Alright guys, I need some big time help. I've recently rooted by US cellular s3 by using a link on youtube (it wont let me post it because I'm new).
Everything went well with the root and I was ALMOST done completing everything I needed for my new cyanogenmod 10.1.2 ROM (or whatever download upgraded me to 4.2.2). I downloaded a gaaps package and flashed the zip file it came with and my phone rebooted into Team Win recovery project.... not into the CWM I've been using the whole time. Now when i turn on my phone, it loads to cyanogenmod home screen, but says the gaaps package has stopped and setup wizard has stopped.
I reboot into recovery and it takes me into the TEAM WIN RECOVERY PROJECT instead of the CWM reboot screen i've been using the whole time. Before flashing the gaaps package, I did a nandroid backup of both my cyanogenmod ROM and the unrooted ROM and switched back and forth between both with no issues. Now with the TWRP reboot, it doesn't show anything in the restore tab.
Heres some highlights:
I'm using a Macbook Pro, but could have access to a pc if absolutely needed
No problems until I downloaded a gaaps package (probably the wrong one)
Reboots into TWRP instead of CWM
No restore files available
Please fellas I could use some help! Your responses are greatly appreciated!

Hey, guys. This is my first post. I am now on my second SGS 4 verizon replacement and today I tried to root it, get twrp, and then CM. I rooted it with odin by using the method where you drop the files onto your phone, reboot, delete the files, and finally reboot. I got root. But when I started up goomanager, the twrp download didn't start so I downloaded ClockworkMod. I rebooted into recovery after installing the Gapps and CM but decided that ClockworkMod was too intimidating so I rebooted. Then, I went into rom toolbox, and flashed twrp 2.5.x.x. After that, I tried to reboot into recovery but what happened was it went into download mode right after the blue letters say rebooting into recovery. Now, I am freaking out because I am rooted but can't get twrp so I can't get CM and touchwiz is awful. Please, any help is much appreciated. I am lost and inexperience! Should I go to VZ and have them reset my phone and start from scratch?

There's no custom recovery for the new updates, hasn't been for awhile, won't be any time in the immediate future or ever.

Mid year I decided to root and flash Cm 11 onto my little s3 mini (gt-i8190) and everything went great. Recently I read on the Novafusion website that they recommend using TWRP instead of CWM, searched on Google and saw it was safe to flash over custom recoveries. I used Odin to flash over the TWRP I downloaded from the Novafusion site. When odin completed its process my phone rebooted into TWRP and it all seemed fine, then I proceeded to flash the latest version of the Cm 11 4.4.4 rom. Again everything went great and my phone booted up normally.
I got the zip file for the Android L keyboard and I used Rom manager to reboot into recovery and showed the "Samsung Galaxy sIII mini gt-i8190 screen and just went black for 10 seconds, rebooted and continued going black then rebooting. I pulled the battery out and booted up my phone again then used rom manager to flash CWM again and it worked! I used CWM to flash the keyboard apk and it worked.
I was a little bit worried about the recovery bootloop and decided to make a nandroid backup. I couldnt reboot into recovery, manual way or with Rom manager.
I have used odin to flash CWM and TWRP a few times now without any luck. My phone just reboots normally when odin finishes.
If anyone could shed some light on this issue I would be grateful.
Thank you.
Hi! I've been messing with my phone for a while and have it rooted and Bumpd with TWRP and I recently decided to switch back from the unofficial CM12 to the system backup I made before flashing CM. After I restored it, it wanted to install a sprint update and said it would reboot to install it, stupidly I pressed "okay" and didn't realize that it probably wouldn't install correctly with TWRP and not the original recovery. Now every time I restart the phone it boots into recovery (I assume because it wants to install the update). I have tried to boot it into download to reinstall the stock firmware but it still boots into recovery. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Have a great day! from my LG G3
Well, it seems like I have ****ed up trying to flash Gapps onto my brand new Nubia Z5s (not the mini version)
The first thing I did was rooting it (using Vroot or Iroot) which worked perfectly. It installed Superuser just fine
Then I had some problems getting a custom recovery.
After ****ing up my recovery by flashing with the chinese tool most people seem to use, I finally got a working english CWM (using the program depicted in the first image of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2749259).
At this point I should have made a backup, but I did not. Retarded me installed flashify and used it to flash Gapps. That's where it went wrong. When the phone rebooted, I got flooded with error messages about google processes that had stopped. I did manage to get into my settings screen, where I don't get flooded. From there I can alter USB debugging and all that stuff.
I then made a backup from CWM recovery of this situation, which is the one I currently am in. I did try to flash another Gapps zip over the Gapps I flashed with flashify, but that just sent my device into bootloop. I got out of bootloop by restoring the backup I made. I also tried flashing MIU (http://www.needrom.com/download/nubia-z5s-miui-v5-2/). It looked fine for the first minute, but then it suddenly started rebooting at random, and it turned out most apps woulden't open. So I restored to the backup once again.
Could anyone please help me figure out how to get Gapps working? I frankly dont care on which rom, as long as it doesn't have buggs (The stockrom didn''t have any either).

I flashed a rom from Needrom,. which is the stock Nubia OS with Gapps built in. Works perfectly now!
Hello, i will try to be thorough.
BUT, i am a noob and didnt write down everything i did.
Have a I717 at&t note 1. with the 4.1.2 update originally OTA installed by keis.
I recently rooted it using Saferoot. it went well and i didnt see any problems. i flashed a custom rom and didnt like it so using clockworkmod recovery i went back to the 4.1.2. I then tried pac lollipop >pac_quicyatt_lp.beta-1.unofficial_20150327< i liked this rom but needed to flash Gapps.
This is where the trouble started. i didnt/dont know the proper procedure to flash the Gapps on top of or into the rom.
I first tried >gapps-5.0.x-20150404-minimal-edition-signed.zip< and it looked like it loaded correctly. but nothing appeared in the phone. the pac rom was still working well.
I then did more research and tried >gapps-lp-20150222-signed.zip< , again it looked like it loaded well but nothing showed up "in" the phone.
right here is where things got screwy. i had been using clorkworkmod for recovery and rebooting. and i think somewhere in developer settings i clicked something about how rebooting is handled.
because after trying to install the Gapps it went into Cyanogen recovery... and loops.
no matter what i do it goes back to cyanogen recovery.
I never knowingly installed cyanogen and dont know why it all of a sudden is going into cyanogen recovery over and over.
a list of things that may have bearing:
1. i tried reinstalling the pac rom. it loads and completes but it still just goes to recovery.
2. tried different ways of clearing cache and data wipes.
3. computer, kies, and odin 3.09 do not recognize phone.
4. have proper drivers on computer. phone was previously recognized by kies and cpu (4.1.2).
5. currently the only way to get anything into phone is by pulling sd card and reinstalling with info on it then using cyanogen recovery.
6. i have searched for about 11 hours and tried a bunch of things. but just restarts in cyanogen recovery
7. i was scared to fully try things i found that wernt specifically for the i717.
8. i could not find an original gingerbread rom. they all seemed fishy (needed downloaders. or ended in .zip.rar)
9. had backed up with clockworkmod and with titanium recovery (while in 4.1.2).
I dont know if i can reach the clockworkmod save through cyanogen recovery.... if so it seems like a great option.
10. at the bottom of the screen while loading rom is.... ---->>> E: cannot load volume /misc
11. only pac rom will successfully re-flash (even though it still just goes back to cyanogen). any other flash and it crashes halfway through.... i then restart and it just loops back to cyanogen recovery.
I searched here and tried the five recommended posts.
I could not try a lot of the "fixes" because the phone isnt recognized by cpu or odin (computer does beep when connected but doesnt show up anywhere).
Can you help me get back my phone please?
