Love the new venom ice rom for the epic 4g touch, but when I tried to restore back to a previous rom using rom manager it is stuck on black screen, wont even boot and nothing but blue light. How do I recover from this situation ?

I'm running elelinux_froyo_2.2_RC1 everything works ok, but sometimes I loose the reception and it never comes up. Or my headphone jack doesn't work right, so I don't hear incoming calls.
Sometime it just reboots out of the blue. I'm thinking about going back to the htc rom (even with the fugly htc sense :'( ).
The problem is, I don't know where to start. What should I do? Download the firmare installer from the htc site and just recover my phone? Is it that simple?
DON'T DOWNLOAD ROM FROM HTC SITE IT WILL UNROOT YOUR PHONE!!! Try to find moded stock ROM's or install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=702398
I recently flashed the Das BAMF 2.1 ROM. I also flashed the MR2.5 radio. Everything loaded up perfect and was running great until I went into the toolkit and tried to change the font. When the phone tried to reboot it went to the white "HTC" screen and that was it. Wouldn't go any further. I was able to pull the battery and boot into recovery. My questions are:
1. Is this a bug with the ROM or is it related to all the buzz about ROMs based on the leaked GB RUU causing bricks? Mine was obviously not a brick.
2. Should I risk flashing it again or would I be safer just sticking to the Froyo based ROMs for now?
By the way I did a complete wipe of data/cache including dalvik before flashing ROM.
Ok, so I flashed JT's Vanilla gingerbread rom using CWR 4 and everything seemed fine. I then flashed B Boy Blizzard theme and everthing ran fine for about twenty mintes, then I got what I thought was the sleep of death (only when I pressed the sleep button). I pulled the battery and powered the phone back on. The phone booted into recovery and I got and error 7 cache recovery unable to mount message. I really like what little of the rom I saw and the theme. I sure at this point I'll have to Odin back to stock as I can't do a recovery either (same error message). What I'd like to know is this just a problem I'm having or is there something wrong with the rom or theme? Please advise. Thx in advance.
I have had alot of problems with that rom aswell...not really sure whats going on. Sometimes the rom will install with cwm 4 other times it just boot loops. I have tried every install method for that rom and nothing yet seems reliable. I have no problems flashing other roms, so idk... just chillin with powerwash right now until the bugs get worked out w/ VGB(hopefully).
All of his themes (at this moment) are based on 080211 v2 VGB. And between v2 and v3 there were framework and other apk changes i.e. settings. So flashing that theme on top of v3 will surely lead to issues. Just reflash rom. And make sure the theme you try only says for v3.
good day.
Also, you wont boot into the right recovery using the 3 finger method. you need to use adb or the reboot options
i wanted to try the new ics leak for the GSM evo 3D from the virtuous team.
i did as requested by installing the firmware first and then the rom using clockwork.
sense seeps crashing when i started up and so i reverted my backup. The problem remained so i think it is to do with the firmware.
- the touch screen is also often not responding.
is it possible to undo the firmware upgrade?

Figure out what radio is needed and flash it in fastboot. The ROM isn't compatible with the radios.
ICS -must- use ICS radios, leaked or official.
GB is capable of using a hybrid ICS/GB or ICS radio.
