its a pitty that a high end phone like the SG2 is getting support by MIUI when its owners can get whatever rom they like due its plenty of features.
But that comment below the official post make me happy that likely we well get MIUI rom soon or late for the Ace.

The Sgs (vibrant) never even got gingerbread. It had to be ported from the i9000. Same with ICS

The question that eating me is what Touchwiz has to do with ICS ? Why Sammy keep mentioning Touchwiz is the reason b/c of which these devices are not compatible :S Can't it be removed ?

because if they put vanilla ics on it then it will be called Nexus S as both of them have same hardware only GOOGLE name backs up nexus...
and samsung dont want to update it as 18 months past releasing S as its not profitable to those *****es
man , it is known that there is no official ics for galaxy ace , this is clear
but there will be porting of cm9 to ace by the developpers here in xda

Ya for all software related Issues XDA devs are there ... i was toking about hardware issue ... u know ... and i had a ques about defy ...... like there is LIFESAVER ODIN for samsung mobiles .... is there any such thing for motorola phones also to flash the stock rom ??
and also about other mobiles like of lg , sony ericsson ?? they also have some procedures to flash stock rite ?? or only samsung products enjoy that ??

Firmware files = .sbf , but once you flash a higher CG version there is no way to downgrade , unlike Samsung firmwares

Yeah i saw that ...they are upgrading almost all 2011 models.... FXP Dev team seems awesome .... and its likely that Sony LWW will receive CM9 official ....only problem is it is about 20 $ more than my max range

Ok, so what I'm thinking about TW4... Samsung has updated Galaxy Ace to Ace+ and they added TW4 launcher, why doesn't it come on SGA...
And if Samsung wanted to upgrade Galaxy Ace, why didn't they upgraded to ICS and made the screen resolution up to 4 inches???(I think those are questions they haven't got answers...)

In my opinion, sometimes these things are just company's obscurantism. In another words if 15 month old precedent keeps getting all the remarkable updates then how successors will defer? Same as Apple denied to provide siri in previous versions of iPhones.

I worked with my uncle in the buildings(his a builder), and his boss gave me 15 euros every week for all the summer and at the xmas, so thats how I'm gonna get me S2...
I have the oportunity to replace my galaxy ace with samsung galaxy s i9000.
What are your felings on which one to go for.

How come the galaxy s i9000 is not sold in shops like orange, this isnt because of any problems right?
Ace have only two benefits against S:
-flashlight
-looks batter then S
But S is much faster, and have wonderful dev support.
Was sold in shops but its quite old now so has been replaced......

Dude, firstly ace is not a crap phone. It may not be the best, but it is quite nice. BUT I AGREE WITH U THAT SGS IS MUCH BETTER.
