[Q] Flash back or not? - Motorola Droid X2

Well, last week I took the plunge and loaded up CM7 for my X2 because I was tired of not being able to use my 32Gb SDcard. Now, I really enjoy all the things that CM7 gives the 'phone and I don't miss the stuff that's not there.
But, now I have a question:
If I were invited to participate in a Verizon/Motorola Droid X2 soak test for some new software (as has happened twice since I got my 'phone last June) should I return my phone to the stock ROM image to participate? I'm not saying that there is a soak test coming up or anything, I'm just curious about what other members of the forum would do given this sort of (theoretical) opportunity.
Sent from my home PC because, while I like Grafitti and the XDA app, touch-typing on the keyboard is faster and provide less wear and tear on my poor index finger.

Returning to stock will probably provide moto with the best results as I really doubt the system they're testing is measured against stock cm7.

if you want to participate in a (hypothetical) soak test you, MUST return to stock, there is no way your phone will make it through the update process if you aren't on stock

Funny someone else just posted about soak test lol. Just sbf take it and let us know. You can always sbf back. Why so secret you work for Verizon lol

Waiting for the "All Clear"

I was hoping to hear that that this TB GB bricking issue was identified so that we can go back to enjoying 2.3 in peace.
Is there any word on progress being made to identify the cause of the bricking and when that might be resolved? Are we just waiting for another leak?

I don't even think anyone is even looking into this anymore. It was an alpha release.
It would make more sense for the dev's to wait for a new release than waste weeks searching for a fix just to have a new release come out.
if they are still on schedule for q2, a new leak can't be far away
That's what I suspected. Hopefully it won't be too long, at least not on typical "Verizon Time". That's like waiting for things in dog years...

Dog years go by really quick, right? Are you saying Verizon is timely or slow?
Feel free to ignore the questions, I just want 10 posts so I can post in the dev forum...
They were pretty slow on updates for the OG Droid. Especially to 2.1.
SLOOOOOW.....with many delayed promises......
I was told nothing yet still looking into it.

A lot of people went back, I'm thinking about it but idk if an all clear will come until there is a new leak (like others said) and it has been tested thoroughly.
I went back for about a week then last night the radios really went wacky with me so I reverted back to froyo

I've been waffling over going back too, so many people have & haven't had a problem. I had a reboot scare once before the announcement & now that I know what it can result in, I'll wait for a new leak

[Q] Is Gingerbread going to be released on June 30th for the Thunderbolt?

Come ladies and gentlemen, place your bets!
i think so lots of websites have scans of an internal memo stating the update as the 30th. if not the 30th then the 7th since thats when free hotspot promo ends and they said a software update would disable this.
No

Considering that there have been few rumblings (other than some well placed informants), I'd have to say probably not a full blown release, but maybe the start of soak testing.
I'm not holding my breath
Who really cares anyways?
If you are on this forum, chances are you are already running some type of GB on your phone and it is probably better than any "stock" release whether that is tomorrow or a month from now.
the GB roms run great (im on theory)....but come on man...its not going to be as stable as a final GB + Sense build...there are many proprietary files that are not complete with the test build...i cant see why the new official build wont increase are GB rom experience

Just wait for one of the devs to make a rooted version of the release and then flash the zip to your phone. Simple as pie.
you shouldnt update if you are rooted. wait for a rooted stock firmware.
I highly doubt it since there's been little or no talk at all about it. I was wondering since I just snatched one off of CL for super cheap. guess I'll go root instead.
I'd like to point out that it was all of 3 weeks ago they leaked something that looked like a reliable RUU called MR2 that was beyond question Froyo. Is it just me, or am I the ONLY one that took one look at that fake looking photo and said to myself "Dear God, the only thing that would look more fake would be a duck bill on a cactus." Can you imagine what the order for such a thing would sound like? "Hey, Johnny! We need and INTERNAL MEMO drawn up. Make sure to put our logo in the LEFT corner where NOBODY would ever put a logo on official stationary, be sure to add a picture of the device incase NOBODY has ever seen our first LTE phone, and definitely add specific OTA release numbers AND the radio version that will include so that our boys down in technical support will grow big rubbery ones as they dangle the information out there at hords of pimple-faced geeks calling with 'problems' but are really just hoping for the next big scoop for Androidforums.com" If Gingerbread come out in an official OTA today, I will eat my Thunderbolt and post the video on Youtube. I promise. In fact, if it comes out in the next 90 days, I'll eat the phone.

It seems that all the excitement has died down...

I know it's a week before Christmas and all, but it just seems (to me at least) that the forum(s) have died. I just hope this isn't' the end for the X2 and that there's still some dev action going on.
I just hope that I didn't bring anyone down, and I do appreciate our devs, and the guys working on 2nd-init.
Don't worry. Devs are hard at work. Although this isn't the most loved phone out there, we are working on it. Keep patient and we'll let you know when there are new things available for public consumption.

This phone mainly gets support from developers who have this phone and want to make it better. Other devs that develop for other phone pass over the Droid X2 because it has a locked bootloader. Which means a lot of the stuff required to run things that other phones can is locked down by the manufacturer. It doesnt give the Droid X2 a lot of options. This is why I appreciate all the devs who try their hardest to get the Droid X2 a little more awesome.
To the original post, it IS the holiday season and developers have families and all as well. They dont work for us. lol. But they haven't left us.
Is it just me or have the irc chats died down as well? Or have they just moved to another channel and I just missed the memo? lol

mastafunk set up a new channel for it. Can't say if it's been busy in there though as I haven't been around much myself lately. Early Christmas for our family here this weekend since some of the kids are going to their other half's relaticks for Christmas weekend this year. One year there, one year here.
Anyway, if you want to check it out, the new channel is #X2-AOSP.

Look, I had my week of finals which absolutely killed my development time. But now that it's over, I've started working on the phone again. Yes, there was a LOT of excitement (maybe too much) at first, but don't say that development has died. Masta seems to think so too. I warned people about getting too excited about this right away but looks like it still got out of hand. I have officially started working on CWMR and/or CM7 again and hopefully can make some progress with both of them.

Now THAT'S funny.
Verizon sat on the 2.3.4 update for 2months "testing" and "quality control"
THEN moto did the soak.
If anything if it WAS scrapped I would see us getting 2.3.7 way before 4.0
And 4.0 is most likely a dream fir us.
They didn't even care how buggy the 2.3.4 update was. And they DEFINITELY knew about it.

The sbf leak was FOUND shortly before the soak yes...u r correct there.
BUT(I believe it was mentioned in the beginning of 2.3.4sbf thread) the date attached to the sbf file was from a month or two prior. Meaning that since the sbf WAS the same as the OTA, that the build was finished a month or two BEFORE soak was even announced. Which more than likely means Verizon was "testing"(sitting) on it for a long time.
Lol...and.nothing wrong wit some blue sky dreaming...I still have slight hopes we eventually get an unlocked BL. But I know chances are most likely not lol.

Happy Holidays!!!
Let's also remember people that developing.. modding ... theming phones is extremely time consuming and what u get when a dev finishes a project is something that makes your device better or more customized.. I am not a developer because my knowledge on a lot of the cpu information is limited at best at this point although im learning a lot on this aspect... I do theme for the droid x2 and I think it is safe to say that I have spent atleast 24 to 48 hours of working time on any of the themes I have made... furthermore when embarking on projects and I can only imagine what this feels like embarking on a project as ambitious as what dragonzkiller and others have contributed to frustration sets in... maybe these guys get this to work.. maybe they don't.. maybe they go ahead and create new roms customized to their... bottom line be grateful u have people that make this phone better
Merry christmas

It's about time we heard from Motorola about ICS

I believe that the 6 week deadline from the official release of ICS source code is nearing up. So, if Motorola is true to its word, we should hear soon about its plans about ICS. And I sure hope those plans include the X2... What is your take on this (I know this question was asked a million times before, but the charm of asking it for the million and oneth time is just something different! )
Come on Moto! Don't disappoint me!
I believe the source is out already. Also IMO we wont ever see official ICS

I meant the 6 week deadline that Motorola said they need from the time the source is out to let us know what phones are getting upgraded.
And it will be really unfair for Motorola to not release ICS on this phone that is not even an year old when Samsung and LG are promising that they will upgrade at least all the phones released in 2011 and even more.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1414221
This post was saying someone recently looked it up. So far it's all the newest ones (ie. Bionic, Raze) and they'll "update" us later on the others they may add.

When I was at Verizon on Monday the rep said our phone was a model on its way out. I personally think with moto rolling new phones and tablets out like crazy the X2 will be left behind.
Not to "Rock the Boat" but here is my views....
uhh hmm....
...We have a Droid x2 which was released May 26th 2011(if memory serves well). The device has been released for 7 months; halfway to a YEAR OLD! Now, with that said, I personally think that we WILL receive android 4.0. Due to the recent release of the Milestone x2, why would motorola release the device instead of pushing a different Milestone device? It currently OFFICIALLY supports 2.3.6 firmware and it was only released less than a month ago. So I think our chances are good to get it. Maybe not as soon as other devices, but EVENTUALLY we should get the release.
Call it false hopes or whatever may be, fact is MOTOROLA is a business. Why release a mirrored device(Milestone x2) if only to give 2 more updates? Along with the fact of hurting their image as a company with a dead device?
Next to this, I personally don't care!!! lol I personally think the x2 is a great device once you ROM it to whichever you want or at least debloat the stock. You don't even "need" the Init scripts if you are a casual user to keep the phone up to speed as of the 2.3.5 update for the Dx2. Once we got the 2.3.5 leak, I ran stock on my main phone for like a month as I progressed my ROM to that firmware. We as the x2 community are getting more development done now than we have in the past; regardless of what others think. Yes, the development seems slow, but how many devs do you see working on this device?
This isn't an argument about mods or ROMs, but we have some nice devs working on this phone. Next to that, "who needs ICS?" I imagine it will be faster, smoother, cooler than GB. But after 2 months have passed, users will start to complain that JellyBean(<<<<Thats the 5.0 or w/e firmware) isn't coming quick enough.
In the end, we are "stuck" with this phone regardless of leaks, mods, or updates. Enjoy what you have and hopefully someone will come along and give us what we want.
-Peperm1nt
I could care less if we ever get ics. Some people always want the next big thing which always has issues when first releases.
As for the milestone x2 sprint just dropped the lg optimus s and straight talk picked it up as the lg optimus precedent. Same phone. Smaller carriers always get devices or a version of the later after they are on the way out the big boys lineup. Milestone x2 are probably what Verizon didn't want from moto when the decided to drop the line. Its not really up to moto what updates we get its more up to Verizon to give it the ok. If the store I went to is correct and Verizon is dropping the device Verizon wont push anymore updates our way. Just saying
(This is just my opinion)
Im perfectly happy with the x2 and I am thankful for the devs we have. I donate when I can afford it and hope even though some of them have other devices will continue to help the x2 with smoother and smoother gb roms.
Thanks!

I'm not good, but learning. The other devs are doing good with the device and I honestly think we have nothing to complain about. If you want ics, go elsewhere or port it over. When we get 2nd init FULLY working, I plan on trying to do it myself.

Im no dev either but past experience on other devices. With a new kernel from moto to have it ramped up or an unlocked bootloader I think ics would not be quick. It would be laggy and severely lower performance. If you wanna port it I think best you'll get to run good as a lite version of ics. Droid eris has gb but its not complete. Devs had to remove parts to make it runnable since the device specs were just not made for it. Kinda like our 512mb of ram....bonehead move by moto.
Hell I have windows 7 on my netbook which was designed for xp....same deal as ics on a phone made to run gb really well. It might run but its not gonna be awesome just like 7 on my netbook. In my opinion.
I just hope mastafunk and the crew have success in get cm running. That's our future on this phone.

Motorola wont officially update DX2 to ICS, there will probably be a leaked version (which will be awesome for the devs), but they wont update it to ICS due to "inadequate hardware." That statement isn't necessarily false either. While AOSP ICS wont. Have any problem running on only 512mb of RAM, what wont run on 512mb of RAM is AOSP ICS and MOTOBLOAT
So the d3 wont receive ICS? I think its more than enough to run ICS at AOSP, and with BLUR, I'm sure it would suffice. Our phone runs really smooth with a stock 2.3.5 build. RAM has "no effect" on a linux kernel. The way it is designed you SHOULD only have 20mb or so of RAM available to get the "speed" of quickload of different apps. Apps always run in the background once they are loaded and when the foreground app calls for resources it "locks" apps out of RAM and freezes an image to memory for a load when the foreground app closes or enough space opens in the RAM and then resumes the process. The "lag" comes from too many apps calling for resources at a time, that is why you have redraws and that is also why Moto put the task manager app to kill processes after 2 minutes of idle.
When ever Motorola starts pushing the ICS update for the xoom is most likely when we would get the notice of our phone getting it or not only because the fact that the xoom is using the same hardware that the x2 is using but just a different kernel and ram, I am hoping for the update tho so we can finally us our dual core processor properly since gingerbread limits this

They really need to unlock the boot loader. Considering HTC is unlocking the bootloaders on various phones under Verizon means that Motorola shouldn't be using the excuse "well, Verizon won't allow it". If they do, that's crap. Then why is HTC allowed to do it?

I think if this happens, ICS will definitely be ported over easily.

Ibolski has a point I think the other manufacturers just told Verizon to go f*** themselves and unlocked them. After all isn't on the verge of being illegal to lock us out. After all there is nothing illegal about doing anything we want to our phones. They are in essence not allowing us full ownership of our paid for devices

Im just saying the other companies don't seem to have an issue with it. Besides its near impossible even if you don't know what your doing to completely wreck a phone by flashing especially a moto. If your on a forum flashing roms then there is more then likely a sticky showing how to fix your phone easily with an sbf. If there is a lot of broken device returns blame moto for that....I know a lot of moto phones I have got in the past were released with blatant obvious bugs. I know other companies do this two. So its not just moto. Im sure more phones are returned for those reason then because the bootloader was unlocked
Look at it this way...is moto going to.get more or less returns cuz of a locked boot....id say more cuz people are gonna try to change it and with a locked boot its more difficult to do so.
Oh and every manufacturer not just moto has to take responsibility for the broken devices....so the others don't see an issue just a moto excuse

I recently signed a petition on Change.org about Verizon's 2$ charge. And Verizon backed off (oh no! Correlation != Causation!) . Hmm... so what about a similar petition addressing Verizon/Moto.. I know it is laughable, but majority of Verizon customers must be Moto customers as most high end Verizon devices are Moto's. Sooo... what say? Can't hurt.

Two Years Later

Wow. I can't believe it's been this long that I've had this phone. The DroidX2, MB870, or whatever you want to call it has been a huge part of my life for the past two years. As strange as that may sound, you all know that it is true. I was sitting at my desk today, staring at it plugged into my computer when nostalgia'd hard core to the first day I got this phone and did the same thing. I thought back to all the things I went through for this phone (and for you guys) and how much I've learned. It's been through hell and probably worse but all in good fun.
I know that I had never really been a "consistent" developer by any means. Dropping in and out of chats, disappearing for months on end, but one thing that never left my side was this phone. When I got it back then I knew that I wanted to hack it, play with it, develop for it, change it, mold it, whatever. And I think I did just that. Not as much as a wanted to, not as much as I think I could have done, but boy did I have fun doing it. I remember building CyanogenMod 7.0-RC1 on a really old Toshiba with a Core 2 Duo and 2GB of RAM just trying to figure out how to even begin to make a ROM for this phone. It was painful. I remember my first SBF attempt failed because I didn't have my battery charged (now I have two phones and 3 batteries).
The first real thing I did was trying to tear apart the SBFs from a few similar phones and looking through the CDT tables for any answer to unlocking the phone. We never did find that answer (well... maybe, but that's a different story) but I wasn't going to be discouraged. The first real development effort I put into the X2 was with navendrob porting over the pull down settings from the new (still Gingerbread) Atrix ROMs. I tore through smali code, XML files, copying and pasting chunks of code from all over. And then, it happened. I got the pull downs to show up and work. I was incredibly excited (and I showed it all over the IRC) of what I had accomplished. Although this wasn't the first real effort on the X2 as keep in mind that many of us were using Eclipse at the time, I was incredibly happy that it was the first real development for the X2.
SIDE NOTE: I'm incredibly proud of nitroglycerin33. He took his experience from themeing (theming?) the X2 and brought it out to be a widely used ROM on MANY different devices. So props to him for achieving more than I have.
I went on to try to work on getting real ROMs working on the X2. This was around the time we started getting 2nd-init working (the magic behind most of the Motorola ROMs at the time). I remember the first time I got it working. All I did was set one property (something like does.this.work=1) and seeing it show up. But besides randomly popping up in the forums, I started working on ClockworkMod Recovery (which I barely got working, but never fully functional). At this time I created my Twitter account and posted this picture. The date was November 16, 2011 (wow). But I knew that I had to get 2nd-init working better before I could fully get CWMR fully working and updated everyone with why it was so hard to get working.
So I set out to get CyanogenMod actually working from a complete build from scratch (not some hacked Atrix thing) and I posted my progress in the development forum. With the help of my guinea pig Moonshadow-NM doing my actual ROM tests, I watched as we slowly got to the boot animation, and to the home screen. You cannot believe how excited I was. There were so many flaws, that it was barely usable, but I was so happy (I think I scared my roommate from all the excitement). I slowly worked out the kinks, and it's still perhaps the most stable ROM that the X2 has (although I love Jellybean and won't go back to CM7 despite the issues I have).
And the rest is history. I remember holding "release events" for my ROMs. Teasing everyone with new updates, features, fixes, you name it. The IRC chat room would be packed with people waiting for me to post the link. And I was excited to see where we would go. And even if we didn't go very far, we still went on (mostly) as a team. Through ICS, and now JB, I tried to provide what Motorola refused to give.
So this is my thank you to all of you. Past, and (very few) present. You all have helped me through my craziness and issues with this phone and I can never thank you guys enough for it all. I never thought I would have "internet friends" but you guys sure as hell came close. This isn't the end of my adventures with Android. I will be getting a new phone (hopefully) in the coming weeks/months and I want to be a vital part of that development community also. I'm keeping my Java/C/C++ skill sharp still by writing a JNI app. I'm not going to release it as it's mainly just for experimental purposes, but it allows me to practice those languages while focusing on SQL database integration, cryptography, and JNI integration in Android.
So from one X2 guy to another: thank you for all you've done, all you do, and all you will do.
Peace,
dragonzkiller
Thank you so much for all your hard work for the x2. You truly made it greater than Motorola could have. The x2 has had a great community with some great people. That is in large part due to the great roms you have released. Can't wait to see what you end up deving for next. Thank you so much from all of us.

Glad I could be there for the ride! Dragon was one of a few people dedicated to making the best of the bastard child that is the Motorola Droid X2. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication. Was always proud to be rocking some dragonzkiller custom on my little moto brick. #DX2GOD

thanks for making my first smartphone ever that much more enjoyable. best of luck on all future endeavors
Your a hell of a dev dragon, thank you for all you did. You made my dx2 enjoyable and I still use your rom on it as an mp3 player

It was great seeing you make all of those breakthroughs. I'm fairly certain if you were not a full time student over the course of your X2 dev time, we'd have seen you pull off kexec and custom kernels. You have a never-give-up mentality. Honestly, even after you get a new phone, I'd not be completely surprised to see the tweet, "KLP on DX2", lol.
Anyway, thank you for all you've done. Many people have come along and talked big games, made promises they couldn't keep, went all Melvin on us, etc. You've talked very little game, but always made/make big deliveries.
Thanks for all of your work DZK. I've tried walking through your foot steps with a 4.2.2 port I got working TWICE, but haven't gotten it working again. I hope to someday be as good as you
Thanks, it was fun watching you go at it all this time.

I'm glad to see this post from you DK. It IS weird to think its been that long. As one of the users who was around back then, I have to say that it was fun seeing the DX2 move from Android version to Android version, even though this phone was stuck on Gingerbread in a lot of ways. Without you, this phone would probably still be stuck on 2.3.5. I have moved on from the DX2 and am in other sections of XDA now, but I will always think of the DX2 community to be the best, most helpful community there was/is. So not only thanks to DK, but thanks to all the DX2 users who made this forum enjoyable to be in. Its like your teenage years...you wish you could go back to that better time, but you know you just cant. At least we have the memories. Cheers.
Thanks DZK you really made a difference in my android hacking skills so to say. I remember contemplating on getting the Iphone 4s over the droid. Days after i got my X2 i found this site and tried CM7 for the first time. His roms inspired me to make my first port. This was the best fourm even though we didnt have stuff like and unlocked bootloader. The Razr M forum im at right now has NOTHING on this. Good luck on your adventure with a new phone! Bye!
dzk you've honestly brought me into my first realm of custom rommage. even though I've moved on since the dx2 I'm still excited by being able to look back on what you accomplished and was able to bring the dx2 to a whole new realm. being able to follow the progress of cm7, cm9, and now cm10 has been an exciting little journey that you and many of the other users (whether devs that were part of your "team" or the regular users like myself). all of you guys kick major ass and are awesome on your own rights. so a huge thank you to you dzk, and the og users who have made this bastard phone's forum awesome!
Its been a great experience with the roms you developed. The Dx2 was my first android phone and no matter how many phones I changed to or roms I load up, it will never compare to how I felt when waiting for a link to pop up with your new / updated peice of art.

The X2 was my first smartphone. I didn't know anything about anything at that time. One day heard about "root", did some research, stumbled across xda. One thing led to the next until I'm looking at a little dude with a skateboard on my screen, waiting for CM7 to boot. I still remember my excitement. Thank you for that DZK, best of luck to you.

You know I have move on also just recently as most, but I still have my X2. I am saving it for my son to show him with a good education and a little knowlege. He can accomplish almost anything, I never left CM7 needed the stability of what my phone offered for my sons memorys. I never tested the waters of developing. Just a few xml, png, changes to fit my desires.
You have a great deal to offer I hope it takes you far. I still check the X2 threads for new development just because I know you still play with it can't wait to see you hit the "Big Time" with your Talents. Good Luck and Thank You!!!!
It really has been over two years! My X2 had the search button wig out exactly 1yr and 3 days after I got it (3 days out of warranty) back in may 2012. Verizon nor Motorola would honor it for being out of warranty. I moved on then, but still checked back as this community is the first android community I joined.
I went through an HTC incredible and a LG Spectrum. Both were nothing compared to what you did with the X2.
After a little tinkering of my own, I got the X2 back up and running. (Took some soldering and precise hand movements to get the search button to work again. When a hardware key malfunctions, the phone will only boot into safe mode). I still use CM7 on my x2 (as an mp3 olater or a GPS unit) and it is on par with this Rezound in speed and responsiveness...
Sad to see you go, but happy you are moving on to bigger and newer projects. Best of luck on your new adventures.

Thanks Bryan, no thanks to aceoyame who totally abandoned the x2 while porting the X2 to MIUI...

Dragonzkiller, you made life fun with the X2. CM7 was awesome, as was Eclipse. Kudos for giving Nitro some props as he deserves it as well.
What you did, though, was awesome, Writing the image from scratch and making what was a damn stable ROM for the X2. I kept swapping back and forth between CM7 and Eclipse on the X2.
But, like you, times changed and I moved on. It was time for an upgrade and I needed a phone that had a better upgrade path, so it was with that I moved onto the Droid RAZR MAXX.
I'm still running that phone and probably will for some time since that was my last upgrade available to me. Currently, CM10.2 is being developed for it (4.3 kernel) and it's pretty stable.
Many thanks to you and to ALL the developers out there that put in so much of their time and effort into releasing things for us minions to run on our phones. I've learned a lot about how Android works, but with my full-time programming job, I've never had the time to actually learn it for myself. I still plan on doing so, but it just depends.
In any case, this is why I love the Android community. It's never a dull moment, and definitely, with the X2 and the entire bootloader unlocking fiasco that occurred that one night and caused Ash to go into a drunken tirade on Twitter, who can say the X2 was boring?
BTW, I say with a heavy heart that I no longer have my X2. Wish I did, but I traded it in at Best Buy. Got $75 out of it and used it towards getting my daughter her upgrade to a smartphone. Sadly, I couldn't convince her to go Droid. She went with the fruit, so I guess that's one failure for dear old Dad. Well, two because now my other daughter went to the fruit tree as well, even though I had her use my old OG Droid RAZR until her upgrade came up. I guess she got teased too much since all her friends had iP... oops, almost said the naughty word. You know what I mean! In any case, I do miss the X2. Might have to pick one up one day on eBay or something just to tinker with. Still have my crappy LG Vortex, which was my first Droid phone. I can't even give that one away!

I just want to say thanks to all the hard work the devs have done to make this phone the best it could be.
I have moved on to greener pastures with a Droid Ultra.

Sad this phone never got more. Thanks dragonz for your hard work when i still had this phone!
New users are still benefiting from your great work
Just wanted to say I am appreciate all the sharing of your work with others. I needed a G3 Verizon phone to work on PagePlus so I just purchased a Droid x2 3/3/2014. I rooted and flashed your CM10a3. I used this phone everyday and its a very useful phone now. I do have battery drain as some have experience but that is minor compared to the usefulness of this phone. Thanks!
