flash an official stock in your region via odin
Go With this you don´t need to flash new rom, only this from CWM
I´ve tried it already and i know for sure that it works

Hi everyone,i just flashed, for the first time,a custom rom on my G3.
The version 5.1 for Kyrillo's Rom. Everything worked fine,my phone is fully operational, but seems like i missed something, because i cant find the "5 lockscreens" choices, neither i can OverClock it .
I Ignored the part that said that i needed to flash "Fugumod" before flashing this rom, because i haven't found any instruction on the web of how to actually do it,and flash another rom after this or whatever the process is.
Sorry about any english mistake, but i need some hand here,on of how to "fix" it,or how to do the full process (i dont mind having to re flash the entire rom ),i just want to make it right this time
Thanks, and sorry if its in the wrong Thread.
So
Lockscreens in settings-> display
Fugumod is kernel and you have to flash it to overclock. You can find it in development section.
It will not replace kyrillos, it only flashes new kernel
How to flash it?
Odin - one package option

jsut follow the steps like a normal ... like u flashed kyrillos 5.1
but instead of the one package of kyrillos use the fugumod kernel file
Hi there,
I'm currently running v6 stock of wolfbreaks ROM, however I would like try perhaps some of the custom versions.
Is this still a matter of simply downloading the ROM, then installing the .zip through xrecovery?
Thanks
no not mostly all needs to be flashed thru Flahstool and only few thru xrec...and u can go for either Dooms or Z's kernel there are lots out there but do remember to backup everythin !!
hope it helps
plz thank if it did!!
Hey everyone
A little while ago I jumped on the ICS bandwagon and flashed my villainrom 2.5-toting Optus i9100 to WanamLite 8.9, via CWM Recovery.
its been buggy as hell and the phone has turned to garbage ever since, with random freezing, touch input not responding, et cetera.
my question is - should i have flashed to one of the leaked samsung ICS ROMs via ODIN before updating to wanamlite via CWM Recovery?
i remember back in the SGS days, when moving from 2.1/2.2 to 2.3, you had to flash a generic 2.3 ROM via ODIN before you could flash a custom one. flashing a gingerbread darky's ROM over a froyo custom ROM directly using CWM caused all kinds of problems.
now that the official Samsung XXLPQ ICS is out, i want to flash to a pre-rooted version of it with CF-Root kernel (the ones that wanam himself has uploaded). but should i flash via ODIN to an official ICS first, and then root + flash the wanam custom version, just like i had to do when going from 2.2 to 2.3 on my original SGS?

If i helped please consider clicking yes, thats what my dog always wanted ! Sent from under my bed
Sorry for the previous post i clicked it while it ways empty by wrong
Just get ur phone into download mode and flash the stock jpq
After that do wipe cache and factory and ull be good to go
isn't the problem with doing that the fact that the bootloader will be upgraded as well, meaning i can't reset the flash counter with my USB jig anymore?

Not really needed .
But this is what i always do with any major upgrade or new custom rom .
titanium backup and nandroid backup
Wipe.format system data cache .
Install stock rom of same version
Root with CWM and Root kernel.
Flash new rom .
result no problems .
jje
Restore backed up apps .
So there has been a lack of relevant threads that explain my topic issue for me so I have decided to make one for myself and for others in the event that this happens. So right now I am using RemICS-UX 4.0.4 but I wanted to use Eng-matts ergybit 2.3 rom, because I am traveling and I need video calling from skype, but when I tried to flash this rom with odin, instal via cwm it goes into a bootloop. I also tried to flash Ruebens Lewa os since it uses gingerbread as a base, then I tried to acquire the ROM again but I git a bootloop. Sadly I didnt back up my stock rom, so I'm trying to find away to get back to the stock rom so I can fladh eng matts rom again.
So if anyone has anyway for me to get to my stock rom please help
My device is the sgp 5.0 international

You need to install rj kernel if you have an intl device and entropy kernel for usa device . After you install the kernel you can flash erygit rom. Just replace the kernel

maybe you should flash the rom again with cwm and if you get a bootloop just reset factory/cache works for me : )
Go into CWM Recovery (if possible) and flash rumirand r14 kernel and flash a new ROM.
Suggestion: Next time flash a ROM via CWM Recovery, ODIN flashing is easier to brick than CWM, CWM is very safe and you can always reset the bootmode if you're stuck somewhere!
Thanks guys

Hi!
I bought a used SGS 2 really cheap yesterday as i lost my old one accidently last week.
Well, i know how to root, how to flash a kernel and rom and so on as i did it on my last SGS2. BUT, my last phone used ICS and this phone uses GB 2.3.5.
Well, i thought i just would root the phone, flash Siyah V5.0.1 and then the rom BUT after i flashed in Siyah, the phone wont start?! I boots trough both Siyah/Samsung logos but then it just turns white?!
What is it that i have to do to get my phone working with Omegas newest ROM and also with the newest Neatrom 4.8??
Do i need the dorimanx 9.sometin kernel for the newest OmegaROM? Which kernel for
I do have the insanechip and as i remember Siyah was the safest kernel last time i did theese kind of things?
So, can someone kindly guide me trough this as I am sure that I am missing something that f**ks everything up..
Thanks in advance //Mathias
