I have flashed my phone with the full 4.0.2.A.0.62 (baseband -64) fw for the sk17i, then i flashed the boot.img from the fxp111 package, I then installed fxp111 via CWM and finally installed the Gapps addon for CM 7.2. When I reboot the phone, I see CM 7.2 but no market is added. I do see CarHome and a couple other apps, which suggest that the gapps addon when on, but partially? please not that i was not greeted with the usual "touch the android to begin" screen.
as an experiment, i extracted the apps from gapps addon and added them to the extracted fxp111 update under system/apps. i then repacked the modified fxp111 update and tried flashing this with CWM. It sorta worked because i see the "touch the android" screen, but now i canot get past the screen, even though i see that the phone is registering my touch since the lil android glows when i touch it, but the next screen refuses to come up.
please help as i would love to test the new FM radio drivers in the CM 7.2.

Hi guys !
I have installed v.5 .That version works correctly. I have tried to install v. 6 after v.5 but that brokes again at SE logo after reboot.
I want to ask, how get i Hotfixes to the system ? I have downloaded Hotfix .zip files, but i do not know how i should apply that.
Thanks
You can install Hotfixes through CWM or xRecovery. Just go to option instal custom zip and choose the Hotfix you want.

I have tried to do it. But it can not install Hotfix, that notices some error, i have tried two, or three Hotfixes, but that still notices some error.
I have read that there can be some problems with installing .zip files, i have found it in FAQ ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1066824 )
"
I CAN'T INSTALL CUSTOM.ZIP ON CWM RECOVERY BUT WITH XRECOVERY I CAN...
This script it's amend script, so it need to be translated to edify script for work on CWM recover
"
This should be my problem, i think...
How can i translate script to work in CWR ?
Thx

So, i do not understand. That brokes in CWM when i have tried to apply Hotfix. CWM notices some script problems.
I am going to try it again later.
As you did with the rom, use EXACTLY the same procedure except the wiping (wipe cache, battery stats, factory reset).
That's how you install a hotfix
Hi, yesterday, I updated my S2 from CM7.2 to version 9 (stable ofcourse). I installed everything from internal SD so instalation was thru the recovery.
All was fine, until i tried to open Gmail app ar Google Play app or clock app. Notihng happens. It didnt start, just blink. No error messege or anything. So I made factory reset. Gmail app was not included, so i downloaded it as an apk. Instalation was succesful, but when I tried to run it again, same problem appears.
Do you have any experience with this issue?
I restored my CM back to 7.2.
Thanx for any advice

If you're a bloody noob and getting confused by following simple instructions, go down and read about using the noob-proof ODIN method.
First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:
- READ FAQs: http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/Experimental:GT-I9100:Frequently_Asked_Questions
- Make sure you're running ICS bootloaders lower than LPH! (if you're unsure, flash the CM9 Resurrection Edition)
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM9 zip
- Flash GApps zip

Did you flash GApps after CM9?
Tried all of it
Made a factory reset on 7.2 and then installed 9.0 stable and gapps. After startig the phone, I get only to the starting screen where I should touch the android to continue (tried to change language, but it doesnt react. Only able to get to emergency call). after touching it says: application stops working. tried to restart phone and make factory reset egain, but its pointless. I cant get thru this instalation.
I´ll try to dowload CM9.2 nightly build. And i will see what I can do with that
OK, got it. I was installing wrong package of gapps.
Wark like a charm now
please forgive me if this has been asked before. i've tried searching but can't seem to find any fix. my phone was working great but i wanted to try a new rom since i was getting bored. my mistake.. anyway i have CWM recovery on my atrix and it worked good. i've flashed roms before.i was flashing between Neutrino ROM V2.9 and V3 trying to see if i could get the CMsettings to work on V3 without crashing. anyway after a while i gave up and decided to full wipe and just flash V2.9. after the ROM flash i reboot the phone but got a boot loop so i pulled the batter and tried to boot into recovery to wipe and flash again but when i select Android Recovery it just hangs at a black screen. what happened? can it be fixed quickly because my battery before the final flash was about 30%
BTW.. i've tried to reflash the recovery through fastboot and my compute the way i did it when i fist unlocked my phone and flashed the recovery but still no luck... still hang at blank screen after selection Android Recovery
never mind i fixed the problem.... had to flashed a different recovery (in this case TWRP) and then flash back to CWM recovery. idk the reason why but it worked and now my phone is back on and just in time with only 5% battery life left after all the trial and error flashing..
ok i figured out what caused my recovery to crash in the first place. its the gapp addon. when i flash that zip and reboot i get a boot loop and my recovery is gone. first i though it was the zip file that was damaged so i re-downloaded the gapp addon from Neutrino ROM V2.9 fourm but now chrome says the zip is infected so ok i went and download the full gapp addon for CM7 rom and that flashes without crashing my recovery but when the phone restarts i can't access half the gapp like market and gmail and a few others. they show that they are installed in Manage Applications but they don't show up in the app drawer.. whats the problem now? i've never had this problem before
Alright guys, I need some big time help. I've recently rooted by US cellular s3 by using a link on youtube (it wont let me post it because I'm new).
Everything went well with the root and I was ALMOST done completing everything I needed for my new cyanogenmod 10.1.2 ROM (or whatever download upgraded me to 4.2.2). I downloaded a gaaps package and flashed the zip file it came with and my phone rebooted into Team Win recovery project.... not into the CWM I've been using the whole time. Now when i turn on my phone, it loads to cyanogenmod home screen, but says the gaaps package has stopped and setup wizard has stopped.
I reboot into recovery and it takes me into the TEAM WIN RECOVERY PROJECT instead of the CWM reboot screen i've been using the whole time. Before flashing the gaaps package, I did a nandroid backup of both my cyanogenmod ROM and the unrooted ROM and switched back and forth between both with no issues. Now with the TWRP reboot, it doesn't show anything in the restore tab.
Heres some highlights:
I'm using a Macbook Pro, but could have access to a pc if absolutely needed
No problems until I downloaded a gaaps package (probably the wrong one)
Reboots into TWRP instead of CWM
No restore files available
Please fellas I could use some help! Your responses are greatly appreciated!
My phone keeps prompting me to update, so when I press accept, it restarts, i see the green android logo, then i very briefly see it show him lying down with some red writing (implying it's failed), then it boots up.
When I get to my homescreen, it then prompts me to install the update again. it's done this around 5-6 times, and it just won't install.
What do I do?
4.4.2
GT-I9300
kernel version - 3.0.64 CM
CM version - 11.0-installerXNPQ08Q

try to update your recovery to its latest version..
Try to update from recovery: simply flash the zip file.
From this link you can download the latest CM 11 nightly or M release (more stable than nightlies): http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=i9300
If you continue to have problems, flash the latest Philz Recovery via Odin, probably your CyanogenMod stock one is very buggy.
Ps your rom is very old, updating without a data wipe (losing all your apps, settings and files stored in internal memory) you might have problems due to the great system changes. Surely you didn't updates since M7... or earlier!
