r com.android.vending-1.apk
After the application is installed, remember to clear cache and clear data from the app: Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->All Tab->Market: Clear Cache and Clear Data
Well nickleby's method is much easier than the one I used:
Starfox's post on updating to the newest Market...
I followed those steps and it worked great. If adb install -r works, then that skips several steps.

Get a file explorer such as ROOT Explorer from the current Market or wherever you would like. Next, put the New Market onto your SD Card. Then, go into system\app in the explorer and delete the old market. Go to the location of the new market with the file explorer and move it to System\App. Reboot and voila! You will have the new Android Market. Hope this helps you!
Hi everyone
After rooting my Nook tablet, I keep getting the popup "The application Google services Framework(process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly" every time I reboot. I have to choose "Force close" it.This is so annoying.
Do you guys have any idea how to fix it ?
Thank you
I haven't seen it on the Nook, but I was getting it on the Iconia A500. Turn off all syncing on your Accounts and then re-enable a service at a time until you figure out which one is causing the issue.
In my case, it was web syncing, however that's not an option on the Nook (I don't think).
Make sure you have
ContactsProvider.apk and
CalendarProvider.apk
in the /system/app folder

I have both of these installed in that location and I still get force close after reboot each time. It doesn't affect anything so I haven't worried about it.

I'm getting the same "The application Google services Framework(process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly" after a reboot. I followed the steps in the first post on rooting the Nook Tablet. Everything seems to work OK except for Google Talk, that force closes.
I also have the files that suggested.

I am having this same issue. Any help or suggestions other than confirming the .apks are in place.
Thanks.
I'm also having the issue but I haven't noticed any ill affects other than it is a little annoying
Here’s my framework apk, I am not sure if it will solve your FC problem.
You can use ES File Explorer to do this; it’s free from the market. You have to enable Root Explorer and Mount File System as writable in the Settings. In the Directory Settings, change current directory to “/”, without the quotation. Click back to main screen, click on the Star button, and click Home.
Copy the framework apk to /system/app/ and override the existent framework apk.
To set permission, just go to apk Properties by holding on the apk and scrolled down to Properties.
Has anybody tried to use succulent's google framework file or figured out another way to fix this problem? I've tried a factory restore by doing 8+ failed boots and re-rooted the device, installing gapps with Indirect's root method and I still immediately get the force close each time the tablet restarts.
How do you disable syncing for contacts/calander for the nook? I couldn't find that so I didn't try that method yet.
Are the permissions correct for it? rw-r--r--?

I am having the same trouble as the others. I tried your file and am still having the same problem.
I factory restored last night and re-rooted. No fc on startup now. It must be something I did later.
I downloaded the newest version, after searching google for it. I was able to install the new one fine, and now it is working fine. I beleive its the same version that was installed when I rooted last night, that one just wouldnt reinstall.

Any chance you could share where you got this? I see lots of results for GoogleServicesFramework.apk, but none that look anywhere near official.

Same problem cropped up for me.
Fixed it by clearing data for Google Services Framework: Settings...ApplicationSettings...ManageApplications...All...GoogleServicesFramework...ClearData
After reboot, all was well.

Well....
After a few more reboots, the problem returned. Cleard by fixing permissions in CWM recovery under advanced menu. Rebooted twice. All is well (fingers crossed).
Moved To Q&A
Tried installing google music from market and get cc. Tried clearing cache and dads. No luck. Running snowball from yesterday morning. Any other ideas? When I ran zergy, it worked fine.
Book tablet rooted with snowball. Mod.
I have the same issue, it´s probably one of the CM7 librarys that corresponds with the actual system rom which causes the google music error.
Do you know if there is a solution? Old version etc...?
Did you try moving it from data/app to system/app and fixing permissions?
Any update on this? Its the only issue I am having. The app opens fine for me but FC's when I try to play a song. Like OP said, Music worked under indirect's method but not under snowball.

lavero.burgos ,
I am not sure how to do move it. Are there installed files to move or do you move the .apk and then install from the other location?
Thanks,
Jeff

Just a move of the apk its like "cut & paste" nothing else once pasted you can reboot if you want don't think its necessary and check if it still FC. Report back.
Use root explorer or ES file explorer to move it to /system/app/ you need to change to r/w (read and write) instead of r/o then you can successfuly paste the .apk

My data/app folder is empty. I don't find the musicc apk anywhere as I look around anywhere else including sys/app. Sorry, apparently I am lame.
I tried moving it from data/app to system/app and fixing permissions, still getting FC's on trying to play a song. Any other suggestions?
i won't be posting if i found the solution believe me. ok i have a samsung galaxy gio GT-S5660M Android version 2.3.4 build number GINGERBREAD.MUGKG3 (Stock rom gingerbread ) but it is rooted. ok so i was trying to free up some space on my internal memory and i was using titanium back up and i converted google play to a user app (it took too long so i assumed it didn't work) but i backup the google play. i was able to move it to sd card thought ,but then i still don't have enought free memory to receive text msg (20mb needed) so i did a factory reset which freed up everything. and i was still rooted ( i fixed it) but now google play won't open it gives me this message (process com, android, vending) so i downloaded a new com.android.vending but still won't work i tried the clear data it will open and i can search but whenever i try to download it will force close (i know you can download app to your pc and install it from sd but it would be more convenient to do it on your phone please help if you can and thank you for reading i know it's quite long
I had some issues with Google play earlier, but it was trying to put a modded market on it. As far as I know, Google play must stay as a system app, out else it will not work.
I would suggest trying to move it back to being a system app. I use a free app from Google play called /system/app mover.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.systemappmover
It can tell you if it is installed as a system app or not. If not, move it back to system and then reboot and see if that helps.

Hi All,
my issue is related to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44940570#post44940570 but i guess the thread is dead now.
The problem is when i access my gallery it closes and gives me a message that says, "Not enough space, please delete uneccessary items...bla bla."
the solution i used to fix this is to uninstall instagram and reboot my phone. but when i try reinstalling instagram again, the issue comes back.
anyone who has a better fix rather than uninstalling instagram?
BTW, im sure all my storage still has plenty of free space on them. so it is impossible that storage is really the problem.

Don't know about gallery problem, but if you have root you can go to /data/app folder and look for an .odex file (for instagram) and delete it. Reboot now and it should work to install instagram

Then go to CWM wipe data and reboot.
BACKUP BEFORE
Wipe data will deletre all apps, so you should back them up.
There's no need for that. Flash the script from this thread, it should solve your problem without wiping any app or data:

Good luck

Quite weird. Maybe you should try a full wipe then.. Or flash the script another time, because that worked for me sometimes. Another (temporary) sollution is to download another gallery fron the Play Store.
an update, i wiped my phone and still the issue is there.
i cannot also take photos now, when i try to capture a photo it is not saving on either phone or sd card.
Same problem with me, my solution is open root explorer then go to sd card then change mount r/o to r/w. but it is just temporary solution
i dont know how to fix it rightly.
I had the same problem before.its because corrupted folders. .try read this..and followed the guide
