Dear All,
I have an LG Optimus One. I have google mail and office's microsoft exchange mail. All my contacts on the phone automatically came due to exchange server.
I wanted to sync my phone with home PC so that any new contacts created at home / office are synced.
Problem: The Optimus One does not syn with home PC. (It automatically sync with Office PC via exchange server).
Solutions tried:
1) Tried using LG PC Suite that came with the phone to sync contacts with home PC. It does not syn even a single contact.
2) Tried the updated PC sync.
3) Tried the LG outlook sync.
4) Even tried syncsquare - it also did not sync a single contact.
I have attached the screenshot for your reference.
Please let me know how to sync the Optimus One's contacts with home PC. I have both windows and Gentoo Linux at home and hence can use any OS to sync.
Thanks a ton in advance.
Regards,
Enable wireless u will be able to sync after that.

Hi,
First of all go to settings->SD card and phone
storage->uncheck 'Mass storage only' option. Now connect
the phone to the PC via USB. A green android bot will
appear which will notify you that the USB is connected. Now
you have 2 options:
1)Select 'Turn on USB storage' on the phone. The green bot
will now turn orange.(Alternatively, you can open the
notification bar and press upon 'Select to copy files
to/from your computer') Now you can access your memory card
through your computer. To disconnect press 'Turn off USB
storage' on the phone
2)To connect via PC suite: When the green bot appears,
don't select 'turn on usb storage'. Just open PCsuite and
select 'connect phone'. Now you will be able to sunchronize
your phone with the PC and also be able to update your
phone.
I can't even sync anything Tried everything, so I went to using the device to backup itself and sync with the cloud.
Hi All,
I have tried everything. The device is not connected as 'mass storage' when connected by USB.
The device is found by PC Suite (See screen shot) but is does not sync any contact.
Please help. I have more than 1000 entries in my address book on the Droid (ie. I got it from my Exchange Server).
Regards,
same problem for me
The PCsuite sees phone, it starts sync but after one minute the message "No response from phone" appears... Any help?
Any solution for this problem? My LG PC Suite crashes when I try to sync anything. Stupid.

yeah, mine too. I'm using w7 32 bits and it keeps crashing when I try to sync. i gave up and sync via google contacts.
Is it a windows 7 specific problem?
I tried installing LG pc suite IV on 3 different PC's (all windows 7 64 bit), but I can't sync contacts. Also, superoneclick crashes when i try to root it. The details of the phone are:
Android Version: 2.2.1
LG software version: V10c
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Please let me know if anyone else has found a solution to this problem. Else I will have to find a PC running XP

I'm having an issue where my HTC Thunderbolt is not recognized by my PC any longer. I used to have it set up with pdanet and everything worked well for about a week. All of a sudden, any computer i tried to plug the device into, wouldn't detect the phone. A friend of mine has tried his thunderbolt on my computer and it detects it.
When plugging my phone in, it pops up an error message with "USB Device not Recognized." In the device manager, the phone shows up as Unknown Device. I have tried this on 3 different pc's, using 3 different data cables. No USB symbol displays on the taskbar of the phone when I plug it in, however, it does charge. When i drag the notification bar down, there is nothing there.
What I have tried:
Changing data cables.
Using another PC.
Uninstalling device drivers and letting windows re-detect and install.
Downloaded HTC Sync and ran it after uninstalling drivers again and re-plugging the phone.
Manually telling the system where the drivers are (Windows says the drivers are not compatible with my device, even though they work for another htc thunderbolt).
Changed different Connection settings on the phone, such as USB Debuggin on/off, and changing it to HTC Sync Mode, Charge Only, Disk Drive, etc
Mounted and unmounted SD Card in the phone settings.
Resetting to factory settings.
OS: Windows 7 x64
Note: I tried plugging it into a laptop with Windows XP and everything was normal here.
Is there anyone out there that can help?
Thank you for any information you may provide.
have same problem. did you figure it out?
Hi Guys,
Just switched over from iPhone 3GS to S2 but am having slight teething problems.
I would like to connect to Kies so I may upload my contacts from outlook on to the S2 but the status is stuck on connecting with a circle spinning next to it on kies.
I uninstalled kies, reinstalled it. Running version 2.0.2.11071_128. Rebooted the pc many times and each time I open kies trying to connect the status is stuck on connecting.
I installed drivers thru kies but to no avail. The pc won't even recognise the phone as a usb storage device and doesn't list it under my computer.
All I get is a window popup which says mtp error ivc or something like that.
Help...
I had that exact same MTP problem with my S8500. Did everything I could do, but none worked. Finally it got solved after installing Win 7 x64/x86. I know that sounds crazy but all I know is that.
Regards.

You don't say what your PC is running.
maybe try a full windows update then re-install Kies ?
I have Win XPon my desktop and Win 7 on my laptop.
I've installed same version of Kies on both of my computers.
XP doesn't recognise MTP device, but Win7 does.
I think maybe it's driver problem. There's Windows Driver Kit on Microsoft's website. I didn't try it, already using Kies on Win7.
Who else have driver issues, maybe could try driver kit and feedback?!
I have the Win XP Pro and Win 7 Home Premium X64.
After I install the Kies, everything works fine.
You may try to uncheck USB Debugging under Settings -> Applications -> Development. I am not sure if it can help you. However, Kies cannot connect to my GS II when I checked USB Debugging.
If you want to import your contacts into your GS II, I recommend you should import them into your gmail. (I do believe that importing contacts into gmail is a better method for the Android users)
I found an article on importing contacts into gmail.
(Sorry that I can't post the outside link here. You may search "Outlook contact to gmail" in Google. The first link should help you.)
After importing the contacts into your gmail, you can sync the contacts between your phone and your gmail.
Hope that I can help you!
On Windows remove MTP driver and reinstall without kies (plug SGS2, wait)
try to connect with debugging USB ON, the OFF (it is working when USB debug , bug )
This is probably a common problem, I saw lots of threads but I can't find any solutions to it, and I really want to make my phone faster i.e. root
Phone: LG P990 (Optimus 2x)
Problem:
Phone not detected by the computer when connected through USB.
What I tried:
1. Factory reset (only data)
2. Cleaning the port with a toothbrush
3. Uninstalling and re-installing drivers
4. Replacing the cable I was using with the OEM one (I lost my original together with my charger)
5. Plugging into different computers and USB ports
6. Checking and unchecking the option of connecting through mass storage only
7. Enabling and disabling USB debugging
What's so incredible about my problem is that the phone actually knows that it is connected to the computer - the USB tethering option is available and it says that USB's connected - but the USB connection icon on the status bar for mass storage doesn't show up. I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem. So any ideas how to fix this?
Bump.
Android version: 2.3.4
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Firmware version: LGP990-V20d
Please help!
Just some updates.

My computer showed the unknown device message when I chose CP UART. I'm working on the rest of the fix now, and hopefully the problem can be solved.

I can't get Helium to fully connect my Note 3 with my PC.
I plug in the phone into the computer, start the Helium program on the computer, start the Helium app. The computer gives me a green check and says "Helium has been enabled on your Android." But the blasted circle on the phone screen keeps spinning. "Waiting for the Helium Desktop application to enable application backup on your Android," it says.
Well! The computer says it enabled it!!! NOW WHAT?
What's going on?
I've installed the USB drivers.
I've tried it with Kies and without Kies installed.
I've tried MTP mode and PTP mode.
I tried every USB port on my computer.
I restarted the computer.
I reinstalled the program and the app.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the USB drivers.
Please help me. I have to back up my phone!
