Try mioptimusone and search the forum for roq (not roqu3). I'm using this kernel and it's the best I've tried so far.
Not sure if Roqu3 is OK with me posting a link...but I hope he doesn't mind people using (and appreciating) his work:

Here is what RoQ wrote...
03/10/2012 - More patches and a new touchdriver courtesy of thachtunganh (ta-dev from kernel) on my repo found last week and forkeó (made a copy and I assume it will patch suddenly and published as well) then sent me several patches but only left me with some, of which the most important is its touchdriver which is fixed to a lower consumption of CPU, I've been testing and although the cel runs normal and does not pull as much CPU used to be before, ie it is something like that of Der_Caveman without losing fluidity, it seems very good. here is site for previous and latest roq kernels:
mioptimusone.com/foros/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=684

just flashed the latest version... I have to say I'm impressed it's the smoothest kernel I've used so far, 729/480 conservative

Indeed, almost as good as Franco kernel (this is just my opinion).
Great kernel, nevertheless. And strange that it has no large user base, at least on XDA...

Is the dev even part of this community? Maybe we should invite him to share his work here.. That way we can report bugs, or test new versions

Thanks to everyone
However...Where can I find the link of the topic where Roq puts his latest kernel everytime?
EDIT: Sorry, I've found it The latest build is number 63!

Yep...he is here as Roqu3. There is an old thread about his first attempt to make a kernel, but nothing related to his latest work.

Well...some people took offense when I recommended it over franco#4.
Oh wait, even you said franco's is the best EVAR
So I assume the dev doesn't want to be part of this bickering debate...

No offence here. It is just my personal oppinion. I think that anyone should use what suits him / her best. Android is about freedom of choice, right?

Obviously I was just joking
On the same topic, I find people hyper-sensitive here on this forum...very hard to crack a joke and make a sarcastic comment...you must have seen the reaction my comments triggered in the franco kernel thread. I wonder why...

Pure AOSP ICS rom for Xperia Active?

Hi all! I'm looking for a fully AOSP rom that will run on my Xperia Active? Does anyone know of any? I don't want further modifications like AOKP or CM9. I just want the pure Android rom.

Yeah, I saw polishblood too. I even replied to the thread asking about information on porting it to Xperia Active. After an our or so, a mod closed the thread on request of the OP so I guess that's a "no, you're not getting this on your Active" answer. xD

Oh.. I was following this as well the other day and I never got the ROM to boot. It would always get stuck at the SONY boot logo. But this tutorial doesn't have anything about compiling for specific devices though?

Let me know how it goes. I have not tested it on VZW yet but it should work with any of my ROMS and Beans ROM. Basically any stock based ROM.

The one without boot animation in the name.
OK....here I go......
Edit: OK....got it installed. Seems all is well. Just ran quadrant and got 100 points less than average.....but that could be a number of factors and isn't noticeable anyway.
PS: something new.....for quite awhile now when I would tap into a thread or post to a thread then exit, xda would totally shut down as would others forums with the same format.
It didn't do that when I just posted here. Weird?????

Thanks for this. I just flashed the Unsecure Boot Image - L7 Base - Anim Support.zip in TWRP. I still have Chainfire's app installed and it's showing the Exploit is still exploitable, is that normal?
I do have a new Nexus looking boot animation. My Kernel Version shows as:
3.0.31-679347

SMP PREEMPT Wed Dec 26 10:26:24 KST 2012
Do I have the updated kernel with the exploit patched?

I've just read on one of the MIUI dev's weibo page (kind of Facebook for chinese people, for those who do not know it), that they started working on the Nexus 5 port, and expect maybe 2 month of work to get it stable.
Of course, no other timeline for now

OP fixed to stop confusion (these are not official nightlies)
Think I'll wait, the current roms are quite stable apart from missing FP, the rest works well, will obviously work better when official source is released but introducing random crashes/reboots just to get FP....nah, I'll wait. Good luck though

Humble request to developers

Thanks to developers we've plenty of great ROM's available for our 2.5 year old budget handset Redmi 3S (Land). Honestly speaking during this time my device never got slower, my device is performing like a smartphone of 2018. One thing that changed drastically was battery backup.
Our device is getting newer ROM's every now & then but we've fewer kernel options available.
I request developers please create few kernels for Land.
Thanks team Land.
Look, you have to sacrifice something to get something...
invest money in buying mi powerbank... it'll save your money for another decade...
and honestly all are working for optimum of performance, battery isn't a problem...
and main reason for battery drain is google play services and google app itself... try using gms doze magisk module and tweaking kernel profiles for the time being....
thanks for listening...

Hi,
If a kernel focused on bb and lagy af did you use it. Kernels available for land are balanced. IMO having many is not better than having a good one.(Not in case of rom).
